Mobile sex offender caught with missing Kentucky minor, arrested

MOBILE, Ala. (WPMI) — A Mobile sex offender is behind bars again and a missing juvenile from Kentucky was found with him.

Mobile Police say Nathaniel Blancher has been charged with second-degree sexual abuse and a sex offender notification act violation and after a hearing this morning a judge ordered him to be held in jail without bond.

About seven months into a 5-year probation sentence 37-year old Nathaniel Blancher was arrested again.

Mobile Police said officials from the Louisville, Kentucky police department asked for their assistance with a possible kidnapping. Louisville PD told Mobile detectives they believed Blancher was in Mobile and had a missing juvenile from Kentucky with him.

Detectives started looking for them and on Sunday Mobile police say they found Blancher and the juvenile in the 2500 block of Arc Road.

Blancher has a checkered past. About three years ago he was arrested for child pornography that his ex-wife, Laura Swokowski, found on his computer.

"He needs to be in jail," Swokowski said in 2018.

A criminal complaint from the case showed 457 items were flagged on that computer including images and a video of young girls performing sexual acts.

But that case was dropped by the prosecutor at the time. NBC 15 spoke to Swokowski about it in 2018.

“He said he wasn't going to try a case if he wasn't 100% certain he could win. Because it had taken so long for the evidence to be looked at and now it was hard to pinpoint who was on the computer and when,” Swokowski said.

The most recent arrest was in February of 2020 for distribution and possession of obscene material. Blancher pleaded guilty and the state recommended he get five years probation.

Making for a total of three arrests in the past three years

Louisville Police say the FBI is now in charge of the most recent case.

Mobile Police say Nathaniel Blancher and the juvenile from Kentucky are not related and the juvenile was released to the department of human resources.

Man sentenced to 100 years on child exploitation charges

MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) - Nathan Powe, 32, was sentenced to 100 years in prison by Lauderdale County Circuit Court Judge Charles Wright Wednesday, according to a press release from the Lauderdale County District Attorney’s office.

Powe pleaded guilty to 31 counts of child exploitation Apr. 19, 2021.

He was indicted by a Lauderdale County grand jury in January 2020.

The indictment was the result of multiple arrests made by the Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Office in September 2018.

A 13-year-old victim reported that Powe had taken nude photographs of her.

Investigators were able to get a search warrant for Powe’s home, phone and computer, where video recordings were found involving the sexual assault of another underage victim.

“I commend law enforcement on their diligent work on this difficult and complex case. My office will continue to work with law enforcement to aggressively prosecute the predators who hurt the most vulnerable members of our community, our children,” said District Attorney Kassie Coleman.

Powe is not eligible for parole because sentences for sex crimes must be served day for day under Mississippi law.

Four Portland Antifa Terrorists Facing Slew Of Federal Allegations, Including Explosives Charges

Four antifa and BLM terrorists have been arrested and are now facing a variety of federal charges in Portland (duh, where else) stemming from the ongoing PEACEFUL protests. Charges include multiple incidents involving explosive devices, among other things.

A 19-year-old who was arrested and accused of dismantling a card reader and intercom in the driveway of a federal building in Portland late last year had a suspicious bottle inside her backpack that drew a response from the city’s bomb squad, federal authorities say.

The bottle’s label warned: “DO NOT OPEN CONTAINS: U-DIMETHYLHYDRAZINE TRIETHYLALUMINIUM WILL IGNITE IF EXPOSED TO AIR,” next to a hand-drawn colored Hazmat placard, according to a federal complaint.

It wasn’t until days later that authorities learned the purported explosive was a hoax.

Rowan L. McManigal, the 19-year-old who federal agents say was carrying the bottle in a backpack that night, was interviewed days later and admitted the bottle only contained water and was “meant to waste people’s time,” if arrested, Federal Protective Services agent Micah Coring wrote in the complaint.

After seizing McManigal’s backpack Dec. 19, law enforcement consulted with forensic chemists from the ATF, FBI and even NASA scientists before deciding to destroy the bottle “due to the risk of exposing the contents to oxygen and the fear the chemical components may self-ignite given enough time to react with each other.”

On Dec. 22, a bomb technician and ATF agent interviewed McManigal at her home.

During that interview, McManigal said the device only held water and that it was “meant to waste people’s time if they were arrested again for just standing around,” the complaint says.

Also making his first federal court appearance Tuesday was Richard Timothy Hernandez, who’s accused of three counts of destruction of government property.

