For months now, Rebel News has been keeping the public informed about growing safety concerns surrounding the emergency use only COVID-19 vaccines that our elites and politicians insist must be taken in order for our human rights to be returned.

Recently, however, red flags surrounding the vaccines have become more prevalent and difficult to censor, such that even mainstream media are starting to allow a discussion about their safety without using labels like ‘conspiracy theory’ and ‘anti-vaxx.’

Israel, one of the quickest countries to roll out the COVID vaccine, including to children, recently released a report showing that “There is a likelihood of a connection between receiving a second dose of [Pfizer/BioNTech] vaccine and the onset of myocarditis in young men aged 16-30.”

Similarly, the U.K. and U.S. recently began investigations after some teens experienced heart issues after being inoculated with the Pfizer vaccine.

Despite these developments and the fact that teenagers have almost a zero chance of dying from COVID, Health Canada has yet to suspend the use of COVID-19 vaccinations for children until we have more answers.

Additionally, the government is still allowing teenagers to receive the vaccine without parental consent.

Last week, a group of protesters from the Protect Our Children group rallied at the Vancouver Coastal Health building in hopes of putting an end to that.

With Quebec’s government promoting one unilateral view of COVID-19, people are asking for public debate, whether on television or radio, with scientists providing information and defending different agreements on approaches to the pandemic.

On May 30, a protest was held in Montreal with the goal of getting people to see the bigger picture and allowing them to make up their own minds.

Around 60 people were present, peacefully, but with a great deal of spirit.

We asked protesters why they were taking part in the rally and what questions they would like to ask to the politicians in charge, specifically Premier François Legault and Director of Public Health Horacio Arruda.

Senior Republican leader calls for re-opening of Canada-US border

New York Congresswoman and GOP Conference Chair Elise Stefanik has called for the Canada-US border to begin reopening by June 21.

In a letter penned to Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, Stefanik wrote that Canada’s border restrictions have been largely unfair to Americans, noting that the US allows Canadians much more freedom.

“We should be under no illusion that the current restrictions are either fully synchronized or equitable for U.S. citizens. Canadians have been permitted to fly into the U.S. throughout the pandemic, while Americans remain unable to fly into Canada for non-essential travel,” she wrote.

“Canadians have been able to receive a vaccine when in the U.S., while fully vaccinated Americans are unable even to quarantine on their own properties in Canada, many of which have gone unattended for well over a year.”

As chair of the House Republican Conference, Stefanik is the third highest-ranking Republican in Congress. Her congressional district also covers most of New York’s border with Canada.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau originally closed the border to non-essential travel on March 16, 2020 and has extended the closure each month since. The current border closure order expires on June 21.

Stefanik went on to ask the Biden Administration to work with Canada to begin reopening the border. If an agreement isn’t reached by June 21, Stefanik argues the US should unilaterally reduce restrictions on their side.

Stefanik is the latest American politician to argue for the Canada-US border to reopen. Elected officials from both parties have noted how damaging Canada’s protracted ban on travel has been for both sides.

Last month, US Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer argued the Canada-US border should open soon as residents of both countries have suffered from the closure for too long.

Other members of congress and governors of border states have also argued that both countries need to allow for non-essential purposes like meeting with loved ones.

On Monday, Bloomberg reported that the Trudeau government is preparing to ease Canada’s border restrictions for travellers who have been fully vaccinated.

COVID Origins Report From Lawrence Livermore "Z Division" Concluded In May 2020 Lab Leak 'Plausible'

While Anthony Fauci spent much of last year telling the public that COVID-19 couldn't have possibly come from a Wuhan lab his agency was funding, the Lawrence Livermore Lab's intelligence arm, known as the "Z-Division," found the Wuhan lab-leak theory to be quite plausible and deserving of further investigation, according to the Wall Street Journal.

In a classified May 27, 2020 report that the US State Department heavily relied upon its investigation (and which President Biden canceled shortly after taking office), scientific investigators studied the genetic makeup of the SARS-CoV-2 virus, in what was "among the first U.S. government efforts to seriously explore the hypothesis that the virus leaked from China’s Wuhan Institute of Virology along with the competing hypothesis the pandemic began with human contact with infected animals."

One person who read the document, which is dated May 27, 2020, said it made a strong case for further inquiry into the possibility the virus seeped out of the lab.

