Across the province, there are mask mandates; prohibitions on indoor gatherings; a limit on 10 people gathering outdoors; a ban on selling alcohol after 10:00 p.m. — the list goes on.

But, as is the case all across the majority of the western world, the COVID statistics don’t support this lockdown.

Some of you may know that we are launching a Charter challenge to the lockdown in Saskatchewan.

No government can make a law that does not respect the Charter of Rights and Freedoms. We filed our Charter challenge in the Court of Queen’s Bench in Saskatchewan, after these unconstitutional lockdown restrictions cancelled an event we wanted to host with Dr. Patrick Moore at the Conexus Arts Centre in Regina.

It makes no sense to continue to cancel that event, or any event in Saskatchewan, and it makes no sense to drastically limit the civil liberties of Saskatchewan residents.

Government defends quarantine hotels as Trudeau plans to trip to Europe

The federal government is warning that international travel is a danger to Canada, even as Prime Minister Justin Trudeau plans to travel to Europe later this month.

On Thursday, lawyers representing the federal government went to court to defend mandatory quarantine hotels for travellers returning to Canada.

Lawyers for the attorney general argued that international travel poses a serious risk of spreading COVID-19, justifying quarantine hotels.

The Trudeau government is fighting against a challenge from the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms who argue that forcibly detaining travellers violates the Charter.

In their defence, lawyers admitted that regardless of whether someone tests positive or negative they are still allowed to go home, raising questions of the effectiveness of the policy.

Last week, COVID-19 Testing and Screening Expert Advisory Panel recommended ending the quarantine hotel program, saying that travelers with good quarantine plans should go where they wish.

Since implementing the policy, the Trudeau government has maintained that quarantine hotels are the best option to deal with international travelers. After the panel’s report, Health Minister Patty Hajdu continued to insist that the hotel quarantine program is working.

These statements come as Trudeau says he will attend the G7 summit and the NATO summit in-person in the United Kingdom from June 11-13 followed by a Canada-European Union summit in Belgium on June 14.

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said on May 28 that Trudeau would be attending in-person, but Trudeau’s office did not confirm it until Wednesday.

In a statement, Trudeau said the summits were necessary as global leaders need to meet to discuss pressing world issues.

“Now more than ever, world leaders need to come together to tackle the challenges of today and tomorrow,” he said.

“Canada will continue to work with our global partners to keep our people healthy, create jobs and opportunity, grow the middle class, fight climate change, and strengthen democratic values.”

Exponentiality Leads To Finality

As technological developments and markets go parabolic, we observe many market “experts”, even intelligent ones, forecasting that we are now in an exponential economic era. Thus many believe that this will go on forever. This is the typical attitude at market and economic tops and guarantees that THIS WILL NOT END WELL!

It is clearly absolute nonsense to believe that exponential expansion based on deficits, debts and fake money is the beginning of a new era. Anyone studying the economy and history of markets knows that exponential moves indicate the end of an era and not the beginning. As I have repeatedly said, history is our best teacher and it both rhymes and repeats itself. And history now gives us dire warnings.

ARE WE IN A PARADIGM SHIFT?

But for some reason, human beings always extrapolate current trends whether it is population growth or stock market rallies. We know from statements at historical tops like 1929, 1987 or 2000 that anyone, from politicians to investors at the time, believe that the trend will go on for ever and that the world has made a paradigm shift.

Many markets and investments are now going up exponentially and very few forecast an end to this euphoric state.

GLOBAL POPULATION TO HALVE?

Let’s start with global population. For thousands of years we saw a very slow and steady growth as the graph below shows. In the mid 1850s world population reached 1 billion.

Since the mid 1800s, we have seen exponential growth in population and we are now almost 8 billion people on earth.

Energy and oil in particular plays a major role in this growth, leading to increases in food production, industrialisation, better health care for people etc.

THE EXPONENTIAL LAW OF COMPOUNDING

Moore’s law, first linked to transistors, is a projection of historical trends. The fallacy with these projections is that they assume the same trend will go on for ever whether it relates to population or stock markets.

