You have the right idea. That reddit piece was floated around the board yesterday, read it myself then. It seemed IMO legit, and was a greatly detailed explanation of the situation at hand. Q posting the link, for me, implies that Q team monitors & gives feed back. This time in the form of (implied) confirmation of the information @ said link. Which some anons had already read. No coincidences.
