Alberta Health Services pressures landowner to terminate lease of beloved local restaurant

Rocco Bartolotti, owner of Scarpetta Italian Eatery, has been a member of the community of Inglewood, the neighbourhood in which his restaurant was located, for over eight years.

He made many friends in the area, created good jobs and was generally beloved by patrons, neighbours and even his landlord. The restaurant was doing well, until COVID restrictions began to take an immense toll on his business.

Rocco was not alone in his questioning of government protocols. Scarpetta Italian Eatery was directly across the street from Dustin Sutley’s Sweat Science Boxing, and Dustin too wanted answers and evidence to justify the business closures and restrictions.

No such justification was ever provided to Rocco or Dustin.

To be clear, Rocco is no scofflaw. He was following Alberta Health Services (AHS) restrictions. He shared that several visits from AHS confirmed that no violations were occurring. What is most troubling is that AHS never contacted Rocco to indicate that he was allegedly not complying with restrictions.

Instead, Rocco alleges that AHS shared false reports of measures being ignored with the Calgary Herald, and he was not made aware of any reported issues until someone shared a Calgary Herald article with him. He immediately contacted AHS after being shown the article, and they once again visited the location only to confirm that Scarpetta Italian Eatery was indeed in compliance with health restrictions.

There has been a clear lack of communication and clarity from AHS. One inspector would confirm that certain actions were permissible, but a few days later another inspector would state the opposite, says Rocco.

Most tragic of all, after eight years in business, Rocco says AHS pressured the landowner to terminate Scarpetta Italian Eatery’s lease agreement, effectively closing the restaurant for good, and gave Rocco and his team only two days to clear out their belongings.

A family business is ruined, and because of what appears to be a smear campaign a beloved member of the community of Inglewood has been cast out as an untouchable.

Regardless of bureaucratic blunders and/or outright maliciousness, the mere fact that Rocco maintained open communications with AHS and sought to comply with the rules as much as possible prompts some serious questions.

Firstly, as Rocco asserts, why did AHS release details to a newspaper instead of speaking to him? Is the government now in the business of smearing people as an enforcement measure?

And secondly, and most shockingly, why did Alberta Health Services contact a private land owner and encourage eviction, whether implicitly or directly, of a tenant who had been in good standing for nearly a decade.

First Nations Chief Rosanne Casimir told reporters on Friday that the remains claimed to have been discovered at a former residential school near Kamloops, British Columbia were “not a mass grave” according to preliminary findings.

Casimir, who is the Chief of the Tkemlúps te Secwépemc First Nations government, made the comments during what was described as a “trauma-informed press conference” where the media were asked to focus on the grieving of Indigenous peoples across Canada.

“This is not a mass grave. These are preliminary findings. We will be sharing the written report in the middle of the month,” said Casimir.

Early reports by mainstream media outlets like the Toronto Star referred to the burial sites as “mass graves” despite the discovery still undergoing a preliminary investigation.

Other outlets including BBC News, the New York Times and Washington Post also repeated the unverified claim that it was a “mass grave.”

Additionally, Casimir said she supports keeping the residential school buildings standing as a way to learn from the ugly truths contained in Canadian history. Casimir’s comments come at a time when many activists are calling for historical sites and statues to be renamed or removed over historically racist ties.

“We know that some residential schools are torn down, we want ours to remain to stand, it is a huge piece of history that we do not want to be forgotten but that can be learned from — the history of the ugly truths…for all the future generations,” she said.

Since the discovery of the site near the Kamloops Indian Residential School was announced, there has been a public outcry demanding an investigation into the matter.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau addressed the findings on Friday and urged the Catholic Church – which was involved in operating the Kamloops school until 1969 – to disclose records and formally apologize for its involvement.

The Conservatives tabled a motion in the House of Commons on Friday which they hope will require Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to quarantine in a federally designated hotel after returning from the upcoming G7 meeting in the United Kingdom.

The motion which was announced by Conservative MP and Health Critic Michelle Rempel Garner calls on Trudeau and his delegation to not use taxpayer funds to accommodate themselves upon returning to Ottawa.