The old fable of the inventor of the chess board tells us how little understood exponential moves are. The king promised the inventor a reward for inventing the game of chess. The inventor asked for one single grain of rice on the first square of the chessboard, two on the second, four on the third and so on. The king thought that this request was easy and inexpensive to fulfil. Little did the king understand the exponential law of compounding. Because once the 64th square was reached, 18 quintillion grains were needed. This amount exceeded the total production of the kingdom. So instead of getting his reward the inventor was killed for fooling his king.

The longer a trend has gone on for, the more permanent it seems to be. The explosion of population growth does not seem reversible. But the Black Death period in the mid 1300s showed us how population can quickly halve. This was the case in Europe and probably also in the rest of the world.

So exponential moves always end and so will this one. The reasons for the coming “correction” are likely to be a combination of the causes in the graph above.

EXPONENTIAL MOVES WORK IN REVERSE

Just as exponential moves up are spectacular, so are the reversals. And although few people understand it, exponential moves always reverse, at least temporarily. The problem is that the reversal is always faster, more violent and more hair raising than the advance.

A correction of global population from 8 to 4 billion would be totally natural from a statistical point of view. It would obviously be devastating for the world. But if the advance from 1 billion population took 170 years, the “correction” might take at least half of that, say 85 years. Only future historians will tell the world what actually happened.

As the chart below indicates, economic growth is totally linked to the availability of oil.

The chart shows that World GDP per capita (from 1968) grows in line with consumption and therefore also to the availability of oil. As oil production is likely to decrease over the long term so will economic growth. This is totally in line with the view I have expressed in many articles and interviews, namely that we are at the end of a major economic cycle of at least 300 years and maybe longer.

Renewable energy is unlikely to replace fossil fuels for a very, very long time even if this is a politically uncomfortable view for the climate control activists. What very few realise is that most renewable energy sources are very costly and also all dependent on fossil fuels whether it is electric cars, wind turbines or solar panels.

The “medicines” themselves are often devoid of intrinsic value, being nothing more than rebranded and re-purposed chemicals, intended (though all too often failing) to be administered in sub-lethal concentrations. June 4, 2021 (Children’s Health Defense) — The Supreme Court on Tuesday rejected an appeal by Johnson & Johnson (J&J) to reverse a $2.1 billion verdict for plaintiffs who claim the company’s talc powder products gave them ovarian cancer.

The pharmaceutical company, which developed the Janssen COVID vaccine, asked the top court to review the verdict, arguing it didn’t receive a fair trial in Missouri where the court awarded a $4.7 billion payout to 22 women who developed ovarian cancer.

The verdict was reduced to $2.1 billion in June 2020, by a Missouri court of appeals.

J&J stopped selling talc powder products in the U.S. and Canada last year. But the company still faces more than 21,800 lawsuits alleging asbestos in its talc powder products, including baby powder, caused ovarian cancer.

Ken Starr, a prosecutor representing women who sued J&J, wrote in court briefings that the pharma company “knew for decades that their talc powders contained asbestos, a highly carcinogenic substance with no known safe exposure level.”

BREAKING: Rodeo royalty Ty, Gail Northcott head to court today for Contempt order

Rodeo legend Ty Northcott and his wife Gail Northcott will be in court this morning in response to a Contempt of Court Application filed by Alberta Health Services.

The Northcotts held an anti-lockdown rodeo rally last month, and have sworn an Affidavit stating they plan a “No More Jason Kenney Rodeo Rally” to take place on private property this coming weekend.

Initially slated for the Bowden rodeo grounds, the Northcotts' May 1–2 “No More Lockdown Rodeo Rally” was moved to Ty’s farm just south of Bowden after Alberta Health Services put their foot down.

Rebel News was on scene when RCMP served Ty, Gail, and Northcott Rodeo Inc., with summonses to appear in Red Deer Provincial Court for breach of public health restrictions limiting public gatherings to just five people.

According to a press release from the Northcotts' legal team at the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms (JCCF):

The Northcotts have sworn an Affidavit stating they plan a “No More Jason Kenney Rodeo Rally” to take place on private property on the weekend of June 5-6 and it is “not merely a rodeo, it is also a political rally, the purpose of which is to protest the terrible leadership of Jason Kenney and the freedom-crushing lockdown restrictions he has permitted to be imposed on Albertans.”

