Foreign Affairs Minister Marc Garneau has unblocked an independent online news outlet on Twitter after the outlet accused him of blocking in response to its coverage.

Garneau said on Twitter Wednesday that he had in fact blocked Ottawa-based Blacklock’s Reporter, but claimed that he “did not realize” it had happened.

Blacklock’s Reporter publisher Holly Doan called the block “silly,” noting she “previously admired” Garneau’s career.

“Minister (Garneau) blocks accredited Parliament Hill media organization, Blacklock’s Reporter,” Doan tweeted. “Have never met or interviewed (Garneau), only cited his remarks in committee or to reporters. Previously admired his career.”

The article from Blacklock’s revealed internal emails from staff at the National Microbiology Lab in Winnipeg, regarding scientists with suspect ties to the Chinese government.

In one email, former scientific director Dr. Matthew Gimlour stated that he had “concerns” about close ties between researchers at Canada’s only Level 4 lab and the Wuhan Institute of Virology and People’s Liberation Army-affiliated Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Two scientists, Kending Chang and Xiangguo Qiu to sent samples of the Ebola virus and Henipavirus to China’s Wuhan Institute of Virology.

“Thank you again for your strong support!” Wuhan officials told the scientists at the time.

Other emails also indicate that the Wuhan lab reached out to the Canadian lab for the samples.

“They are requesting material from us due to collaboration with Dr. Qiu,” a staff email indicates.

“Historically it’s also been easier to obtain material from us as opposed to U.S. labs.”

For some time now the Liberal government has refused to disclose documents regarding the two scientists’ activities despite repeated requests by the Conservatives and other opposition parties.

“We have a responsibility as a government to ensure we don’t jeopardize certain information that touches on privacy, that touches on commercial privacy, and that also touches on possible security implications,” said Garneau on Monday.

Ryerson Conservatives slam university, politicians after statue toppling

The student conservative group at Ryerson University is demanding action after a group of protesters topped the statue of university namesake Egerton Ryerson.

In a statement on Monday, Ryerson Conservatives condemned the school’s administration and police for not attempting to stop the toppling.

“On the 77th anniversary of D-Day – one of our nation’s most important and solemn days — the Egerton Ryerson statue that has stood for over 132 years was toppled by marxist vandals,” the statement reads.

“These criminals didn’t catch anyone by surprise. Their efforts were planned, publicized and noted by both the University and the Toronto Police before yesterday.”

Over the weekend the statue was toppled by protesters at the end of a large demonstration. Along with being desecrated, the head of the statue was apparently cut off and thrown in Lake Ontario.

University President Mohamed Lachemi has said the university will not replace the statue.

The head of the statue apparently turned up on Wednesday at an Indigenous protest site in Caledonia, Ont.

In a statement to True North, Ryerson Conservatives President Harrison Faulkner said that regardless of the club’s affiliation with the Conservative Party and the Ontario PC Party, the parties need to be condemned for their lack of action to protect historical figures.

“As the Ryerson Conservatives, it is our job to advance conservatism on our campus. That also means that we have to do what we can as students to conserve the identity of our university. Just because we are affiliated with the CPC and PC party, we must remain consistent and stand up to what’s happening on our campus,” he said.

“What kind of conservatives would we be if we just did nothing and watched the historical truth of our country be twisted and changed to fit a false narrative?”

Egerton Ryerson was largely responsible for the development of Upper Canada’s education system, having supported free education for children, school boards and standardized textbooks.

In 1847, Ryerson founded the Toronto Normal School on the site where Ryerson University now stands.

A research article published last month in the Journal of the American Psychoanalytic Association called whiteness “a malignant, parasitic-like condition.” That description, along with other language in the article, has caused public anger, and the backlash against the author was evident on social media.

The article, titled On Having Whiteness, was written by Dr. Donald Moss, a white man who is a faculty member of both the New York Psychoanalytic Institute and the San Francisco Center for Psychoanalysis.

In the article, Moss wrote that “‘white’ people have a particular susceptibility” to the “parasitic” condition, which he claims “renders its hosts’ appetites voracious, insatiable, and perverse.” He explained he believed whiteness establishes “entitled dominion” that enables the “host” to have “power without limit, force without restriction, violence without mercy,” and increases one’s drive to “terrorize.”

JBS, the world’s largest supplier of meat, paid $11 million in Bitcoin to ransomware hackers, The Wall Street Journal reported:

JBS USA Holdings Inc. paid an $11 million ransom to cybercriminals who last week temporarily knocked out plants that process roughly one-fifth of the nation’s meat supply, the company’s chief executive said.

The ransom payment, in bitcoin, was made to shield JBS meat plants from further disruption and to limit the potential impact on restaurants, grocery stores and farmers that rely on JBS, said Andre Nogueira, chief executive of Brazilian meat company JBS SA’s U.S. division.

