>I've read that schizophrenia may be related to excess adrenochrome and may be aided with niacin or vitamin Q.

Thanks anon! There is some published evidence that the symptoms of schizophrenia may be improved by taking NADH precursors. When those studies were conducted, available precursors were very expensive and difficult to obtain.

Now, precursors such as nicotinamide riboside and NAD+ are readily available OTC. However, you will never see such clinical studies in schizophrenia with these compounds funded by Big Pharma unless they designed to fail (eg Merck’s niacin+statin study), because atypical neuroleptics are far more lucrative to treat schizophrenia and cause other diseases (eg hyperlipidemia & T2D) that function as indirect ROI opportunities.

But, even if NADH precursors do work in schizophrenia, it in no way proves that adrenochrome was the causal agent reducing cellular NADH levels. Adrenochrome, like dopachrome, are neurotoxic and worthless. Don’t believe me, then buy some adrenochrome from Sigma Aldrich and then try to pawn it off as crack in the getto. Good luck!
