You should have ordered one with a hole for screwing in onto a handle like a piece of wood. It's a solid block you're going to have a hell of a time removing it from stuff

 

also $100 is too much. I have a 300lb one for about $20

Also the way they do it in the videos with a little magnet is better.

 

The thing is so heavy you're not going to be able to distinguish the weight of the item from the small pull exerted by the metal inside them.

 

The force is limited by the amount of metal.

The one you have is going to be fun but attaching a handle is funner with the big ones I think

also I'm sure you wouldn't do something dumb like sleep next to it, but don't anyway. I'm firmly of the opinion that they can cause cancer by directing the background radiation into small defined patterns such that the background radiation is hitting the same cell(s) over & over in the magnetic field lines