“It was very painful to pay the criminals, but we did the right thing for our customers,” Mr. Nogueira said Wednesday in an interview with The Wall Street Journal. He added that the payment was made after the majority of JBS plants were up and running again.

JBS was hit with a ransomware attack two Sundays ago, threatening US meat supply.

One-fifth of US beef production was wiped out after JBS paused processing at five of its biggest beef plants which manage a total of 22,500 cattle per day.

The cyberattack on JBS comes just weeks after ransomware hackers shut down the Colonial Pipeline, creating gas lines and shortages.

The Justice Department on Monday announced it seized most of the $4.3 million in Bitcoin (75 BTC) ransom Colonial Pipeline paid to hackers.

Last Wednesday the FBI said Russian-linked “REvil and Sodinokibi” were behind the JBS hack:

Medical Advisors to CDC: ‘Higher Than Expected’ Number of Cases of Heart Problems in Young Adults and Adolescents Following Covid Vaccination

Last month it was reported the Centers for Disease Control was investigating potential heart problems in young adults and adolescents following Covid-19 vaccination.

The CDC said the mRNA ‘vaccines’ produced by Pfizer-BioNTech are ‘potentially’ causing the problem.

The FDA authorized the Pfizer gene therapy jabs for children as young as 12 earlier this month and now there are reports of myocarditis (inflammation of the heart muscle) in teens.

The reports of myocarditis in teens is more common in males and typically occurs after the second dose of the jab.

Vaccine advisors to the CDC are now saying there are a “higher-than-expected” number of cases of heart problems in young adults following Covid vaccination.

Of course the CDC is pushing back and said benefits from Covid-19 vaccination outweigh the risks “including risk of myocarditis or pericarditis.”

Vaccine advisers to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention say there has been a higher-than-expected number of cases of a heart ailment among young people, most often males, who’ve recently received their second doses of the Pfizer and Moderna Covid-19 vaccines.

The advisers’ statement, posted June 1 on the CDC website, strikes a different note from their statement about two weeks earlier, which said that the rates of myocarditis — inflammation of the heart muscle — were not higher among vaccinated people than among unvaccinated people. 

The June 1 report by a work group of the CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices states that within 30 days of receiving the second dose of either Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, “there was a higher number of observed than expected myocarditis/pericarditis cases in 16-24-year-olds.”

Dr. Cole recently sounded the alarm on Covid jabs during a radio interview.

“We’ve seen more deaths from this shot than all vaccines in the last 20 years combined — and that’s just in the first 4 to 5 months,” the Idaho doctor said during an appearance on Rose Unplugged 1320 WJAS.

A new study has found that the use of weight-adjusted hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) and azithromycin (AZM) improved the survival of ventilated COVID-19 patients by nearly 200 percent.

The observational study, which hasn’t yet been peer-reviewed, was based on a re-analysis of 255 patients on invasive mechanical ventilation (IMV) during the first two months of the pandemic in the United States.

The researchers found that when the HCQ–AZM combination was given at lower dosages to treat ventilated COVID-19 patients, the risk of death was more than three times higher.

“We found that when the cumulative doses of two drugs, HCQ and AZM, were above a certain level, patients had a survival rate 2.9 times the other patients,” the authors of the study noted.

“By using causal analysis and considering of weight-adjusted cumulative dose, we prove the combined therapy, >3 g HCQ and 1g AZM greatly increases survival in COVID patients on IMV and that HCQ cumulative dose > 80 mg/kg works substantially better.”

While the authors acknowledged that patients with higher doses of HCQ had higher doses of AZM, they “cannot solely attribute the causal effect to HCQ/AZM combination therapy.”

“However, it is likely AZM does contribute significantly to this increase in survival rate. Since higher dose HCQ/AZM therapy improves survival by nearly 200 [percent] in this population, the safety data are moot,” they added.

Hydroxychloroquine—an anti-inflammatory and anti-malarial drug—has been one of the most contested treatments for COVID-19 throughout the pandemic.

The drug was approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in 1955 to treat and prevent malaria. It’s also prescribed for lupus and rheumatoid arthritis.

While the FDA initially granted HCQ an emergency use authorization (EUA) to treat COVID-19 in March 2020, the agency revoked it on June 15, 2020, because data suggested it was “unlikely to be effective in treating COVID-19” and that its potential risks outweighed the benefits.

The FDA’s turnabout came on the heels of a study by Oxford University in the United Kingdom that found HCQ underperformed its routine treatment protocols.

“Unfortunately, problems in research methodologies assessing the effectiveness and risks of HCQ have left lingering doubts,” wrote Dr. Joseph Mercola, an osteopathic physician, in an op-ed for The Epoch Times. “Those problems include questionable dosing.”

Some, like Epoch Times contributor Roger L. Simon, have argued that studies around the use of HCQ to treat COVID-19 were politicized by opponents of former President Donald Trump, who advocated the use of the drug.