The study also had a major influence on the State Department’s probe into Covid-19’s origins. State Department officials received the study in late October 2020 and asked for more information, according to a timeline by the agency’s arms control and verification bureau, which was reviewed by The Wall Street Journal.

The study was important because it came from a respected national laboratory and differed from the dominant view in spring 2020 that the virus almost certainly was first transmitted to humans via an infected animal, a former official involved in the State Department inquiry said. -WSJ

The WIV was home to scientists internationally known for genetically modifying COVID viruses to better infect humans - perhaps including an intermediate horseshoe bat coronavirus they collected in 2013 which is 96.2% identical to SARS-CoV-2, while we know know that a subagency of the NIH headed by Fauci was funding risky coronavirus research to the tune of millions of dollars, funneled through nonprofit EcoHealth Alliance after the Obama administration cut off funding for so-called "gain of function" research in 2014.

What's more, the Fauci's agency resumed funding the risky research in 2017 without the approval of a government oversight body.

Of note, the WIV "had openly participated in gain-of-function research in partnership with U.S. universities and institutions" for years under the leadership of Dr. Shi 'Batwoman' Zhengli, according to the Washington Post's Josh Rogin.

On May 26, President Biden called for a fresh, 90-day review of intelligence collected on the origins of COVID-19. While he didn't directly reference the Lawrence Livermore classified report, he said that US national laboratories overseen by the Energy Department would augment the spy agencies' work. Hours after Biden's announcement, the New York Times reported the existence of a 'raft' of still-unexamined evidence which required additional supercomputer analysis.

In other words, the US government has been sitting on a large collection of intelligence in perhaps the most important investigation into an economy-wrecking global pandemic, as China destroyed evidence and has refused to cooperate with international probes. According to the report, Biden's call for the new investigation was in response to the 'new' evidence.

According to the report, US allies have been providing evidence since the beginning of the pandemic. Australia, a member of the so-called Five Eyes partnership which also includes Britain, Canada and New Zealand, has strongly promoted the lab-leak theory. And while US intelligence agencies are reportedly coming together "around the two likely scenarios," a former State Department official says the evidence to support the natural origin theory is virtually non-existent.

"We were finding that despite the claims of our scientific community, including the National Institutes of Health and Dr. Fauci's NIAID organization, there was almost no evidence that supported a natural, zoonotic evolution or source of COVID-19," said former State Department official David Asher in a statement to Fox News. "The data disproportionately stacked up as we investigated that it was coming out of a lab or some supernatural source."

I went to the Church of Glad Tidings website to see if some of the other sessions from the conference were there. It appears that some are, but maybe not all of them.

Since I was a lot less familiar with Dr. David Martin than I am with some of the other participants in this conference, and since some of things he shared during the Q&A session with Dr. Mikovits were so fascinating, I decided to watch his 90+ minute presentation from the next day of the conference, “How Did We Get Here?”

Dr. David Martin has a very long bio with years of experience, and if I were to copy it all here it would probably double the length of this article, so you can read it on his website.

I have never read a bio as diverse as his, and it is likely you have not either.

His 90-minute presentation challenged my thinking on several topics, and I don’t necessarily agree with everything he says in his presentation, but that’s a good thing.

One of the problems with modern American culture is that we are conditioned to only seek out people who believe in and agree with the same things we think or believe in, and therefore we lose opportunities to grow in knowledge and benefit from the experience and wisdom of others.

So when I learned what Dr. Martin’s main premise was, which is that it is not the Federal Reserve and Central Bankers who control the U.S. financial system, but instead it is the Life Insurance industry, I was skeptical. And honestly, I have not had the time yet to research this topic and verify what he is claiming.

But the other part of his main premise, which is that the Globalists use “science” to weaponize nature, and that at its core it has always been a eugenics system, that is definitely a topic I can resonate with from the years of publishing we have done here at Health Impact News, exposing the modern-day field of “genetics” as just “eugenics” at its core, which is the basis of modern medicine and the pharmaceutical industry. The European database of suspected drug reaction reports is EudraVigilance, which also tracks reports of injuries and deaths following the experimental COVID-19 “vaccines.”

One MLA called for the resignation of Jason Kenney, who was photographed having a rooftop dinner with eight other people in violation of his guidelines for gatherings.