“That, in the opinion of the House, upon return from the G7 meetings in the United Kingdom, the Prime Minister and his delegation should quarantine at one of the designated hotel quarantine sites that every other Canadian has been subjected to and not require taxpayers to fund a special quarantine hotel in Ottawa, or listen to the government’s own COVID-19 Testing and Screening Expert Advisory Panel and immediately scrap the mandatory hotel quarantine program,” the motion reads.

According to recent reports, the Liberal government confirmed that a hotel was currently being specially prepared for Trudeau and his staff so that they can quarantine upon arriving in Canada.

In a press conference following the tabling of the motion, Rempel pointed out the hypocrisy of forcing Canadians to pay for and use the federal quarantine hotels while the prime minister gets his own private accommodations.

“Today we learned that the Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau intends to travel internationally and then avoid the quarantine hotel program that every other Canadian has been subjected to,” said Rempel.

“This is a slap in the face for every Canadian who has struggled with this program over the last several months. This program is unsafe – it should have been scrapped a long time ago.”

During the early stages of the program, reports of sexual assault in the federal quarantine hotels were revealed.

In response to questions about why such incidents were allowed to take place, Liberal Health Minister Patty Hajdu stated that the hotels were put into place in order to “protect Canadians.”

The news comes as the charity’s chief, British-born scientist Dr. Peter Daszak, was exposed in an alleged conflict of interest and back-room campaign to discredit lab leak theories.

The charity, EcoHealth Alliance (EHA), has come under intense scrutiny after it emerged that it had been using federal grants to fund research into coronaviruses at the Wuhan Institute of Virology in China.

The U.S. nonprofit, set up to research new diseases, has also partly funded deeply controversial ‘gain of function’ experiments, where dangerous viruses are made more infectious to study their effect on human cells.

A political storm broke when former President Donald Trump canceled a $3.7 million grant to the charity last year amid claims that Covid-19 was created in, or leaked from, the Wuhan lab funded by EHA.

But federal grant data assembled by independent researchers shows that the charity has received more than $123 million from the government – from 2017 to 2020 – and that one of its biggest funders is the Department of Defense, funneling almost $39 million to the organization since 2013.

The G7 group of advanced economies reached a landmark deal Saturday to end the race to the bottom on taxes.

Finance ministers - from US, UK, France, Germany, Canada, Italy, and Japan - met in London Saturday and agreed to a minimum global corporation tax rate of at least 15%, and also had put in mechanisms within the deal to ensure multinational companies operating in other countries were paying their fair share of taxes.

Around 0800 ET, the US Treasury Department said G7 finance ministers and US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen released a statement on agreements around building more robust, sustainable, balanced, and inclusive global economic recovery. The statement outlines agreements on global economic recovery, transformative efforts to tackle climate change and biodiversity loss, continued support to low-income and vulnerable countries, and shaping a successful recovery for all.

Yellen also took to Twitter, who said, "G7 Finance Ministers have made a significant, unprecedented commitment today that provides tremendous momentum towards achieving a robust global minimum tax at a rate of at least 15%."

She said the "global minimum tax would end the race-to-the-bottom in corporate taxation, and ensure fairness for the middle class and working people in the U.S. and around the world." Adding that, "global minimum tax would also help the global economy thrive, by leveling the playing field for businesses and encouraging countries to compete on positive bases, such as educating and training our work forces and investing in research and development and infrastructure."

The global minimum tax could seriously limit the ability of corporations (particularly American tech giants) to save money by moving to low-tax jurisdictions. It follows President Biden's plans for the most significant tax hikes in decades to finance his two-part, multi-trillion infrastructure packages rolled out in accordance with Biden's "Build Back Better" slogan, as well as a series of tax-related judgments in European courts.

Creating a minimum tax on U.S. corporations' global earnings is a crucial piece of the president's planned tax hikes to fund his infrastructure plan, as is a provision to push an international minimum corporate tax.

