Appearing Thursday on the Fox News Channel’s America’s Newsroom, Adm. Brett Giroir, former White House coronavirus testing czar, said there is “no data” to support Dr. Anthony Fauci’s claim of the coronavirus evolving from nature.

BILL HEMMER: You believe this was a lab leak. Why?

ADM. BRETT GIROIR: I really became convinced of that with the W.H.O. report in March which showed definitely that there was no environmental source, there was no intermediary host, there was really nothing linking the virus to the natural world. But on the other side, the evidence was becoming compelling. Look, there is a laboratory five miles of the origin that was doing dangerous research on bat coronaviruses. Sometimes, the simplest explanation is that. We do have labs leaks. They’ve happened multiple times. SARS has leaked out of a laboratory, even caused secondary deaths. We know that in 1979, anthrax leaked out of a Soviet laboratory and killed 60 people. Lab leaks are not uncommon and I really think data like people getting ill in November from the laboratory, if that proves true, that coincides with exactly when this virus in China. The evidence is there.

HEMMER: Why didn’t you say this a year ago?

ADM. GIROIR: I did say it a year ago. I was very clear that the only thing we knew was that there were no obvious finger prints of this virus being engineered. I always kept open, and was always public about, that it could have been a lab leak. That was in distinction from Dr. Fauci, who argued very convincingly that this was something that evolved in nature. There was no data that evolved in nature and there’s still no data.

Biden Pentagon Budget Includes $40M on Combating ‘Extremism’ in Military

The Biden administration’s $715 billion Pentagon budget for fiscal year 2022 proposes spending about $30 million, on top of spending $9.1 million this fiscal year, on efforts to combat “extremism” in the military.

The Pentagon’s summary of the budget, released Friday, attributed “recent events” for the spending:

While we believe the vast majority of those who serve in the military and the civilian workforce that supports them do so with honor, dignity and respect, recent events have taught us that we must be ever vigilant in our efforts to identify and combat extremist behavior within our ranks.

The budget proposes $30.8 million to “strengthen [Department of Defense] tools to identify and address extremism, enhance training at all levels of the force, and update existing Department policies to include the development of a punitive regulation on extremist activities.”

It added:

The Department will improve vetting protocols and screening of public available electronic information (aka social media) and develop and deploy an Enterprise Case Management tracking tool for tracking activities of concern.

In addition, DoD will reinforce education and implement an enhanced standardized training on combating extremism in the ranks, strengthen Insider Threat Programs and Direct Awareness Campaign to deter, detect, and mitigate extremist threats, and use continuous evaluation programs for security clearance holders.

In addition to the $30.8 million, the Pentagon plans to spend $9.1 million in fiscal year 2021 for “initial actions” to combat extremism and insider threats.

The $9.1 million would allow for “immediate actions” that include: “enhanced federal capabilities in reporting; tracking extremism activities; and improved DoD accession processes to include screening potential recruits for extremist ties.”

“The Department also established a Steering Committee (SC) to support and coordinate DoD-wide effort to root out extremist behaviors from the ranks,” it said.

The Pentagon does not have a definition of what constitutes “extremism,” or data on how many “extremists” may exist in the military.

Current DoD regulation, known as DOD Instruction 1325.06, only states:

Twitter Suspends Organization for Announcing They Will Release More Fauci Emails

The Big Tech site cited their COVID-19 misinformation policy as a reason for the suspension

The Informed Consent Action Network was suspended by Twitter on Thursday after they announced that they will soon be publishing more emails from Anthony Fauci.

ICAN, an organisation dedicated to increasing informed consent regarding vaccinations, tweeted on Thursday that following the release of thousands of pages from emails from Anthony Fauci that had been revealed through Freedom of Information Act requests from the Washington Post and Buzzfeed, that they would be “dropping 3000 new pages of FOIA’d Fauci emails” that evening, “providing further insight into Anthony Fauci’s actions on Covid, Vaccine Safety, and more.”

However, conservative commentator Michelle Malkin later announced that ICAN had been suspended by Twitter for announcing they would release more emails from Fauci. In a screenshot posted by Malkin to the Big Tech site, ICAN’s Twitter had been locked, due to the tweet allegedly “violating their policy on spreading misleading and potentially harmful information related to COVID-19.”

On their website, Twitter declares that “in order for content related to COVID-19 to be labeled or removed under this policy, it must: advance a claim of fact, expressed in definitive terms; be demonstrably false or misleading, based on widely available, authoritative sources; and be likely to impact public safety or cause serious harm.” Twitter’s further five categories within this policy relating to discussions surrounding the coronavirus outbreak also do not seem to contain any rules which would have resulted in the tweet from ICAN being removed. National File reached out to Twitter for comment on this story, asking which area of their COVID-19 misinformation policy ICAN violated, but did not receive a response by the time of publication.

National File has reported extensively on the contents of Fauci’s emails. One email chain from February of 2020 show that Fauci was not concerned with the new variant of COVID-19, and believed that it would be only as mild as the previous swine flu pandemic from 2009. In another email from the same month, Fauci said that “most transmissions” of virus “occur from someone who is symptomatic” and “not asymptomatic.” However, Fauci publicly touted the idea that asymptomatic spread is “not rare” but in fact common, as the medical experts spread fear about the virus.

Yet another email exchange from Fauci shows him promising to pressure then-President Trump to intimidate Florida Governor Ron DeSantis into closing gyms, bars and beaches. Fauci and another physician raged at citizens exercising their individual liberty, with Fauci saying that he screamed during television interviews “2 to 5 times per night” when he saw young people having fun.