EDMONTON, Alberta, June 7, 2021 (LifeSiteNews) – Internal party angst is growing against the “hypocrisy” of Alberta Premier Jason Kenney after he allegedly broke the same COVID-19 rules he has fiercely enforced for more than a year.

Last Wednesday, photos emerged showing Kenney and eight other people, including Health Minister Tyler Shandro, House Leader and Environment Minister Jason Nixon, and Finance Minister Travis Toews, appear to be violating COVID-19 guidelines while engaging in a patio dinner on the rooftop of a government building last week.

Photos of the dinner, which took place on June 1, were sent to multiple media outlets from an “anonymous” individual who took the photos from a nearby building.

The photos of Kenney and his minister’s rooftop dinner show attendees in close proximity to each other, as well as people walking in and out of the building, with none of them wearing masks, although they are not mandatory outdoors.

According to Alberta’s COVID-19 rules, since June 1 outdoor social gatherings are limited to 10 people who are mandated to be “physically distanced” at all times if they are from “different households.” Indoor social gatherings are not allowed.

Dining in an outdoor patio is only allowed for up to four people from the same household.

After news spread of the dinner, members of Kenney’s United Conservative Party (UCP), Independent MLAs and those from the opposition NDP blasted the event for its “hypocrisy.”

“Looking at these photos it seems clear to me that several health restrictions were violated. Much of the public concern about this incident has been about the hypocrisy of senior officials breaking their own rules. I can certainly understand these concerns,” wrote Airdrie-East UCP MLA Angela Pitt, who is also the deputy speaker of the legislature, on her Facebook page.

“The Premier had a restaurant dinner on his patio with seven friends, and it remains unclear to Albertans why a restaurant owner can't have larger groups on their patio. I am calling on the Premier today to make the rules more consistent, to give businesses fairness, and to allow restaurants to safely operate in the same fashion in which the Premier just portrayed.”

Shortly after Pitt’s statement, Independent Alberta MLA for Cypress-Medicine Hat Drew Barnes, who was booted from Kenney’s governing UCP in May along with MLA Todd Loewen, said Kenney needs to resign because of the rooftop dinner.

“Like Todd Loewen, this is another example of a principled, hardworking constituency conservative MLA hearing overwhelmingly from Albertans that Jason Kenney’s entitlement, hypocrisy and refusal to listen have reached a breaking point,” said Barnes, MLA for Cypress-Medicine Hat.

“Kenney needs to resign, and all Albertans need to get back to building a free, prosperous Alberta for our communities, families and children.”

Over the weekend, two of Kenney’s cabinet ministers Leela Aheer, Minister of Culture, Multiculturalism, and Status of Women, and Minister of Community and Social Services Rajan Sawhney demanded that Kenney apologize for the rooftop dinner.

In a press conference today, Kenney offered an apology for his rooftop meal.

“I regret the perception this has created. I truly regret it. I take full responsibility,” said Kenney.

Peter McCaffrey, president of the Alberta Institute, said he has no problem with Kenney dining. It’s just that as leader of the province he was the one who enacted the laws that businesses were forced to follow.

“Kenney's defence essentially boils down to him thinking what he was doing made sense and was safe. I agree, it did! The problem is, the laws he's imposing on businesses and restaurants around the province don't make sense,” tweeted McCaffrey.

Photos of the dining event also sparked online ridicule and outrage, as many businesses have been forced to close due to severe COVID-19 lockdowns that have kept Alberta under lock and key for more than six months.

“While they send out the police to arrest pastors and seize church properties, they ignore the very rules they punish others for questioning. It’s over, @jkenney. Open up everything now and leave people alone. #cdnpoli #EndTheLockdowns,” tweeted Independent MP Derek Sloan.

Trudeau Urged by US, Canada Business to Open Border This Month

Business groups are calling on the Canadian and U.S. governments to relax border restrictions for vaccinated travelers this month, increasing pressure on Justin Trudeau to act swiftly.

Chambers of commerce on both sides of the border, along with other groups, want travelers who’ve been fully inoculated against Covid-19 to be able to cross the border without having to show a negative test or undergo a quarantine, a letter to be released Tuesday said. The groups want these changes to take effect on June 22, a day after the pact that limits non-essential travel between the two countries is due for renewal, according to the letter, which was reported first by Bloomberg News.