RCMP issued a summons to Mr. and Mrs. Northcott shortly after the “No More Lockdown Rodeo Rally”. The Justice Centre is representing Mr. and Mrs. Northcott regarding these charges and tickets they were issued.

The JCCF will be in online court for an emergency appearance at 8:45 a.m. MT, and Rebel News' own Sheila Gunn Reid will be there as well to report on this case.

James Kitchen and Jay Cameron of the JCCF are acting for the Northcotts. Kyle Fowler and John Siddon are acting for AHS.

AHS initially wanted to have Rooke find the Northcotts in contempt of Rooke's May 6th order (same one that saw the Pawlowskis, Tim Stephens and Chris Scott arrested and held)for organizing a rodeo this weekend.

They're standing that down.

AHS wants Rooke to draft an order to allow the RCMP stop people from entering the Northcotts' private property.

(at least JCCF was informed of this application. AHS didn't inform Chris Scott)

AHS has some gall. They were trying to loop the Northcotts into the May 6 order that was amended on May 13 to specifically not include anyone but those named in the first order while giving "short an informal notice" to the Northcotts legal team.

Now AHS wants the Justice Rooke to recreate the order they got against Chris Scott that resulted in his incarceration for 3 days to this time apply to the Northcotts. So a [separate] order, nearly identical to the prior one, specifically naming the Northcotts.

(so to be clear, Premier Jason Kenney is boasting that the Calgary stampede is going to go ahead but his health bureaucrats are currently trying to stop a small town rodeo from proceeding under threat of incarceration to the organizer and his cute little wife.)

On yesterday's episode of The Ezra Levant Show, Ezra shared some choice words for Premier Kenney, warning how actions like this are almost certain to lead to Rachel Notley's NDP party regaining control of provincial leadership.

Speaking about how this restaurant, the exclusive Sky Palace, was the final nail in the coffin for Alberta's Progressive Conservative Party and former premier Alison Redford, Ezra warned that Premier Kenney and his associates should know better than this:

Surely a right-wing successor party like the United Conservative Party would know that. Surely the former boss of the Alberta Taxpayers Federation would know that. Surely, in a time of high unemployment, recession and lockdowns, that luxury Sky Palace would've been avoided, would've been padlocked. How odd. In late April, an anti-lockdown protest took place in Peterborough, Ont. that featured People’s Party of Canada leader Maxime Bernier and Ontario MPP Randy Hillier as the keynote speakers. Hundreds attended this peaceful rally, but even before it began, Peterborough Mayor Diane Therrien made it clear that such opinions were not welcome in her city.

So it was that this Her Wokeness stated the following prior to the rally:

“Hey @randyhillier @MaximeBernier I know you boys are bored but,” the mayor tweeted, along with a photo of herself with a written quote in a bubble stating, “Stay TF home.”

(In terms of “TF,” we assume the T is “the” and the F is a four-letter word that rhymes with “duck.”)

The great orator also tweeted: “The travelling clown convention isn’t welcome here. @randyhillier @MaximeBernier.”

Well, the potty-mouth bozo didn’t scare anyone away. Some 1,200 people assembled at Confederation Square, home of Peterborough’s cenotaph.

It was a joyous occasion — until Bernier and Hillier left the podium. That’s because both were promptly intercepted by members of the Peterborough Police Service and given tickets for the egregious crime… of speaking in a public park?

Imagine that? Elected politicians being given tickets for exercising their right to free speech in 2021 Canada?

The mood in the park turned livid, as Peterborough cops endured a deluge of expletives and middle fingers as they handed out tickets.

And my cameraman Mocha and I were ringside covering all the action. And apparently, this is verboten in Peterborough, given that last weekend I was served with a Section 7.0.2. summons under the laughably-named Reopening Ontario Act.

But why?

I was not an organizer of the event. I was not a speaker at the event. I was not even an attendee. I was simply covering the event as a member of the media. What law was broken? Or is this really about trying to intimidate Rebel News for reporting the other side of the story? After all, there were other journalists there that day — did they receive a summons from Peterborough police? And if not, why not?