Lumber Prices Slump As Historic Boom Hits A Wall

Lumber futures on Chicago Mercantile Exchange fell -3.1% to $1,284.20 per 1,000 board feet, extending last week's first loss since January. For the last 18 trading sessions, lumber prices have come under pressure amid signs that an unprecedented rally may be waning.

Citing data from trade publication Random Lengths, CIBC analyst Hamir Patel told Bloomberg that Western spruce-pine-fir prices decreased $130, or -8.1%, compared to last week's $1,470 per 1,000 board feet, and Southern yellow pine 2x4 lumber dropped $92, or -6.9%, to $1,236 per 1,000 board feet.

The decline comes alongside a drop in lumber futures, which have tumbled into a bear market, -25%, in recent weeks, from an all-time high reached earlier in May of around $1,711 per 1,000 board feet.

This suggests that sawmills could be catching up amid the flurry of demand from North American homebuilders, along with supply chain issues, which created massive supply constraints, which propelled lumber prices to record highs.

"Record softwood lumber prices amid an acute supply shortage appear unsustainable and may correct sharply from a level that's quadruple the 10-year average," Bloomberg analyst Joshua Zaret wrote this week.

But with lumber prices adding tens of thousands of dollars to new residential builds, some builders have paused or halted new construction.

Rep. Bob Gibbs, R-Ohio, who serves on the House Oversight Committee's environment subcommittee, told FOX Business that increasing lumber prices are "just one of the many indicators that President Biden is failing American workers."

"Lumber prices are an issue that has many causes, from economic complications from the coronavirus pandemic to difficult trade issues with Canada. Biden has shown he is either unwilling or incapable of tackling these obstacles," Gibbs told FOX Business.

Last week, Patel told Bloomberg that even though home renovations are easing, lumber prices could maintain around the $1,000 handle through 2021.

Despite the latest pullback, prices are likely to remain elevated until the Federal Reserve begins or at least signals that it will start to taper its $40 billion per month in mortgage-backed securities purchases.

Cows produce significant amounts of methane as part of their digestive processes. Cow belching, a source of methane, a potent greenhouse gas, could be solved by a new methane-absorbing wearable device.

According to Bloomberg, agriculture behemoth Cargill Inc. tapped UK-based startup Zelp Ltd., which is dedicated to significantly reducing the environmental impact of the livestock industry through smart cow masks that filter methane burps.

Cargill said Tuesday the devices would be used for its European dairy farmers in 2022. The price of each mask has yet to be publicly discussed, but Zelp said each cow would cost $80 per year as part of an annual subscription fee.

Detailed on Zelp's website under the technology tab, the smart cow mask neutralizes methane, records valuable statical data, and is integrated with mobile communication gear. Besides neutralizing methane, the mask also gathers many data points about the cow, including geo-location, early disease functions, heat detection, emission quantity, and oxidized volume of methane.

Cargill's vast customer network could make smart masks for the livestock industry standard in the years ahead as the elites of the world attempt to transition the global economy to a much greener future (or at least that is what it appears).

"Cargill has an impressive reach across dairy farms in Europe," said Zelp Chief Executive Officer Francisco Norris. "They are uniquely positioned to distribute our technology to a large number of clients, both farmers and dairy companies, maximizing the roll-out from the very first year we hit the market."

Bloomberg describes the smart mask almost like a "catalytic converter" on a car, filtering out the burps.

A set of fans powered by solar-charged batteries sucks up the burps and traps them in a chamber with a methane-absorbing filter. Once the filter is saturated, a chemical reaction turns the methane into CO₂, which is then released. - Bloomberg

Some 95% of methane released by cows comes out as burps and through the nose.

Enteric fermentation is the digestive process that results in cow belching.

Global emissions from livestock account for about 14.5% of total greenhouse gas emissions. Cargill has joined the global push to cut carbon emissions across its supply chain by 30% by 2030. As we've previously discussed, many of these targets are "pie in the sky" figures.