Trudeau is expected to shorten the existing two-week quarantine requirement for vaccinated travelers in coming days, Bloomberg News reported Monday. Tests would still be required, people familiar with the plans said, suggesting the initial Canadian move will fall short of the business groups’ demands.

Easing restrictions this month “to take account of rising vaccination levels would sustain jobs, boost business confidence and allow more families to reunite,” the groups said. “It would help facilitate a safe and gradual return to a more normal life.”

Signatories to the letter include the Canadian and U.S. chambers of commerce, the Retail Council of Canada, the National Retail Federation in the U.S., the Business Council of Canada, industry group the Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters and the Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business.

Every month since March 2020, Canada and the U.S. have extended the border restrictions to curb the spread of Covid-19. Now with summer around the corner and vaccination rates rising, lawmakers on both sides of the border are facing calls to lay out a plan for reopening.

A new poll conducted by Nanos Research Group for Bloomberg News shows Canadians are becoming more receptive to reopening the U.S. border. While 53% of respondents remain somewhat uncomfortable with easing restrictions on U.S. travel, that’s down from closer to 80% earlier in the pandemic.

Some travel and tourism businesses say it’s urgent. “Our occupancy rate has been a little lower than 20%. I don’t think we’ll be able to do many more months like this,” Christiane Germain, co-president of the Quebec-based Germain Hotels chain, said in an interview on BNN Bloomberg Television.

“We need to have goals in order to open up the border. We need to know what the vaccination rate should be in order to open up the borders. I think it would be an incentive to get vaccinated,” Germain said.

U.S. and Canadian government officials began discussions to loosen restrictions on the world’s longest undefended border earlier this year. The border between the two nations has been closed to most non-essential travel since the start of the pandemic.

The restrictions have hit Canada’s tourism and airline sectors particularly hard. One estimate says the measures cost those industries about C$20 billion ($16.5 billion) in revenue last year. Trade data released by Statistics Canada on Tuesday show spending by foreign travelers to Canada fell to C$889 million in April, near the decade-low levels seen earlier in the pandemic.

In addition to removing the Covid-19 test and quarantine requirements, the business groups are also asking the Canadian and U.S. governments to mutually recognize vaccine credentials to support the movement of inoculated citizens and produce a plan the includes clear guidelines for all other travelers.

Canada Still Supports Colombia’s Repressive Right-wing Government

Last week right-wing Colombian President Ivan Duque deployed the military to Cali. The city of 2.3 million has been the epicenter of a month-long nationwide protest that forced the government to withdraw a regressive tax proposal that unleashed a general strike.

During the past month security forces have killed at least 50 and probably dozens more. Over 300 individuals are missing, according to Colombia’s National Movement of Victims of State Crimes, in a country with a history of political disappearances.

In a sign the politics of the protesters are radicalizing, ten days ago protesters burned massive US and Israeli flags. In response Dan Cohen tweeted, “This isn’t just a strike against austerity measures. It’s a full-on uprising against imperialism.”

Perhaps one could add, against Canadian policies.

Clearly, Canada has promoted the policies Colombians are rebelling against. Over the past three-decades Ottawa has been close diplomatically to Latin America’s most repressive state and has promoted capitalist policies that have contributed to Colombia’s extreme inequality.

The Justin Trudeau Liberals has promoted President Iván Duque who Le Soleil labeled “le champion du retour de la droite dure en Colombie” (champion of the return of the hard right in Colombia). After Duque won a close election marred by fraud allegations, foreign minister Chrystia Freeland “congratulated” him and said, “Canada and Colombia share a commitment to democracy and human rights.” In August 2018 Trudeau tweeted, “today, Colombia’s new President, Ivan Duque, took office and joins … others with a gender-equal cabinet. Iván, I look forward to working with you and your entire team.” A month later he added, “thanks to President Ivan Duque for a great first meeting at UNGA this afternoon, focused on growing our economies, addressing the crisis in Venezuela, and strengthening the friendship between Canada & Colombia.”

Trudeau has yet to say anything about the massive repression of protesters in the past month. But Garneau criticized the security forces’ deadly violence in equal measure to protestors’ purported vandalism. Driver mounted the curb and ran over a family of five in Ontario killing four people, with a nine-year-old boy the only survivor

Police in the Canadian province of Ontario said a man driving a pick-up truck slammed into a Muslim family in a “premeditated” attack, killing four and seriously injuring a nine-year-old boy.