Of course, we have no plans to bend the knee. We will fight this farcical and outrageous ticket in a court of law later this month. I can’t wait! Federal employees receive paid holiday for Indigenous reconciliation

Federal employees will be given a paid holiday to consider the legacy of residential schools and reconciliation with Indigenous people.

First reported by Blacklock’s Reporter, on Thursday Bill C-5 received Royal Assent and officially passed into law. The bill designated September 30 as a federal holiday called the “National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.”

The holiday only applies to federal employees and workers in federally regulated workplaces such as banks and railways. According to the Department of Labour, the holiday will cost approximately $223 million a year in lost productivity.

Bill C-5 was proposed by Heritage Minister Steven Guilbeault. Parliament decided to fast-track the bill after the apparent discovery of 215 human remains buried at a former residential school in Kamloops, BC.

“Addressing the consequences of colonial violence needs to go beyond words. Bill C-5 is an important step in the path towards reconciliation, which won’t be achieved in the blink of an eye,” Guilbeault said.

While Guilbeault claims a paid holiday for federal bureaucrats will help achieve reconciliation, opposition members have questioned why the government won’t promote legislation that actually improves Indigenous communities.

“What we have is continued virtue signalling seemingly as a substitute for any substantive delivery,” said Conservative Senate leader Donald Plett.

“It’s easier to give bureaucrats the day off here than it is to work on the more pressing but difficult issues that are facing Indigenous communities every day of the week.”

Nunavut Senator Dennis Patterson noted that with the pay given to federal employees not to work for a day would go far in addressing some of the systemic issues Indigenous communities deal with all year.

“What could long-term, dedicated and stable funding mean for food security, for closing the infrastructure gap which is huge, for finally ending boiled water advisories, for dealing with acute housing shortfalls in Indigenous communities?” said Patterson.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Chrystia Freeland was caught hurryingly putting on a mask during a virtual news conference on Wednesday.

According to The Post Millennial, a clip circulating online appears to show Freeland maskless at the conference for a brief period.

In the CPAC video, Freeland is seen putting on a generic medical mask for less than a minute before taking it off again.

Freeland has accused Conservatives in the past of playing into “conspiracy theories” and not following the science around COVID-19.

“Mr. Speaker, we have all seen that the Conservatives have in recent days been descending into some dark and, indeed, dystopian conspiracy theories, and I think I understand why. The problem is the Conservatives themselves cannot figure out what they stand for. Do they believe in science or do they believe in anti-vaxxers?” said Freeland in December.

True North reached out to Freeland to ask why she felt the need to don a mask momentarily during a virtual press conference but did not receive a response by the time this article was published.

Freeland’s slip up follows a recent trend of politicians being called out for hypocrisy and theatrics when it comes to mask wearing and other COVID-19 public health orders.

Recently, NDP leader Jagmeet Singh apologized after a video surfaced of him hugging a friend while unmasked contrary to public health orders.

“Like most Canadians, I’ve done my best to follow public health advice. Coming back from this event, I did not do enough to follow that advice and I’m sorry,” said Singh in a statement to Global News.

“I will do better to keep my family, our community and all Canadians safe. We cannot let our guard down if we want to beat this virus, and I’m committed to continue to do my best until we’re on the other side of this.”

Canada lost 68,000 jobs as lockdowns continue to wreak havoc on the economy, meanwhile unemployment in the United States decreased as states continue to lift public health measures.

In their monthly Labour Force Survey, Statistics Canada said the employment rate fell 0.4%, mainly in provinces that have introduced new public health restrictions. By comparison, the United States gained 559,000 jobs in May.

“Following the April reference week, tighter public health restrictions continued or were introduced in several provinces,” StatsCan wrote.

“Ontario and Nova Scotia accounted for most of the overall employment decline in May. Employment increased in Saskatchewan, while there was little change in all other provinces.”

A staggering 36,000 jobs were lost in manufacturing, marking the first time in over a year that employment in the goods-producing sector shrunk. Retail and services also saw declines.

May is the second consecutive month of abysmal job losses. In April, Canada lost a staggering 207,000 jobs as Ontario issued a stay-at-home order and other provinces chose to increase restrictions as well.

Speaking on Friday, Conservative jobs and industry critic Pierre Poilievre slammed the government’s handling of the economy, noting that despite massive deficits the Canadian economy is still performing worse than most developed nations.