Hernandez, 56, is accused of throwing 13 objects at the windows of the Mark O. Hatfield U.S. Courthouse late March 13 into early March 14, just hours after federal officials had removed all fencing, concrete barriers and plywood from outside the building following consecutive nights of vandalism to the courthouse during mass protests.

NIH Director Collins to FNC’s MacCallum: ‘I’m a Bit Unhappy,’ ‘Disturbed’ with Wuhan Lab Questions

National Institutes of Health (NIH) director Dr. Francis Collins said Wednesday on Fox News Channel’s “The Story” that he was “disturbed” with questions about NIH funding for the Wuhan Laboratory of Virology during an interview with host Martha MacCallum.

Referencing a recently released email Collins sent to Dr. Anthony Fauci with the subject line “conspiracy gains momentum,” MacCallum asked, “So why in April of 2020 would you say references to a lab leak where part of a conspiracy throes?”

Collins said, “I never thought, Martha, that an email only reported by the subject line would become a topic for Fox News afternoon programming, but here we are. Let me try to clarify. There were a lot of conspiracy theories and other ideas floating around at that point. One of them was that, actually, SARS-CoV-2 had been a bio-engineered bio-weapon created on purpose by human intervention by the Wuhan Institute of Virology. That doesn’t fit with what we know about this particular viral genome. Another was NIH had somehow been complicit in the generation of this dangerous virus. I can tell you categorically that did not happen. But then there was this other idea that maybe it was an accident, a lab leak, that the institute had been studying this virus, and it happened somehow in nature, and it got loose. I never rejected that one, although there was no evidence to support it. So when we talk about what happened. Let’s try to clarify the difference between those various statements or various options. Some of them are pretty outrageous. Some of them are still plausible.”

MacCallum said, “Both you and Dr. Fauci really poked a lot — any conspiracy theory that came from Senator [Tom] Cotton or President [Donald] Trump was shot down as just not being scientific and something that should be rejected. Do you disagree with that?”

Collins said, “I disagree with that. We were reacting to the more outrageous conspiracy theories that are getting blurred together here.”

Fauci: I Was Never ‘Anti-Trump’ — His Supporters Don’t ‘Understand’ Science Evolves

National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases director Dr. Anthony Fauci said Wednesday on MSNBC’s “Deadline” that the supporters of former President Donald Trump “resent” him because they did not “understand” that comments and recommendations he made during the Trump administration have changed under the Biden administration because the data evolves with time.

Fauci said, “Yeah, I mean there is no doubt there are people out there, for one reason or another, resent me for what I did in the last administration, which was not anything that was anti-Trump at all. It was just trying to get the right information, to try and get the right data. What they didn’t seem to understand —I guess that it is understandable that they didn’t understand it— that science is a dynamic process.”

He continued, “So something that you know in January—you make a recommendation or a comment about it. But as you get more and more information, the information leads you to change. Because that is what science is, it is a self-correcting process. So when you hear someone say something at one point, then two or three months later, if you stick with what you said at the original time when you had one-fifth the amount of data that you have now, I think that would be inappropriate. It is appropriate, although sometimes it is difficult for people to understand, how as you learn more and more, you have to continue to evolve with the data. That is what I was trying to do, is always tell the truth on the basis of what the data is. It was never deliberately something against the president.”

Referencing the Freedom of Information Act release of thousands of pages of his emails, Fauci added, “In fact, you spoke about my emails, if you look at my emails, I never in the emails said anything derogatory about President Trump.”

Report: Biden’s DHS Flying Single Adult Male Border Crossers into U.S. Cities

President Joe Biden’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is flying single adult male border crossers to cities across the United States, NBC News reports.

A report detailing the Biden administration’s “lottery” migration policy, resulting in the mass release of border crossers into the U.S. interior, reveals that DHS is flying single male adult border crossers into the country in addition to Unaccompanied Alien Children (UACs) and adult border crossers arriving with children.

In one recent case, 15 single adult male border crossers were apprehended crossing the southern border, sent to a DHS facility, and then bused or put on domestic commercial flights into various U.S. cities.

DHS data published by NBC News shows that the Biden administration is releasing about 15 percent of all single adult border crossers into the U.S. interior and roughly 65 percent of adult border crossers who are arriving with children.

“But in reality, the border is not closed,” the NBC News report states. “Under Biden, the determination of who stays and who goes has become a lottery with winners and losers.”

The release totals are part of a nationwide Catch and Release operation implemented by the Biden administration where border crossers are put in taxpayer-funded migrant hotels and then flown into the U.S. interior. The operation is being aided by Catholic Charities and other non-governmental organizations (NGOs).

