>Still wondering why the founder of the sinister Senior Executive Services didn't get an envelope when all the other deep staters did?
I think on the scale of presidential wickedness, Jimmy's malfeasance and possible felonies didn't reach the same extreme levels as GHWB, GWB, WJC, and BHO.
Always seemed to me that the Rockefellers put Jimmy into the Trilats/CFR and then the WH almost before he knew what had happened to him, and that the Rockefellers wanted a useful naive idiot who would help reassure the public that the office of the President hadn't been thoroughly corrupted. Ford, Nixon, and Johnson sure as hell had given exactly that impression.
Mondale was probably a more wicked Deep Stater in the WH than Jimmy ever was - and Mondale of course died recently. Did he go naturally or did Team Q help him along? Maybe history will tell us one day.
Mondale was to the Carter WH what GHWB was to the Reagan WH.