Here We Go Again: JBS "Paid" "Russian" "Hackers" $11 Million In Bitcoin To Resolve "Ransomware" Attack

There was a moment of sheer hilarity earlier today when, during a Congressional Hearing, the CEO of Colonial Pipeline Joseph Blount took the merely farcical episode of the Colonial Pipeline ransomware hack - when, as a reminder, a ragtag band of elite "Russian" hackers somehow managed to penetrate the company's cyberdefenses but was so stupid it left most if not all of the $4.4 million bitcoins it demanded in ransom in an easily traceable address for the FBI to track down and magically confiscate (it is still unclear how the Feds got the private key to access the "hackers" digital wallet) in days if not hours - and elevated it to a level of sheer ridiculous absurdity when he told Congress that he didn't consult the FBI before paying the ransom.

This, pardon the parlance of our times, is complete bullshit: either the CEO is lying or, worse, he is telling the truth and as some have speculated, he, the FBI and the "hackers" are all in on this so-called ransomware breach…

… a scenario which for now is yet another "conspiracy theory" and which we expect will become proven fact in the usual 6-9 months.

Yet just a few hours later, the exact same ridiculous narrative meant to achieve just one thing - tarnish the reputation of bitcoin further to the point where the US has to ban it - has struck again, and according to the WSJ last week's big hack, that of food processing giant JBS, was also resolved when the company paid $11 million - in bitcoin of course, because in this day and age one can't simply dump a suitcase full of cash or send a wire transfer to an incognito account - as ransom to the criminals (who will naturally soon be unveiled as Russians because of course) responsible for the cyberattack that halted the company's operations.

Yes, if this story seems identical to that of Colonial Pipeline, up to and almost matching the demanded ransom amount, it's because it is: so barren is the imagination of the administration's narrative writers that they can only regurgitate the same old story over and over.

The latest "shocking" attack on JBS has been part of a wave of bizarre incursions using ransomware, in which companies are hit with demands for multimillion-dollar payments to regain control of their operating systems. Some questions that remain unanswered is how the hell do these multi-billion dollar companies not have the most basic virus/malware protection to prevent some outsider - be it a 13 year old kid living in his mom's basement, some Ukrainian hacker, or the FBI - from getting access to the company's entire infrastructure and locking out the company itself. And then, this genius mastermind(s) is so stupid, they have no idea how to cover up their traces and promptly hand over the cash to the Feds.

Even more grotesque is that, as the WSJ notes, the attacks show how hackers have shifted from targeting data-rich companies such as retailers, banks and insurers to essential-service providers such as hospitals, transport operators and food companies. Because apparently instead of spending $29.95 on an anti-virus program, these various companies used the cash to buyback stonk.

According to the WSJ, the FBI last week attributed the JBS attack to REvil, a criminal ransomware gang, which of course comes from Russia, because - again - of course. Nogueira said that JBS and outside firms are conducting forensic analyses of its information-technology systems, and that it isn’t yet clear how the attackers accessed JBS’s systems.

What is clear is that in just a few days these crack Russian cybercommandos will have a few dozen bitcoins less when the FBI which organized the entire farcical affair confiscates it all.CONTINUE…

As their home page states, they “regulate the practice of medicine in Ontario. Physicians are required to be members to practice medicine in Ontario.”

In other words, CPSO is THE medical board. They run the show. If practicing doctors make a wrong move or say the wrong thing, CPSO is there to step on their faces and discipline them and even cancel their licenses to practice.

But now a new rebel group of Canadian MDs has emerged. Why? Because CPSO has issued a fascist edict threatening practicing doctors. Read the threat carefully.

College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario [CPSO] Statement on Public Health Misinformation (4/30/21):

“The College is aware and concerned about the increase of misinformation circulating on social media and other platforms regarding physicians who are publicly contradicting public health orders and recommendations. Physicians must not make comments or provide advice that encourages the public to act contrary to public health orders and recommendations. Physicians who put the public at risk may face an investigation by the CPSO and disciplinary action, when warranted. When offering opinions, physicians must be guided by the law, regulatory standards, and the code of ethics and professional conduct. The information shared must not be misleading or deceptive and must be supported by available evidence and science.”

In other words, delivering electric shocks to the brain. As a cure for “mental illness.” I call it torture.

Apparently, this treatment is just fine and dandy, but telling patients the COVID lockdowns are criminal is forbidden by the Nazi bureaucrats at CPSO. Saying the vaccine is dangerous is forbidden. Saying masks are useless and harmful is forbidden.

What would happen if these medical rebels, the Canadian Physicians for Science and Truth—say, 10,000 of them—took this war to the wall?

Practiced non-harmful medicine, kept warning their patients about the sociopathic COVID regulations and the vaccine, refused to knuckle under to the Nazi bureaucrats, even to the point of having their licenses stripped and going to jail?

A tender notice or Notice of Proposed Procurement (NPP) posted to the Public Services and Procurement Canada website on June 7 states that the CSBA already has three companies with experience in the biometrics field who are interested to set up the new “biometrics” office.