“Last month, half a million Americans got new jobs as the US unemployment rate fell to just 5.8%. Here in Canada, we lost 68,000 jobs, as our unemployment rate rose above 8%,” he said.

“Trudeau said these monstrous deficits he ran would stimulate the economy, he ran the biggest deficit in the G20 by far. He claimed this would stimulate growth and jobs. Well, the opposite has happened, there are half a million more people unemployed people today than when the pandemic began.”

Poilievre says that a Conservative reopening would focus on ensuring Canadian businesses can operate and hire. Poilievre noted that Canadians cannot survive off of government assistance forever.

“We need to change our economy from a credit card economy to a paycheque economy,” Poilievre explained.

“It is not enough to simply send people $2,000 cheques. Nobody can live off of $2,000 a month of CERB and the government certainly cannot pay it forever.”

Guilbeault presents motion to end debate on C-10

Liberal Minister of Canadian Heritage Steven Guilbeault is hoping to cut short debate on his government’s internet regulation bill, C-10.

The minister presented a notice of a motion on Thursday, which would effectively force the committee to abide by a strict time window to pass Bill C-10 “as quickly as possible.”

“It will finally put an end to six weeks of systematic obstruction of the bill by the Conservative Party,” said Guilbeault.

According to Blacklock’s Reporter, during a House of Commons heritage committee meeting, Guilbeault expressed frustration about not getting the legislation passed in time before parliament’s summer recess starts on June 24.

“I have another bill that’s been stuck in committee for weeks where there is absolutely no progress whatsoever that’s being made because of one party deciding they don’t want this to happen,” said Guilbeault.

“We are a minority government. It is more challenging to move legislation through the House of Commons in this context.”

According to defenders of the bill, C-10 would force large platforms like Facebook and Google to pay for Canadian cultural and news content while also updating the Canadian Broadcasting Act to better meet current digital realities.

However, an earlier decision by Liberal members of the heritage committee to strip the law of a provision protecting user-generated content from CRTC regulation sparked weeks of public outcry centred around free speech concerns.

Several experts including a former CRTC vice-chair have publicly decried the law as at odds with open internet and freedom of expression.

Instead of addressing concerns around free speech, Guilbeault has opted to name-call opponents of the law and accused those who are critical of the legislation of belonging to an “extremist element” of the Conservative Party.

As we spoke, there was a warrant out for Pastor Tobias's arrest, both for hosting church services and other events.

He is part of an unofficial group of five in Manitoba who were all given warrants on the same day, but unlike the other four, who have signed the conditions of their release, Tobias knows he cannot, because it would mean he would be unable to host church services.

He does not want to silently allow for his arrest — he does not want to be detained while no one is watching, because he knows the Manitoba government is trying to do this under the radar.

That said, Pastor Tobias has been in communication with law enforcement and has told them very clearly when and where he would submit himself to authorities. If they want to arrest this pastor, they will have to do it at the church.

Alberta Health Service gets order to ban second protest rodeo

Friday, in Alberta provincial court in front of Justice Rooke, Alberta Health Services received a court order prohibiting rodeo legend Ty Northcott, his wife Gail, and their business entity, from holding the protest rodeo they planned for this weekend.

The order prohibits the rodeo wherever it may be held, anywhere within the province and also restrains the Northcotts to abide by any current public health orders. With the new order in place, a COVID infraction could land the Northcotts behind bars for contempt of court.

The Northcotts have previously received a summons after they held a protest rodeo at their Bowden-area farm in May.

The Northcotts were represented in court by Jay Cameron and James Kitchen of the Justice Center for Constitutional Freedoms.

Cameron made a point to remind Justice Rooke that Alberta Premier Jason Kenney and senior members of his cabinet, including Health Minister Tyler Shandro, were seen to be breaking at least the spirit of the current public health orders by dining together maskless on a private patio in the building pejoratively known as the Sky Palace.

Rooke is the same Justice that issued the Alberta Health Services order against Chris Scott of the Whistle Stop Cafe without notifying the court that Scott was represented by Chad Williamson from Williamson Law.