Though there's a big push by corporations and governments to cut carbon emissions in the years ahead, elites and politicians have no visible interest in curbing emissions of their fuel-guzzling private jets, superyachts, and supercars.

If we're not careful, one day, we'll all be wearing masks that monitor our methane output and will be taxed on that.

Alas, it’s become a go-to place for retrieving, as it were, previously published information on herd immunity that became inconvenient post-vaccine and then virtually Memory-Holed.

Over the past 15 months, the litany of Experts’ True Facts and Science regarding various aspects of SARS-CoV-2 has changed more often than the starting lineup of a bad minor league ball club. Covid-19 is spread by droplets, especially from asymptomatic people, until one day it was airborne all along and people who weren’t sick in all likelihood weren’t even sick. Stay at home, you’re safer indoors, even stay away from parks and beaches; well, actually, outdoors is the place to be. Masks don’t work against viruses and are actually unhealthy to wear if you’re not sick, then suddenly they did work and without one you might as well be shooting people. Everyone knows and PolitiFact verified that the virus couldn’t have been created in the prominent infectious disease lab doing gain-of-function research on coronaviruses in bats coincidentally at Covid Ground Zero until, one day, PolitiFact had to retract the entire “Pants on Fire!” article. And so forth.

Unfortunately, information about herd immunity has also not been immune to this kind of meddling. Until recent months, people readily understood that active immunity came about either by natural immunity or vaccine-induced immunity. Natural immunity comes from battling and defeating an actual infection, then having your immune system primed for the rest of your life to fight it off if it ever shows up again. This immunity is achieved at a sometimes very high personal price.

Vaccine-induced immunity is to prime your immune system with a weaker, non-threatening form of the invading infection, so that it’s ready to fight off the real thing should you ever encounter it, and without your having first to risk severe illness or death.

Those interested in herd immunity in itself likely don’t have a moral or political preference for one form of immunity to the exclusion of the other. Immunity is immunity, regardless of whether a particular person has it naturally or by a vaccine. All immunity contributes to herd immunity.

Others, however, are much less circumspect. They seem to have forgotten the ultimate goal of the public campaign for people to receive vaccination against Covid-19. It’s not to be vaccinated; it’s to have immunity. People with natural immunity — i.e., people whose immune systems have faced Covid-19 and won — don’t need a vaccine.

They do, however, need to be considered in any good-faith discussion of herd immunity. There are two prongs to herd immunity, as we used to all know, and those with natural immunity are the prong that’s being ignored. It’s not just mere oversight, however. Fostering such ignorance can lead to several bad outcomes:

People with natural immunity could be kept from employment, education, travel, normal commerce, and who knows what other things if they don’t submit to a vaccine they don’t need in order to fulfill a head count that confuses a means with the end

The nation could already be at herd immunity while governors and health bureaucrats continue to exert extreme emergency powers, harming people’s liberties and livelihoods

People already terrified of Covid — including especially those who’ve already had it — would continue to live in fear, avoiding human interaction and worrying beyond all reason

People could come to distrust even sound advice from experts about important matters, as they witness and grow to expect how what “the experts” counsel diverges from what they know to be wise counsel while it conforms to and amplifies the temporary needs of the political class Continue…

Latest VAERS Data Show: 5,165 Deaths Reported Following COVID Vaccines

This week’s number of reported deaths among all age groups following COVID vaccines passed the 5,000 mark, up 759 from last week, according to data released today by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The data comes directly from reports submitted to the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS).

VAERS is the primary government-funded system for reporting adverse vaccine reactions in the U.S. Reports submitted to VAERS require further investigation before a causal relationship can be confirmed.

Every Friday, VAERS makes public all vaccine injury reports received as of a specified date, usually about a week prior to the release date. Today’s data show that between Dec. 14, 2020 and May 28, a total of 294,801 total adverse events were reported to VAERS, including 5,165 deaths — an increase of 759 over the previous week. There were 25,359 serious injuries reported, up 3,822 compared with last week.

Among 12- to 17-year-olds, there were 40 reports of heart inflammation and 16 cases of blood clotting disorders.