Recently, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau told reporters that travel restrictions will be eased for those who are fully "vaccinated.” The CSBA NPP was posted only shortly before this announcement.

“The Agency requires this organization to assist with the immediate establishment of an Office of Biometrics and Identity Management and to work with the Agency in researching, planning for and rapidly developing a strategy and roadmap related to the use of Digital solutions enabled by supporting technologies in biometrics, in response to the COVID 19 situation and other operational priorities,” reads the tender notice, which is active until June 21.

The tender notice goes on to note that the chosen “contractor” will bring its “knowledge, capabilities, and experience to support CBSA’s urgent need to establish a biometric strategy, biometric foundation and ultimately a Biometrics Authority (Centre of Excellence).”

Specifically, the CSBA is looking for the “contractor” to assist them in the “development of a comprehensive approach and plan to manage, evolve and adapt in using biometrics.”

The tender notice states that the “contractor” will help the CSBA to “deliver the mission of the agency while considering our interrelationship and joint ventures with other federal government departments and agencies and our international partners.”

A person’s biometric information can be in the form fingerprints or an eye scan, and unlike a paper credential are highly personal.

According to a Canadian Press report, Tamir Israel, who works at the Canadian Internet Policy and Public Interest Clinic in Ottawa, said that while he “welcomes” the use of biometrics, they can pose potential privacy risks.

“I am deeply concerned at the substantial increase in biometric use that this procurement document implies. Biometric recognition and identity can be highly intrusive, and we have seen significant pressure to adopt facial recognition technologies in particular at border crossings," said Israel.

The timing of the NPP for the creation of an “Office of Biometrics and Identity Management” comes only a week after the Canadian COVID-19 Testing and Screening Expert Advisory Panel said the federal government should look to begin work on a system to “validate proof of vaccination for arriving travelers as soon as possible.”

The panel recommended that Canada end its mandatory and controversial COVID-19 two-week quarantine hotel program.

This hotel quarantine program is currently the center of a lawsuit against the government on behalf of multiple parties who are being assisted by the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms (JCCF).

Canada’s says border restrictions to be eased for ‘fully vaccinated’

Today, Health Minister Patty Hajdu said that as soon as early July, Canadians who have had the full two doses of a COVID-19 shot do not have to quarantine for 14 days as long as they produce a negative test.

Intergovernmental Minister Dominic LeBlanc said Wednesday that Canadians can expect soon "more of an idea about” what is to come with the new rules, but the "vaccination is key.”

"The first phase we’re considering now is aimed at allowing fully vaccinated individuals who are authorized to enter the country to be able to cross the border without having to stay in a government-authorized accommodation," said LeBlanc

The news came only a day after Trudeau said Canada is looking to ease border restrictions, but only for those who had been “fully vaccinated.”

Canada Could Take In Some Central American Migrants to Help US: Minister

Canada is prepared to take in some Central American migrants to help the United States, which is grappling with an influx of migrants at its southern border with Mexico, Canadian Immigration Minister Marco Mendicino said.

In their first phone call since President Joe Biden's administration was sworn in, Mendicino and U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas last week discussed issues including Central American migration - an area where the Biden administration is struggling to gain control.

Canada wants to help, Mendicino told Reuters in an interview late Tuesday.

"I certainly think that we have the capacity within our existing levels plan to accommodate more refugees," he said.

Canada aims to resettle 36,000 refugees for 2021.

While Mendicino would not rule out accepting migrants in U.S. custody, his spokesperson said this was unlikely as Canada resettles refugees referred by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees. Mendicino would not say how many migrants Canada might take.

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Canada's offer to help comes as the number of migrants taken into custody at the U.S.-Mexico border has soared in recent months to the highest levels in two decades.

Vice President Kamala Harris, tasked with addressing Central American migration, was in Mexico and Guatemala this week to pursue solutions to the situation.

Mendicino said he and Mayorkas discussed "the road map to a renewed Canada-U.S. relationship," managing their shared border and achieving migration goals.

Canada has styled itself as a leader in refugee resettlement, even as it turns back asylum-seekers at its own border. Last year it took in about 40% of the total number of resettled refugees globally, or about 9,000.

"By having a plan as ambitious as we do around this, what we're signaling not only to the Americas but the world, is, Canada will continue to play a leadership role when it comes to resettling refugees," Mendicino added.

In its 2021 budget, Canada allocated C$80.3 million ($66.6 million) over two years to the Venezuelan migrant and refugee crisis.

Canada also wants to expand the Safe Third Country Agreement (SCTA), under which asylum-seekers trying to cross at ports of entry are turned back, so that it applies to the entire Canada-U.S. border.

This would affect people who cross irregularly, such as at Quebec's Roxham Road, a common destination for asylum-seekers avoiding the STCA.

"There was certainly a very strong sense between our two countries that this is a very valuable instrument, it is a very valuable agreement, because it does create the opportunity for additional cooperation," Mendicino said.