From February 19 to April 22, as Breitbart News reported last month, the Biden administration had flown about 7,200 border crossers into the U.S. interior on domestic commercial flights. Border crossers are allowed to bypass photo identification requirements, boarding flights without a photo ID, and do not have to prove they are negative for the Chinese coronavirus.

Report: Most of $335 Million IMF Coronavirus Aid Package to Cameroon Is Missing

The government of Cameroon said on Monday it was investigating how ministers had spent $335 million in coronavirus aid from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) amid accusations from opposition parties that most of the loaned funds “could not be accounted for.”

“A government statement read on Cameroon state media Monday calls on civilians to remain calm as investigations on missing funds continue. The statement from government spokesperson Rene Emmanuel Sadi states that justice will take its course,” Voice of America (VOA) reported May 31.

Cameroon said on Monday that 15 government ministers “have appeared at the audit bench of the Supreme Court and a special criminal tribunal to account for the funds” over the past week.

The lost funds are part of an IMF loan to Cameroon meant to stave off the negative economic impact of the Chinese coronavirus pandemic. Since Cameroon’s coronavirus outbreak began in March 2020, “the IMF has approved two emergency loans to the central African state totaling $382 million,” according to VOA.

“The IMF approved a disbursement under the Rapid Credit Facility (RCF) of US $226 million to support the authorities’ efforts in addressing Cameroon’s urgent balance of payment needs stemming from the COVID-19 [Chinese coronavirus] pandemic and the terms of trade shocks from the sharp fall in oil prices,” the IMF wrote in a press release announcing one of its coronavirus loans to Cameroon last May.

Cameroon’s government “promised the IMF to use the funds transparently, including by issuing semiannual reports on Covid-19 [Chinese coronavirus] spending, commissioning an independent audit, and publishing the names of companies awarded procurement contracts and their beneficial (or real) owners,” Human Rights Watch (HRW) recalled on April 23.

“However, the government has not yet published any detailed information that would enable meaningful public oversight over its spending,” according to HRW. “The authorities also remain silent regarding the government’s use of a Health Solidarity Fund into which all healthcare centers have paid 10 percent of their revenues since 1993. The fund is meant to serve as a reserve for public health emergencies such as the Covid-19 [Chinese coronavirus] pandemic.”

HRW urged the IMF to ensure Cameroon’s government conduct “independent and credible” audits of the funds’ use before approving a third coronavirus loan to the country, which is reportedly in negotiations.

“The sudden desire to account for Covid-19 [Chinese coronavirus] money is a positive sign that the IMF and Cameroonian government are paying greater attention to transparency and accountability as they negotiate a third loan since the start of the pandemic,” Sarah Saadoun, a senior business and human rights researcher at HRW, said on April 23.

“But unless the audits and investigations are independent and credible, the IMF risks falling for check-the-box exercises,” she warned.

Jim Jordan Launches Investigation Into Lack Of Federal Oversight Of Risky Gain-Of-Function Experiments

House Judiciary Committee Ranking Member Jim Jordan and Wisconsin Rep. Mike Gallagher launched a congressional investigation Wednesday into the lack of federal oversight of gain-of-function experiments that set out to make dangerous pathogens more transmissible.

Jordan and Gallagher’s letter, which extensively cited the Daily Caller News Foundation’s previous reporting on the matter, was addressed to Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Senior Science Advisor David “Chris” Hassell, who acknowledged during a January 2020 event that there are flaws with the way his department oversees gain-of-function research.

Hassell is the only known board member of the HHS Potential Pandemic Pathogens Control and Oversight (P3CO) review committee, which was formed in late 2017 after a three-year pause on government funding of gain-of-function research to provide additional federal oversight into such experiments.

But Hassell’s review committee wasn’t even notified of a National Institutes of Health (NIH) grant with the nonprofit group EcoHealth Alliance that involved the modification of bat-based coronaviruses and the transfer of $600,000 to the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) prior to the pandemic.

A NIH spokesperson previously told the DCNF that the National Institutes of Allergies and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), which is led by Dr. Anthony Fauci, declined to flag the EcoHealth grant for P3CO review because the sub-agency determined on its own accord the project did not involve gain-of-function research.

Rutgers University professor of chemical biology Richard H. Ebright told the DCNF that the EcoHealth grant “unequivocally” involved gain-of-function research, and said the NIH’s ability to sidestep P3CO review of such research is a “systemic problem.”