In the U.S., 292.1 million COVID vaccine doses had been administered as of May 28. This includes 123 million doses of Moderna’s vaccine, 158 million doses of Pfizer and 11 million doses of the Johnson & Johnson (J&J) COVID vaccine.

Of the 5,165 deaths reported as of May 28, 24% occurred within 48 hours of vaccination, 16% occurred within 24 hours and 38% occurred in people who became ill within 48 hours of being vaccinated.

More recently, Malthus, Darwin, Galton, and others, introduced us to the "scientific" eugenics; and even more recently, Rockefeller, Turner, Gates push a culling of "the heard" - yes, you and me, and our children, and certainly not them!

For achieving the culling of the herd purpose, as Gates, in his TEDTALK said, one of the means is through "VACCINES" (and the "sheeple" in the audience clapped)!

Yes, the poisons they call vaccines are not vaccines but a genetic intervention tool; in fact the purpose is to make anyone who got the jab produce a GMO poison - the spike protein (just as the GMO goats produce spider proteins in their milk).

"We made a big mistake. We didn't realize it until now," said Bryan Bridle, a viral immunologist and associate professor at University of Guelph, Ontario. He warned listeners that his message was "scary."

So, what does he means by "we did not realize"?!

Research shows that the spike protein from COVID-19 "vaccines" enters the bloodstream and kills the blood vessels' endothelial cells, which explains the thousands of reported side-effects from blood clots and heart disease to brain damage and reproductive issues.

Surely, they knew, since they already observed this happening in animals injected with the jab years before they start to inject this poison to the people. All these animals - mice, rats, rabbits, ferrets, minks… all died once injected with the jab they inject now to the people; old, young, and children; It is criminal!

Now, because the cat is out of the bag, and we see the unspeakable damage the vaccine has done, and continues to do, the disclaiming discourse is "we did not know"!

"Vaccine researchers had assumed that novel mRNA COVID vaccines would behave like "traditional" vaccines and the vaccine spike protein responsible for infection and its most severe symptoms would remain mostly in the vaccination site at the shoulder muscle, they say now.

Nevertheless, the Japanese data showed already that the spike protein of the coronavirus gets into the blood where it circulates for several days post-vaccination and then accumulates in organs and tissues including spleen, bone marrow, liver, adrenal glands, and in high concentrations in the ovaries and testes.

They knew this, and they know this now, and they still continue to inject this poison to millions of people - old, young, and children. How more criminal than this?!

OTTAWA, Ontario, June 4, 2021 (LifeSiteNews) – Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau described in a euphoric-like manner getting the COVID-19 jab and emphasized that “everyone” needs to get the shot so life can return to normal.

"You know, it's amazing, because we were talking about how important it was for everyone to get vaccinated and what a big deal it was to get vaccinated, so I thought that was all built in already. But getting that shot really was an amazing feeling. It, it hits you,” Trudeau told ET Canada host Sangita Patel on Tuesday.

Since Canada approved for use the first COVID-19 jab in December 2020, the Trudeau government has been heavily promoting the jab via national ads as well as constant reminders from top cabinet ministers.

Health Canada has authorized four COVID-19 injections for adults, and one for kids ages 12 to 16. All of them have connections to abortion. The jabs have also have been associated with severe side effects such as blood clots, rashes, miscarriages, and heart attacks in young, healthy men.

In Canada, vaccines are not mandatory at the federal level. Some provinces — such as Ontario and New Brunswick — have made certain vaccines mandatory via legislation, with a few exceptions, for children to attend public schools.

In his interview with Patel, Trudeau said that for him, getting the shot wasn’t so much because he was at “high risk” because of his “young” age, (although it should be noted he is 49) but that it was him knowing that “each of us” are doing “our part.”

Trudeau also said all Canadians should get the COVID-19 jab, adding that one’s “crusty old uncle” or friend who resists the injection should be “convinced” to get one.

"It's knowing that each of us doing our part is getting through this, because we don't get through this unless the vast majority of the population gets that first shot, and then a few months later, gets that second shot,” said Trudeau.