Cleveland Clinic Study: Natural Immunity as Effective as Vaccination

A recent study by the Cleveland Clinic analyzing more than 50,000 of its employees over five months found that those who had been infected with COVID-19 did not benefit from vaccinations. During the study, researchers found that not a single person who had been previously infected with the virus became ill.

According to a Life Sciences news report, the participants were divided into three groups. One group consisted of people who were previously infected and unvaccinated. The second group already had COVID-19 but received two doses of either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, and the third group were people who did not have COVID-19 but received their shots.A fourth, control group, never had COVID-19 and were not vaccinated.

The study, available in preprint and has not been peer reviewed, found that 99.3% of all infections occurred in participants who were not infected previously and were unvaccinated. Only 0.7% of COVID-19 illness appeared in those who didn’t have COVID-19 but received their vaccines. And amazingly, not a single infection was found among study subjects who were previously infected, with or without vaccination.

Researchers found that the duration of natural protection and immunity against COVID-19 remained strong for at least 10 months after infection. Experts point out that the study was performed during a period of vaccine shortage but provides useful information for countries still experiencing lack of supplies to combat COVID-19.

“What we don’t know is what’s the duration of protection? And also remember that our population of healthcare workers is younger in general, it’s healthier,” said Dr. Steve Gordon, of the Cleveland Clinic, one of the study authors. “We’re not saying don’t get the vaccine.”

Gordon pointed out that antibody response differs from person to person, so there is no way to accurately gauge someone’s immunity to COVID-19 based on previous infection. And infectious disease experts warn that natural immunity may not protect against the more aggressive variants emerging.

“Even though you’ve had COVID-19, it’s still very important for you to get the vaccine,” says Dr. Kristin Englund, an infectious disease expert, according to Health Essentials. “We know a small number of people can get COVID-19 a second time.”

Englund adds that the vaccine can boost your immune system so that even if you do encounter the virus again you are much less likely to become seriously ill.

Leaders rush to politicize tragedy in London, Ontario

On the evening of Sunday, June 6 in London, Ontario, a terrible tragedy occurred. A 20-year-old man drove a truck into a family out for a walk, killing four and seriously injuring a fifth. Initially reported as a traffic accident, police then updated that report the following day, describing the incident as an intentional act. The statement said investigators believed the attacker targeted these victims because of their Islamic faith.

On yesterday's episode of The Ezra Levant Show, Ezra shared his thoughts on this horrific crime. As numerous politicians rushed to London to score cheap political points, very little information is known about what exactly happened. Because of this lack of facts, Ezra was hesitant to provide political commentary, instead saying that:

This mass killing was an awful tragedy. It sounds like it was murder. And it certainly could be terrorism or motivated by anti-Muslim hatred. If so, throw the book at him — but in Canada, even if Trudeau has a really urgent tweet to make, we usually have the trial first before announcing a conviction.

We have to get along peacefully in Canada, and we have to eschew violence.

And I think that applies to everyone here — including an imam who got wild applause for blaming Israel at the otherwise touching memorial, while Canadian politicians of every party stayed quiet.

GraceLife takes Alberta Health to court to force return of barricaded church

Pastor James Coates, along with three congregants of GraceLife Church, have filed a court application against the Albertan authorities responsible for barricading their church in an effort to take back the property.

According to GraceLife's legal team,

The Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms today announced that GraceLife Church (Grace Life), Pastor James Coates, and three church congregants (the Grace Life Applicants) have filed a court application against Alberta Health Services (AHS), Health Minister Tyler Shandro, and Chief Medical Officer of Health, Deena Hinshaw, to force the government to return the building and grounds of the Church.

The church property was fenced off on April 7 when an Alberta Health Services closure notice that was issued to GraceLife in January was enforced by police.

GraceLife has been forced underground in recent months. The church had been holding weekly services that reached fire code capacity of over 600 people. Those capacity crowds were considered non-compliant with health edicts that limit attendance and enforce masks and social distancing.

Manitoba announces vaccine lottery with $2 million in prizes for ages 12+

Manitoba is hopeful to push residents to take a COVID-19 vaccine with a new lottery that is offering $2 million in cash and scholarships as potential prizes, Premier Brian Pallister announced on Wednesday.

“Vaccination is the fastest way to overcome COVID-19 and safely restore our services and activities,” Premier Pallister said. “Urgency is important. We need Manitobans to get vaccinated to protect each other and protect our health-care system. The sooner we get vaccinated, the sooner we can get our lives back. This lottery gives Manitobans even more reasons to roll up their sleeves — not once, but twice.”

Pallister's government plans to run two lottery draws over the summer. Manitobans aged 12 and up who have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine on or before August 2 will be eligible for the first draw, while those who are fully vaccinated on or before September 6 will have a chance to win the second draw.

