Interesting that suramin was recently trialed with great success (apparently) as a treatment for autism. It seems, if I recall correctly, that suramin ends a "cell danger" signal that prevents effective brain communication.

Seems to be so.

 

Mitochondria are theorized to have arisen from the "infection" of a cell with a small bacteria.

 

Makes it seem to me that other "bugs" could be inside our cells like little hijackers.