Local news outlets said the victims were waiting to cross a street in the city of London, Ontario, about 200km southwest of Toronto, on Sunday evening, when the car mounted the curb.

The victims were two women aged 77 and 44, a 46-year-old man and a 15-year-old girl. The nine-year-old boy was seriously injured and is recovering in hospital. The authorities did not release the names of the victims.

“There is evidence that this was a planned, premeditated act, motivated by hate,” London Detective Superintendent Paul Waight told reporters on Monday.

“It is believed that these victims were targeted because they were Muslim.”

Canadian media reported that a 20-year-old man was arrested at a mall in London, near where it happened, and was charged with four counts of murder and one count of attempted murder.

CBC reported that the attacker was found wearing a vest that was similar to body armour in appearance.

“We grieve for the family, three generations of whom are now deceased,” London’s Mayor Ed Holder told reporters at Monday’s press conference.

“This was an act of mass murder, perpetrated against Muslims, against Londoners, and rooted in unspeakable hatred.”

‘This hate is insidious and despicable’

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said he was “horrified” by what he described as an “act of hatred”, and said his thoughts were with the victims’ loved ones, including the young boy who survived.

“To the Muslim community in London and to Muslims across the country, know that we stand with you. Islamophobia has no place in any of our communities. This hate is insidious and despicable – and it must stop,” Trudeau tweeted.

Justin Trudeau's appointee in charge of the country's select COVID quarantine hotels was unable to answer a question on allegations of sexual assaults occurring at these facilities, in light of the news that the prime minister will soon check into an Ottawa hotel of his own government's choosing.

Iain Stewart, President of the Public Health Agency of Canada, blamed the structure of Conservative MP Michelle Rempel Garner's question on his inability to answer during an exchange earlier this week.

Air travellers to Canada may only enter through Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto or Montreal, and must stay at a predetermined, government-approved hotel on arrival in one of those four cities.

However, Trudeau, along with his delegation and approved media, will spend their quarantine at an undisclosed hotel in Ottawa after returning from an upcoming trip to the United Kingdom for a G7 leaders summit.

Rempel Garner highlighted the reports of sexual assaults on women in COVID quarantine, and asked if the safety concerns of those women were greater or less than Trudeau's.

Canada’s leaders to attend vigil for murdered Muslim family in London

All of Canada’s major party leaders will be attending a vigil in London, Ont. for a Muslim family police say was intentionally attacked by a driver.

On Sunday evening, a family of five was walking outside when police say a pickup truck drove off the curb and hit them. Four family members died and a nine year-old boy remains in hospital.

The London Muslim Mosque is hosting a vigil for the family in its parking lot.

The Prime Minister’s Office confirmed Tuesday morning Trudeau would be attending the vigil.

Conservative leader Erin O’Toole, Green leader Annamie Paul and Bloc Quebecois will attend the vigil as well, travelling with Trudeau on the federal government’s Challenger jet. Ontario Premier Doug Ford is also planning to attend.

NDP leader Jagmeet Singh and Green leader Annamie Paul have also said they’ll be at the vigil, though it is not clear whether they are travelling with Trudeau.

Speaking in the House of Commons on Tuesday, Trudeau called the incident a terrorist attack motivated by Islamophobia.

“Their lives were taken in a brutal, cowardly, and brazen act of violence. This killing was no accident. This was a terrorist attack, motivated by hatred, in the heart of one of our communities,” he said.

Also speaking in the House of Commons on Tuesday, Conservative leader Erin O’Toole condemned the attack and shared his solidarity with the community. O’Toole spoke about the surviving family member and how Canada must do more to prevent hateful attacks in the future.

“We grieve for the Muslim community in London and across the country. We have to learn and strive to do better,” O’Toole said.

“Because there’s a nine year-old boy lying in a hospital bed, we have to strive to learn and be better. The Canada of his future needs to be better than the Canada of Sunday evening.”

People’s Party of Canada leader Maxime Bernier condemned the “horrific hateful attack” Tuesday as well.

Outdoor gatherings in Ontario are presently limited to five people, though Ford said Tuesday morning that an exemption would be granted to allow the vigil to proceed legally.

Police have charged 20-year-old Nathaniel Veltman with four counts of first-degree murder and one count of attempted murder in connection with the attack.

