Stefan Halper has been an elusive, evasive but extremely powerful man his entire life. If there’s such a thing as a kingmaker, he is one. Read and learn, because Halper appears to be a walking, talking personification of the Deep State. The remarkable takeaway from this is how far back this cancer grows, and how deeply it involved the Bushes. Am an over-50fag and haven’t seen or heard some of these names in years. This will serve as something of an American history shock for younger anons. The thread is long and still in progress; will return to it tomorrow. I take it for granted, the amount of information that we can access so impossibly easily now. Things used to be horrifyingly different, and that realization is still hitting me.

Stefan Halper has been in the news recently as he was the one who reached out to George Papadopoulos in September 2016 to arrange a meeting in London.
“Two months before the 2016 election, George Papadopoulos received a strange request for a meeting in London, one of several the young Trump adviser would be offered — and he would accept — during the presidential campaign. The meeting request, which has not been reported until now, came from Stefan Halper, a foreign policy expert and Cambridge professor with connections to the CIA and its British counterpart, MI6.” (George Ross, The Daily Caller, 25 Mar 2018)
In 1967, Halper graduated from Stanford University with a B.A. with high honors. Halper then studied at the University of Oxford, graduating with a doctorate in philosophy in 1971.

Presumably shortly after graduation, Halper then began working as a member of the White House Domestic Council as a member of the Nixon Administration, holding the position from 1971 to 1973.
After this, Halper's position evolved, and he joined the Office of Management and Budget as Assistant Director of the Management and Evaluation Division, holding the position from 1973 to 1974.
On August 9, 1974, Gerald Ford was inaugurated as the President of the United States, due to the resignation of President Richard M. Nixon.
Halper was then moved from the Office of Management and Budget to join the office of the Chief of Staff, working as the Assistant to the Chief of Staff. This was a position he held from 1974 to January 20, 1977.
As such, Halper worked as an assistant to three Chiefs of Staff - Alexander Haig (until September 21, 1974), then Donald Rumsfeld (from September 21, 1974 to November 20, 1975), and then Dick Cheney (from November 20, 1975 to January 20, 1977).
On November 2, 1976, Jimmy Carter was elected to become the President of the United States.
Carter said he would not hire a White House Chief of Staff, and he held onto that position (for roughly two years), and as such, Halper left his position on January 20, 1977. Halper worked as a legislative assistant to Senator William Roth (a member of the Trilateral Commission) of Delaware holding this position from 1977 to 1979.
Because Halper was working with Senator Roth, he also became a Special Counsel to the United States Congress' Joint Economic Committee.