“That's how we get through it, and it's something that everyone can do … the way to (get back to normal) is to make sure that everyone, even that crusty old uncle who resists, or that friend who's skeptical, encourage them, convince them."

Keean Bexte, former Rebel News reporter who now runs The Counter Signal, joked that Trudeau’s note of the “crusty old uncle” was in fact a description of the prime minister himself, due to him needing a cane at the moment because of a recent frisbee injury.

“Trudeau called Canadians who are hesitant or refuse the vaccine ‘crusty old uncles.’ Who was the creepy old man walking around Ottawa with a cane just yesterday?” tweeted Bexte.

Roberto Wakerell-Cruz, editor for the Post Millennial, called out Trudeau for shaming Canadians into getting the Wuhan coronavirus vaccine.

“Trudeau describes the euphoria of getting a COVID vaccine, tells Canadians to shame their ‘crusty uncle who resists’ into getting their shots. What a lunatic,” tweeted Wakerell-Cruz.

Trudeau mentioned to Patel that the pandemic was much more “real” for him after he found out his wife tested positive for the virus in March 2020.

His interview with Patel also included him praising how working from home during the pandemic was “nice” in that he was “home all the time.”

When it comes to COVID-19 jabs and the idea of so-called “vaccine passports,” Trudeau said in late April his government was working on “certificates of vaccination” for travel with its allies, saying they are to be “expected.”

In late February, Trudeau said there were “pros and cons” to COVID-19 “immunity passports.”

Recently, Trudeau’s office claimed that a “broad consensus” has been reached among the nation’s premiers working to create “a proof of vaccine credential” system for travel.

Opposition Pushes Trudeau to Demand Relocating Olympics From China at G-7

Canada’s conservative opposition party wants Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to stand up to China at the upcoming G-7 summit in the United Kingdom, including the removal of the 2022 Winter Olympics from Beijing, The Epoch Times reported Friday.

In a letter to Trudeau, Conservative Party leader Erin O’Toole called on Trudeau to take several steps to what they see as a threat from China.

“As the Prime Minister, I also implore you to also use your voice on the world stage to call for the relocation of the 2022 Winter Olympics out of Beijing,” the letter said. “Canada should not be sending its athletes to compete there while a genocide is being committed against Uyghurs, and two Canadian citizens Michael Kovrig and Michael Spavor, remained detained.”

O’Toole also criticized the Trudeau government for its reliance on China during the pandemic, which the letter said caused a lack of vaccines in the early part of the year and allowed the country to “fall behind” other G-7 nations in its recovery.

According to an NPR report in April, Canada had fully vaccinated only about 2% of its population of more than 38 million residents.

Andre Picard, a columnist for The Globe and Mail, told NPR that the reason for the lag was that Canada does not manufacture much medication in the country.

“We don't have any domestic production. And then we have a very decentralized health system, which means that the different rules in different parts of the country are very confusing for the public,” Picard told NPR. “So, a whole series of factors have made this kind of a mess.”

O’Toole’s letter also takes Trudeau’s government to task for possible national security breaches dealing with the firing of two scientists at Winnipeg’s National Microbiology Laboratory for possibly collaborating with the Chinese military.

According to a story in Friday’s Globe and Mail, the location of the two scientists is a mystery.

The news outlet reported that the couple, Xiangguo Qiu, who was the head of a “key” program at the lab, and her husband, Keding Cheng, no longer live in Winnipeg, and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police would not tell the Globe and Mail if they knew the couple’s location.

“As this is an ongoing investigation, we will not be providing any additional information,” Cpl. Julie Courchaine from the RCMP’s Manitoba division said in an e-mail to the Globe.

According to the news outlet, the couple were removed from the lab in July 2019 and fired from their positions in January for “policy breach” and an “administrative matter,” according to the Public Health Agency of Canada.

The Canadian Security Intelligence Service reportedly asked to remove their security clearances due to concerns regarding work they were doing with the Wuhan lab in China, which could possibly be the source of the COVID-19 virus.