The vigil will be held at the London Muslim Mosque on Oxford Street West at 7:00 PM.

Heritage Minister Steven Guilbeault says most Canadians are okay with the federal government moderating their content on the internet claiming only a “minority” is opposed to regulation.

According to Blacklock’s Reporter, Guilbeault made the comments during a House of Commons ethics committee meeting on the Liberal government’s promised legislation meant to tackle online harms like “hateful” content and disinformation.

“There are some people out there, a minority clearly, who would advocate that we shouldn’t intervene, there should be no laws whatsoever regarding the internet, and anyways what happens on the internet stays on the internet. Well, it’s clearly not the case,” said Guilbeault.

When pressed by fellow committee members, Guilbeault noted that the government already has the power to tackle illegal online content like hate speech and incitement of violence but claimed that the purpose of the proposed bill is to moderate ordinary content.

“The bill we’re talking about now deals with the moderation of content,” Guilbeault told his fellow committee members.

“It’s going to be about an entire new ecosystem to help us deal with these harms online in a way we can’t right now.”

Prior to the 2019 election, the Liberal-dominated House of Commons justice committee held hearings on online hate legislation, culminating in a report introducing a bill expanding the government’s ability to address online hate speech.

True North’s Lindsay Shepherd was among those who testified before the committee, though the majority of witnesses called by the committee were pushing for speech restrictions.

The proposed online hate speech bill is separate from Bill C-10, the internet regulation bill currently being pushed through the House of Commons by the Liberals.

While C-10 will deal with expanding the regulatory powers of the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) to apply to digital content, critics have raised the alarm about the legislation’s threat to free speech.

During a virtual panel in April, Guilbeault hinted that the incoming legislation meant to tackle online hate speech could go even further and include a “kill-switch” which would allow regulators to force social media companies to remove content they don’t approve of.

Although the proposed bill has yet to be tabled, Guilbeault has suggested that the law will rely on prior court cases to provide a definition of what constitutes “hate.” Among the precedents cited by Guilbeault was the Supreme Court of Canada’s Whatcott decision, which declared that even truthful statements could be considered hate speech.

As Calgary tackles the issue of defunding its police, a recent report by the Calgary Police Commission reveals that the city’s law enforcement force is struggling to find new recruits while also facing a gun crime problem.

The Calgary Police Service Annual Report is due to be presented before the city’s committee on Community and Protective Services this Wednesday.

“The COVID pandemic, public health restrictions, and budget uncertainty in 2020 had a significant impact on the Service’s ability to recruit, train and hire new officers. Hiring was far below attrition; by the end of 2020 there were over 100 sworn vacancies resulting in increased workload for existing officers,” writes the Commission.

Following wide-spread protests and riots in the US and Canada over the death of George Floyd in 2020, Calgary Mayor Naheed Nenshi spearheaded a push to defund the city’s police force by up to $20 million.

Nenshi was joined by councillors Evan Woolley, Gian-Carlo Carra and George Chahal in supporting the motion to relocate police funds.

While the motion did not pass in its original form, city council eventually voted to pull $8 million in funds from city reserves and the official police budget submission also included a voluntary $8 million dedication for alternative policing initiatives.

The Commission’s report also makes mention of Calgary Police’s engagement with “with advocacy groups such as Black Lives Matter (BLM) and Walk for Freedom to promote peaceful and constructive interactions in the community.”

In 2020, Calgary Police also noted that gun and gang crime in the city “was of particular concern.”

“There were 112 shooting events, representing a forty percentincrease over the five-year average. The CPS is an active member of the Community Based Public Safety Task Force, formed to address the increase in gun and gang-related violence,” claimed the report.

“In April 2020, the Firearms Investigative Team (FIT) was created in response to the increase in firearm activity to track, trace, and investigate every crime gun seized by the CPS. There were 1191 guns seized by CPS in 2020 and of those, 507 were deemed to be crime guns.”

WINNIPEG, June 8, 2021 (JCCF) – The Justice Centre represents churches and individuals who are challenging government lockdown restrictions in the Court of Queen’s Bench as unjustified violations of the Charter freedoms to associate, worship, and assemble peacefully. The hearing commenced on May 3, 2021 and is continuing this week.

