Raised Roman Catholic, taught to respect authority, naturally as a Catholic, the priests in the parish were looked up to. As a kid who went thru 12 yrs of Parochial School/Education I can honestly say, I’ve never heard or seen any of the “priests and kids” doing anything other than normal things. Never heard of the abuse until I became an adult 20 yrs ago. I do believe people’s stories though, of all the different abuse handed out by adults and priests through the years, against kids.

So for example, the Pope comes out and tells all his followers that they should get the vaccination, right? Now anyone Catholic claiming “religious beliefs” as a reason not to get it, are “put into a position” or made to feel like they’re “going against the church”.