The prizes that the province plans to give out include:

three prizes of $100,000 in the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority (excluding Churchill);

a $100,000 prize in each of the remaining regional health authorities: Prairie Mountain Health, Southern Health–Santé Sud, Interlake–Eastern Regional Health Authority and Northern Regional Health Authority (including Churchill); and

10 draws for $25,000 scholarships for young people aged 12 to 17 across the province, for a total of $250,000.

As for how the province intends to fund these rewards for vaccine recipients, Premier Pallister explained that the funds would be coming from “your two year old.” Responding to a question during a press conference, the premier explained that the province was borrowing money in an effort to end the pandemic.

“We just announced the largest deficit in Manitoba history here a few weeks ago,” the premier said. “So let's be honest, we've got to get out of this pandemic and the faster we do that the better. That's why we're after getting people vaccinated as quick as they can.”

Public Health doesn't know how many refused to stay at COVID hotels

The Trudeau Liberals don't know how many travellers entering Canada have refused to stay at designated COVID quarantine hotels, according to new documents.

Conservative MP Tony Baldinelli (Niagara Falls) requested information on COVID jail refusals in an order paper question, and found that just over 800 tickets have been handed out as of May 11, 2021.

With regard to the government's decision to require airline travellers arriving from outside of Canada to quarantine at a designated airport hotel:

(a) how many travellers refused to stay in a government approved quarantine hotel;

(b) how many fines or tickets were issued by the Public Health Agency of Canada related to the refusals in (a); and

Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) does not have a definitive number of travellers who have refused to stay in a Government-Authorized Accommodation (GAA), as ticketing practices vary among provinces.

At Least 815 COVID Hotel Refusal Tickets

In response to the question of how many fines or tickets were issued by the Public Health Agency of Canada related to the refusals:

As of May 11, 2021, at least 815 tickets have been issued to travellers for arriving in Canada without having booked a GAA and subsequently refusing to go to a GAA.

Ticket Breakdown By Airport: No Fines For Calgary?

Travellers entering Canada must land at one of four airports (Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto or Montreal), and the majority of tickets appear to have been handed out by federal or provincial authorities to people entering at Toronto's Pearson International.

According to the government's response, PHAC does not appear to have ticketed anyone arriving at Calgary International:

Of the 815 tickets issued, 194 were issued in British Columbia/Vancouver International Airport, and 621 in Ontario/Pearson International airport. PHAC has identified non-compliance with the GAA for 173 travellers who arrived at Montreal International airport, for the same time period (prior to May 11, 2021). Those files are going through the enforcement process in Québec, where tickets are issued by provincial prosecutors and not directly by PHAC or law enforcement.

Meet Scott Tulpin, who is currently residing in a Toronto shelter, something he calls a miserable experience. But this wasn’t always the case for Scott. Prior to the pandemic, he had his own apartment and was gainfully employed. But that all changed when the economy went into shutdown mode — despite Ontario being run by a premier who, in 2018, ran on the slogans of “For the People” and “Ontario: Open for Business.”

Well, Doug Ford’s business, Deco Labels, is apparently doing just fine cranking out all that COVID-19 signage and whatnot. But for thousands of Ontarians, the economic smackdown has been catastrophic. And that includes for Scott Tulpin.

We came across Scott near the Highway 401 offramp at Kennedy Road. Rather than begging for change, Scott was standing at the ramp with a sign that notes his contact information. He doesn’t want handouts. He doesn’t want CERB payments. He just wants to put in an honest day’s work and receive a salary — even if the payment is minimum wage. After all, Scott says he grew up on a farm, so he’s not adverse to hard work and long hours.

Scott says he’s had a few leads from passing motorists that, unfortunately, did not pan out for him.

But, disturbingly, he has also had people throw projectiles at him. These thuggish idiots are apparently upset that Scott’s sign also notes that he has a mask exemption and that he isn’t vaccinated. What a perverse message emanating from the COVID-Karen crowd — mask up and get the jab for your own personal safety. Or we shall try to inflict harm upon you. Yet more insanity in an increasingly insane world.

On Saturday, Pastor Tim Stephens’ Calgary church, Fairview Baptist, was effectively seized by Alberta Health Services. Authorities moved in during the early morning hours and changed all the locks on the building. Pastor Tim was not made aware of the seizure of the church until media outlets contacted him asking about the changing of the locks.

Pastor Tim immediately set to work arranging for a location to host worship on Sunday, and without fail, by Sunday morning worship proceeded without issues. I was fortunate to be able to attend worship at the confidential location, and despite having lost their church building, it was clear that the congregants were full of joy as they worshiped together.

Pastor James Coates’ GraceLife Church was also seized by authorities, so this now makes two churches, two privately owned buildings, being held hostage by overreaching bureaucrats. Many were quick to point out the absurdity of these closures, in light of the restriction violations by UCP officials that went unpunished at the Sky Palace in Edmonton the prior week.