According to The Global and Mail, the pair and “an unknown number” of Qiu’s students from China were escorted out of the Winnipeg lab on July 5, 2019.

There is no denying the traumatic impact that COVID restrictions and policies have had on society. Family businesses passed down through generations have disappeared.

Thousands have been laid-off. Depression and addiction continue to rise.

Generations to come will be paying the tab for economically crippling policies…but sometimes a story comes along that staggers even the most jaded of COVID restrictions cynics.

A brave whistle-blower, Katie DeWitt, has reached out to Rebel News to share with us the horrifying realities taking place at The Mustard Seed in Calgary, Alberta. For those unfamiliar with the organization, The Mustard Seed is one of Calgary's largest homeless shelters. Some of The details Katie shared were almost too troubling to believe, but we were able to confirm a great deal of the allegations she shared with us in written materials from The Mustard Seeds' own documents.

Among the most concerning policies is a COVID protocol that prevents staff from performing CPR on facility residents in order to reduce the risk of spread.

I can think of few things more heartless than a policy that sets as a priority the elimination of a small risk of infection by a virus with a low fatality rate over direct intervention to save a life of a person in immediate medical distress.

Katie shared a number of dehumanizing policies implemented by the facility since the onset of COVID, all of which seem contrary to the mission of helping the homeless community. The needs of our most vulnerable brothers and sisters do not simply evaporate because some bureaucrat changes a policy.

Homelessness does not adhere to the stages of reopening or any other inane governmental rubric.

The situation at The Mustard Seed is a tragic caricature of the broader institutional and governmental response to COVID. Policies designed to slow the spread of disease are themselves yielding fatal consequences.

We reached out to The Mustard Seed for comment, but we have not yet received a response.

Desperately seeking Arthur…

Just before the Ontario legislature wrapped for summer recess, Premier Doug Ford ended a press conference with an anecdote that was somewhat charming… and, in truth, equal parts surreal and bizarre. It was about an 11-year-old boy named Arthur.

Apparently, little Arthur hand-delivered a letter to the premier’s swank residence in Etobicoke — the high-end section of Etobicoke, of course.

This is the first part of this tale that made the needle on my BS detector plunge deep into the red zone.

After all, are people really dropping off letters at Premier Ford’s home all the time? We’re pretty sure there’s a police cruiser there 24/7. Wouldn’t allowing people to put letters in the Ford mailbox be a security breach? People can put really nasty, harmful things in envelopes, after all.

Nevertheless, Ford was smitten by the letter (Arthur wants to go to camp or something), so the premier hopped in his pickup truck and made a beeline to Arthur’s home.

By the way, when this story allegedly occurred, there was still a stay-at-home order in the province of Ontario. So, yet again, it’s one rule for me, one rule for thee, apparently…

When Ford got to the house and knocked on the front door, a little boy answered. This was not Arthur, but rather, Arthur’s brother, Marcus.

Marcus invited Ford in and led the premier through the house to the backyard where the family was dining.

Note to Marcus: next time an unknown individual comes calling, DO NOT open the door to him and DO NOT let him enter the house. Stranger danger! Stranger danger!

In any event, Ford eventually got his meeting with little Arthur. Ontarians are no doubt rejoicing that Premier Ford is now deferring to 11-year-olds for COVID-19 advice…

But, just one hitch, though: does little Arthur actually… exist?

I mean, to me, this anecdote is so reminiscent of that crazy Jean Chretien story from the 90s.

Remember when then-prime minister Chretien claimed he was frequently having conversations with a homeless man in an Ottawa park?

The Ottawa press went looking for that man. And it turns out that this individual was an imaginary friend of the prime minister.

Why? Hey, why not? It made Chretien seem downright folksy, conversing with, you know, the “little people”… until this story was exposed as fiction, of course.

Now, in fairness, we cannot accuse Premier Ford of being a liar without evidence. But folks, does the little Arthur story pass YOUR sniff test?

