The whistleblower wrote that Biden "was deeply involved in this scandal the first time around."

Danish state broadcaster DR reported that nine unnamed sources viewed an internal classified report from the Danish Defence Intelligence Service (FE) on its 2015 investigation into its relationship with the National Security Agency. The report covered 2012-2014, when Joe Biden was vice president in the Obama administration.

Disclosures from NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden in 2013 revealed that the NSA was spying on world leaders including Merkel.

According to Snowden, President Joe "Biden is well-prepared to answer for this when he soon visits Europe since, of course, he was deeply involved in this scandal the first time around."

"There should be an explicit requirement for full public disclosure not only from Denmark, but their senior partner as well," Snowden tweeted.

Snowden is facing charges of violating the Espionage Act—the charges were brought by Obama's Justice Department—and has been living in Russia

Previous reporting showed that Denmark had approved a U.S. request for a rendition plane to land in Copenhagen in June 2013 to nab Snowden, who had fled Hong Kong.

Reuters also reported in 2013 that Biden had a call with then-Ecuadorean President Rafael Correa asking him not to grant asylum to Snowden, who had sought the protection from the Latin American country.

Mexico, May 31 (Prensa Latina) President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador on Monday confirmed that the Government of the United States has not replied to Mexico's demand to suspend the funds to a political organization that is attacking him.

It is a diplomatic letter sent nearly a month ago by the Secretariat of Foreign Relations to the US Department of State, in which it calls on the latter to clarify if the US Agency for International Development (USAID) will continue to fund Mexicans against Corruption to act against the government.

At his morning press conference at the National Palace, the president stressed that the US has not replied about the funds to that organization, led by opposition businessman Claudio X, whose broadcasting news agency is Articulo 19, which has benefited from the money sent by the US Embassy in Mexico.

Everybody knows that Washington gives them money, which is illegal in election times, but they should never do it and do not have to, the president said.

Lopez Obrador charged that this is an interference in the public life of an independent, free and sovereign country, and they have not even expressed or hinted that they will change, nor the beneficiaries have said they will not accept it. Both are silent and argue that they are not interfering when everybody knows they are.

Iran has failed to explain traces of processed uranium found at several undeclared sites, a quarterly report by the U.N. nuclear watchdog showed on Monday, possibly setting up a fresh diplomatic clash between Tehran and the West.

Three months ago Britain, France and Germany scrapped a U.S.-backed plan for the International Atomic Energy Agency's 35-nation Board of Governors to criticise Iran for failing to fully explain the origin of the particles; the three backed off as IAEA chief Rafael Grossi announced fresh talks with Iran. read more

"After many months, Iran has not provided the necessary explanation for the presence of the nuclear material particles at any of the three locations where the Agency has conducted complementary accesses (inspections)," a report by Grossi to member states seen by Reuters said. Grossi had hoped to report progress in the talks before the board meets again next week.

VIENNA (AP) — The United Nations’ atomic watchdog hasn’t been able to access data important to monitoring Iran’s nuclear program since late February when the Islamic Republic started restricting international inspections of its facilities, the agency said Monday.

Iran started limiting inspections in a bid to put pressure on the government of U.S. President Joe Biden to lift crippling sanctions reimposed after then President Donald Trump pulled out of the 2015 nuclear deal with Iran unilaterally in 2018.

Under the deal, the IAEA placed around 2,000 tamper-proof seals on nuclear material and equipment. Those seals communicated electronically to inspectors. Automated measuring devices also provided real-time data from the program.

Talks are currently underway in Vienna for the U.S. to rejoin the deal, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, or JCPOA.

https://politicalwire.com/2021/05/31/seattles-democracy-vouchers-reward-political-newcomers/

“Andrew Grant Houston isn’t a typical big-money candidate for mayor with decades-old connections and wealthy donors on speed dial. He’s 32, moved to Seattle only five years ago, supports defunding the police and has estimated his net worth as zero,” the Seattle Times reports.

“But Houston has raised about as much money as any other candidate ahead of the Aug. 3 top-two primary election, piling up hundreds of thousands of dollars.”

Said Houston: “I would say that without the democracy voucher program, I would not be able to run my campaign.”

This is crazy !