On Wednesday afternoon, I met with Pastor Tim outside of his church for an interview. Protesters gather below Sky Palace, demand right to worship as they see fit

On Wednesday, the Battle for Canada Worship Protest took to the Legislature grounds to sing, pray, and join together in fellowship in defiance of the Alberta lockdown on places of worship. The event was put together by Pastor Art Lucier from Kelowna's Harvest Fellowship Church.

As of Wednesday night, Alberta was still in Stage 1 of the UCP government's “Open for Summer” plan, with worship services limited to 15 per cent of fire code capacity. On Thursday, Alberta moved into Stage 2, allowing in-person services at up to one third of capacity.

Though it was pouring rain, about 500 people met right outside the infamous Sky Palace — where Premier Jason Kenney was recently seen on the penthouse rooftop patio violating his own lockdown on social gatherings — to send a message to the government that church is essential. The rally was attended by People's Party leader Maxime Bernier, the Whistle Stop Cafe's Chris Scott and Dr. Roger Hodkinson.

Rebel News sent reporter Daniel Day into the crowd to ask them why they they felt it was important to risk a fine and get drenched to send a message to the government that churches must be open. The worship protest continues on Thursday.

Government deletes John A Macdonald biography following Toronto Star article

The Liberal government recently deleted a biography of Canada’s first prime minister Sir John A Macdonald after the Toronto Star flagged the webpage in an article.

As of Monday, Canadians trying to access Macdonald’s biography on Library and Archives Canada were met with an “error 404” page instead of an article about the former prime minister.

The Toronto Star first flagged the page in October in an article titled: “Want to know about John A. Macdonald’s racist past? Don’t ask the government of Canada.”

“Within hours of the Star requesting comment from the agency on Friday, notes appeared at the top of the Macdonald and Laurier biographies saying the pages had been ‘archived on the web,’” the article claimed.

A second article slamming the biography was published by the Toronto Star on June 5 revealing internal government debates about the biography’s lack of reference to Macdonald’s involvement in the residential schooling system.

Soon after, the page was completely removed from the Library and Archives Canada website.

According to an archived version of the biography, Macdonald is described as a “nation-builder” throughout the article.

“His role in creating Canada, and the realization of his dream to build a transcontinental railway, have fixed his place as a nation-builder in Canadian history,” wrote Library and Archives Canada.

“It was because of his role in Confederation that Macdonald was asked to be the first prime minister of the new Dominion government, a position he would hold almost continuously for the rest of his life. Macdonald’s first term in office was marked by nation building,” the article continued.

In recent weeks, activists have been calling for statues of Macdonald to be toppled and for places named after Canada’s first prime minister to be changed.

Most recently, Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island caved into demands by activists and quietly removed a public statue of Macdonald from its downtown core after a hurried evening vote on the matter.

A Calgary Catholic bishop is speaking out against Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s comments regarding the Church and residential schools.

Bishop Emeritus of the Calgary Diocese Most Rev. Fred Henry says the prime minister’s comments serve to deflect responsibility from the Canadian government.

Henry made the statements in an open letter to Trudeau.

“While acknowledging our own sorrow and guilt, and trying to own our sinfulness in the participation in residential schools, it is important to note the wording in our statement, especially the words, ‘participation in government policies,’” wrote Henry.

“Primary responsibility must be owned by the federal government.”

Since the apparent discovery of a suspected burial site near the former Kamloops Indian Residential School, the prime minister has publicly called on the Roman Catholic Church to accept responsibility for the incident.

“As a Catholic, I am deeply disappointed by the decision that the Catholic Church has taken now and over the past many years,” Trudeau said in a media interview.

Henry is not the only Church leader to publicly dispute the prime minister’s claims. Cardinal and Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Toronto Thomas Collins also labelled Trudeau’s comments as “unfair.”

“I think it’s much more helpful, as we’re all working on this long journey of reconciliation to work together, and not to be making these kinds of unfair attacks upon those who are trying their best to bring about and to work with all the Indigenous people for reconciliation” Archbishop Collins said.

In a recent appearance at the Ryerson Democracy Forum, Trudeau recounted a 2017 encounter with Pope Francis and lamented how the Catholic Church’s positions don’t line up with his and progressive views.

“I have to say as a Catholic, who, you know, is ever hopeful that the Catholic Church will come to terms with how for many Catholics our faith is really important to us but the distance we feel with the Church on many of its positions that don’t necessarily align with where we think we should be as a society, where we need to move forward,” said Trudeau.

“There’s always been a bit of a confliction for me as a person of faith with the Church but I continue to call myself a Catholic.”

A speaker at the vigil held for the Muslim family killed in an attack in London, Ontario linked the murders with the Israel-Hamas conflict.

An imam of London’s Islamic Centre of Southwest Ontario, Munir El-Kassem used his brief remarks to veer into foreign policy.

“There’s a reason why they say the world is a small village. Every country has a foreign policy,” El-Kassem said. “I just want to say, whatever is happening in Jerusalem and Gaza is related to whatever happened in London, Ontario. Period.”

The crowd could be heard cheering following El-Kassem’s remarks.