Then again, just MAYBE little Arthur actually exists…

Then again, just MAYBE Premier Doug Ford is telling the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth…

Or, then again, to quote Bruce Campbell in Army of Darkness: “Yeah, and just maybe I’m a Chinese jet pilot…”

Update: Law enforcement escalate tactics to locate Pastor in hiding

If you saw our latest coverage of Pastor Tobias Tissen then you know he has been in hiding from local authorities. As this continues, it seems law enforcement has decided to escalate their tactics with regards to finding him.

This week the RCMP and an unmarked vehicle (law enforcement? Low-life health bureaucrats?) attempted to raid his house under the assumption that he would be inside.

For hours, there was an unmarked vehicle watching his house from a distance. Then the RCMP showed up and knocked on the door. At that point they decided to take it up a notch, peering in through every window on the grounds, and even texting him to look outside his window.

This was all in hopes they could justify their presence at the property. Luckily Pastor Tobias was not there, and thankfully one of his neighbours was able to record this event as it was happening.

Unfortunately, some local authorities have teamed up with the low-life health bureaucrats in the area. Recently an officer pulled over the secretary to the church's car. This happened for a “registration check” of the vehicle, yet the cops had simultaneously called the desperate “health officials” so they could issue the secretary a $5,000 ticket in relation to the church hosting their own school graduation.

As well as being pulled over by law enforcement, some friends of the pastor were driving along the highway when they were flagged down by people who appeared to be having car troubles or directional issues. When they stopped to see how they could help, the individuals came up to the car and asked for directions, one on either side of the vehicle, peering into the whole car in a way that appeared to Tobias' friends as the strangers were looking to see if Tobias was in the vehicle, too.

The desperation of these bureaucrats is at all time heights, using officers of the law to allow these nobodies to issue roadside tickets is an extremely large waste of taxpayer dollars.

Those who are supposed to serve and protect us against rapists, murders, and worse, are now being used as pawns by the local nobodies who Premier Brian Pallister has tried giving unconstitutional authority. To exemplify how wasteful this is, let me remind you that Pastor Tobias may be on the run, but he certainly is not hiding from authorities.

He has told them multiple times exactly where he is and when he will be there, yet for some reason, authorities want this all under the radar.

It seems by any means necessary, they will try and have this arrest made without anyone being able to observe.

If they do actually want to arrest him, they know it will have to be at the pastor's Church of God during church services. In the words of Pastor Tobias himself, “They'll have to learn, if you want to get a pastor, you have to get him at the church”.

The RCMP are refusing to say whether they know the whereabouts of two scientists who collaborated with China while working at one of Canada’s top secret microbiology laboratories.

According to the Globe and Mail, the couple Dr. Ciangguo Qiu and Dr. Keding Cheng no longer live in Winnipeg where the laboratory is located and it is not clear whether the two are even in Canada anymore.

“As this is an ongoing investigation, we will not be providing any additional information,” RCMP Manitoba division Corporal Julie Courchaine told the Globe and Mail.

Both scientists were booted from working at the lab in 2021 over what the Public Health Agency of Canada has called a “policy breach” and “possible breaches of security protocols.”

In the House of Commons, the Conservatives have pushed the federal government to disclose records on what exactly led to Qiu’s and Cheng’s departure.

A recent report has revealed that Qiu and Cheng were among seven scientists who collaborated with a research institution that has ties with communist China’s People’s Liberation Army.

All seven of the scientists involved were known to be working with deadly pathogens at the National Microbiology Laboratory in Winnipeg.

Last month, when confronted about his government’s approach to protecting Canadian research institutions from Chinese interference, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau chose to lash out by lecturing the Conservatives on anti-Asian racism.

“I would recommend to members of the Conservative Party in their zeal to make personal attacks, not start to push too far into intolerance towards Canadians of diverse origins. We will continue to stand up to defend Canadians interests, Canadians security, we will continue to make sure that we are doing everything we can to keep Canadians safe while participating in the global research community and stand up for tolerance and diversity,” said Trudeau.