Williamson was not notified until that order was granted. Scott spent three days in jail for holding a 1,500 person protest at his recently confiscated restaurant that AHS alleges breached the order restraining him from organizing, attending or promoting a gathering that did not conform to the public health restrictions of no more than five people at the time.

It's not known at this time of the Northcotts plan to proceed with their event.

Police in Melbourne, Australia paid a visit to the home of Rebel News Chief Australia Correspondent Avi Yemini ahead of his intended coverage of a planned protest against the state of Victoria's most recent lockdown.

Officers came to Yemini's home in the evening on June 4 to deliver him a letter from the Victoria Police commissioner.

The contents of the letter are not yet clear, though the officer suggested that they would be delivering several more letters to others.

Yemini pressed the police as to whether they would be delivering these types of letters to other media outlets in the area, such as 7 News, 9 News or 10 News First. The officer declined to reveal whether or not that was the case, claiming that would be revealing sensitive information.

For his part, Yemini showed no intention of backing down from covering Saturday's demonstration.

“Let me make one thing absolutely clear, I'm not going to be intimidated by any cops,” Yemini told viewers as police left.

“I don't care if the commissioner, the assistant commissioner, came himself to deliver that message. I'm going to be there tomorrow to do my job as a journalist for Rebel News.”

OTTAWA, Ontario, June 4, 2021 (LifeSiteNews) – After announcing last year vaccine makers would be shielded from liability regarding COVID-19 jab related injuries, the Canadian federal government has launched the nation’s first-ever program designed to financially compensate those who have suffered adverse side effects from any type of vaccines.

The Vaccine Injury Support Program (VISP) was officially announced in December 2020, around the time the federal government under Prime Minister Justin Trudeau allowed the first COVID-19 injections for use in Canada.

Canada’s Chief Medical Officer Dr. Theresa Tam announced the launch of VISP on Tuesday.

According to the VISP website, the purpose of the program is to “ensure that all people in Canada who have experienced a serious and permanent injury as a result of receiving a Health Canada authorized vaccine, administered in Canada on or after December 8, 2020, have fair and timely access to financial support.”

In December 2020, Canada’s Procurement Minister Anita Anand was quoted as confirming to reporters that “indemnification clauses in vaccine contracts are standard,” and that they would be used for COVID-19 vaccine makers.

“All countries, generally speaking, are faced with the issue of indemnification of companies, especially in cases of novel technologies like this,” said Anand. “Yes we are, and we are definitely not any different than any other country in this world.”

In a Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) document from 2017, which was updated in 2019, the agency stipulated that in times of pandemic, indemnity clauses should be used so there is no supply disruption.

“To prevent delays in release of the vaccine at time of pandemic, the pandemic vaccine supply contract stipulates that the Government of Canada will indemnify the manufacturer against any claims or lawsuits brought against it by third parties,” the document reads.

Shortly after the Canadian government announced VISP, the government put out a tender contract notice to “eligible organizations to submit an application to administer a no-fault support program for people in Canada with a serious and permanent vaccine injury.”

According to the VISP website, the program is being administered and delivered “independently” by the Canadian accounting and tax firm Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton, with funding from PHAC.

“Decisions on individual claims are made by a committee of independent medical experts and neither PHAC nor Health Canada is involved in the decision of individual claims,” says the VISP website.

Health Canada has authorized four COVID-19 injections for adults, all of which are connected to abortion. All of them have also been associated with severe side effects such as blood clots, rashes, miscarriages, and even heart attacks in young healthy men.

The Pfizer vaccine has been approved for use in kids aged 12 to 16, and just recently, the National Advisory Committee on Immunization stated that the “mixing” of COVID-19 jabs is permissible for those who had the AstraZeneca vaccine.

Health Canada states that all COVID-19 vaccines on offer are allowed to operate under an interim order, which is in effect until September 16, 2021.

In Canada, health is under the full authority of the provinces, and vaccines are not mandatory at the federal level. Some provinces — such as Ontario and New Brunswick — have made certain vaccines mandatory via legislation, with a few exceptions, for children to attend public schools.

The VISP website states that all current and “future Health Canada authorized vaccines or immunoglobulins” will be covered on the program which is open to all ages.

One does not need to be a Canadian citizen to be awarded a settlement from the program, but the vaccine must have been administered in Canada.