The onus is on the Manitoba Government to justify its restrictions on Charter rights and freedoms as being reasonable, necessary and beneficial.

One of the crucial issues in this trial is the operation and reliability of the Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test that is used by governments across Canada, including the Manitoba Government, to diagnose COVID and measure its spread.

The Westphalian Times explains PCR tests as follows:

The current COVID testing is based on polymerase chain reaction (PCR) – “a fast and inexpensive technique used to ‘amplify’ – copy – small segments of DNA.” Many internationally recognized experts on virology and PCR testing are questioning if the tests have been made overly sensitive and many positives are the result of long dead and no longer contagious virus or even contamination in labs. PCR testing was invented to find genetic viral material in a sample and has not traditionally been used as the sole method for identifying people suffering from a viral or bacterial disease.

COVID testing is typically performed using a nasopharyngeal swab, a 6-inch long swab inserted deep into the nostril. The swab is rotated for a while and then it is sent to a lab where a PCR test will dramatically amplify the amount of genetic material captured and then compare it to the DNA or RNA of a particular segment of the COVID virus (reference RNA).

To get enough genetic material to test, the PCR process increases the genetic material present by copying it and then copying it again, over and over. Each of these increasing steps is called a “cycle” and the genetic material in the solution is reacted against the reference DNA to determine a positive. If the sample contains a large amount of COVID virus it will react positive after only a few cycles, while a sample with small amounts of genetic material will require more cycles to amplify enough genetic material to get a positive result.

Since the PCR test amplifies traces of COVID-19 through cycles, a lower number of cycles needed to get a positive suggests the presence of a higher viral load for the person being tested and therefore a higher contagion potential.

The number of cycling required to identify viral material in a given sample is called the cycle threshold (Ct).

The Justice Centre’s expert medical witnesses, Dr. Jay Bhattacharya, world-famous epidemiologist and Professor of Medicine from Stanford University, and Dr. Thomas Warren, infectious disease specialist and medical microbiologist, both provided evidence that the PCR test is unreliable in determining whether a person is infectious with the actual COVID-19 disease.

Chief Microbiologist and Laboratory Specialist Dr. Jared Bullard is a witness for the Manitoba government in this hearing. Questioned under oath by Justice Centre lawyers on Monday May 10, Dr. Bullard acknowledged that the PCR test has significant limitations. The head of Cadham Provincial Laboratory in Winnipeg, Dr. Bullard admitted that PCR test results do not verify infectiousness, and were never intended to be used to diagnose respiratory illnesses.

WINNIPEG, Manitoba, June 8, 2021 (LifeSiteNews) — The Premier of the Canadian province of Manitoba today officially launched an immunization card program for those who have “received both doses of a COVID-19 vaccine,” allowing the vaccinated freedom over those who choose not to get the experimental shots. The announcement comes a month after a source within the Manitoba government warned LifeSiteNews about it.

Those who sign up for Manitoba’s “immunization card” will have to self-isolate for a two-week period neither after returning to the province nor if they are said to have been a close contact to a person with a confirmed case of coronavirus.

“Manitobans have told us that getting back to the things they love and miss is one of the biggest incentives to getting vaccinated. As a government, we are doing everything we can to bolster vaccine availability and accessibility, and equipping Manitobans with the information and support they need to make the right decision to protect themselves, their loved ones and their community,” said Manitoba Premier Brian Pallister about the new immunization card in a press release sent out today.

Those with the cards will also be allowed to visit family in hospitals or other health care facilities. The card will be available to people who currently have a Manitoba health card, which is the only provincial health care insurance program available.

People who want the card must visit a specific government website, and “once someone has successfully completed the online request, they will automatically receive access to a digital card” in the form of a QR code.

A physical card can be requested, and those who want either a digital or paper card must wait at least two weeks after having their second shot.

Pallister made the announcement about the immunization card a day after the province’s top doctor, Dr. Brent Roussin, said his government will be releasing a form of “digital vaccine card” proof for those in his province, although he has yet to determine what exactly it will be used for.

Roussin said the “vaccine card” will allow Manitobans to “prove their vaccine status.”

“There is a sort of a vaccine, digital vaccine card or identifier that’s in the works, so Manitobans are going to have the availability to prove their vaccine status,” Roussin told reporters yesterday. “How that’s utilized within Manitoba that’s something yet to be determined.”