El-Kassem was the final speaker at the vigil, which was attended by the leaders of all the major federal and provincial political parties.

Canadian Jewish organizations, including the Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs (CIJA) and B’nai Brith Canada, condemned El-Kassem’s remarks.

“Linking this horrible crime to Jews or Israel is an irresponsible and inflammatory act,” B’nai Brith Canada said in a Twitter post.

In response to B’nai Brith Canada, El-Kassem said his words have been twisted.

“It has been painful to see my words twisted in a moment of incredible grief,” said El-Kassem in an Instagram post.

“I have only two things to say in response: 1) I will not be silenced by an organization that actively tried to prevent a motion acknowledging Islamophobia in the House of Commons, and has not apologized for that since. 2) Anyone who takes two minutes to listen to my response will understand what I said clearly – that the deaths of families here in London has (sic) happened too in Palestine. Our love and pain is universal. Any other interpretation is nonsensical and potentially defamatory.”

“This assertion is inflammatory and could lead to further antisemitism – particularly during a time when the Jewish community itself is still reeling from the violent assaults of the rallies held against Israel several weeks ago,” said human rights activist Avi Benlolo.

In its condemnation of El-Kassem’s remarks, CIJA also took aim at “conspiracy theories” circulating that the 20-year old charged with four counts of murder in connection with the attack is Jewish.

“At a time when false conspiracy theories (are) circulating about the attack being perpetrated by a Jew, this is incendiary and dangerous,” said CIJA in a tweet.

London police say the attack was premeditated and the victims were targeted because of their faith.

‘I believe a 12-year-old is not capable of making the decision to get a vaccine,’ one of the two 18-year-old high school students said.

SASKATOON, Saskatchewan, Canada, June 10, 2021 (LifeSiteNews) — A teenage boy was arrested twice as a consequence of his public stance against coercive promotion of COVID-19 vaccines to children.

The 18-year-old, whose full name is known to LifeSiteNews, prefers to be known as “Evan Freedom” in print.

Evan, a Grade 12 student at Nutana Collegiate, told LifeSite that a school official took him out of his classroom on the morning of May 20 and led him to an office where he was arrested and handcuffed by two officers from the Saskatoon Police Service. He was discretely spirited away through a back door, taken to a police station, fingerprinted, photographed, kept in a cell for more than six hours, and charged with one count of causing a disturbance (“by shouting”) and three counts of mischief over $5,000.

“I was absolutely stunned,” Evan said. “I couldn’t believe it.”

His youthful career as a freedom activist began last summer when he began looking into claims about the coronavirus. “It just seemed sketchy to me,” he said.

But Evan began going to anti-lockdown rallies and speaking out publicly against masks, lockdown restrictions, and the experimental COVID-19 vaccines only two months ago. In late April, he went to a freedom rally in Regina, Saskatchewan — his first. A few days later, he met another teenage freedom activist, 18-year-old Cody Kuntz, at a freedom rally specifically for children. They were two of the four kid speakers. Evan continued to go to freedom rallies in different Saskatchewan towns in early May. Then, on May 11, Evan, Cody, and a third boy took part in two protest actions that got them into trouble with police.

Spurred on by students at Saskatoon’s Tommy Douglas Collegiate, to whom Evan and Cody were talking about COVID-19 management, the boys took an experimental trip inside to see how teachers would react to them not wearing masks. Both Evan and Cody told LifeSiteNews that they were there for less than 4 minutes.

“All we did on that day [at Tommy Douglas] was to go speak to some kids outside and walk through the school,” Cody Kuntz told LifeSiteNews via email. “We were going to talk to some kids inside as well, which we never did because there were little to no kids inside. We were in there for about three minutes and 15 seconds. The principal, I believe it was, came running after my car taking pictures of my license plate.”

The boys next went across town to Pope John Paul II elementary school, where they stood across the street with signs encouraging drivers to “Honk for Freedom” and children — who under Saskatchewan’s “mature minor” COVID-19 vaccination provisions can choose to be inoculated without their parents’ consent — to “Just Say No.” A third sign asked, “Unmask the kids.”

“The police came and spoke to us and issued us a verbal warning telling us to not do it again, otherwise we could be charged and ticketed,” Cody told LifeSiteNews.

Evan identified one of the officers as Constable Amy; she was to be one of the officers who would arrest him.

“We then went back-and-forth with the police asking questions and having a conversation with them,” Cody continued. “The police then left and one officer sat a few hundred feet down in a patrol car and watched us. We were never asked to leave because we were not breaking the law.”

Cody confirmed that in less than a week and a half, Evan got arrested and that there was a warrant out for his own arrest. He turned himself in and was arrested on May 21.

“I have the same charges as him: three counts of mischief over $5,000 and one count of disturbing the peace by shouting,” he wrote.

Evan says that he was told later that three elementary schools were put into lockdown because of their protests; LifeSiteNews has not been able to establish that any schools were locked down.

One of the conditions for Evan’s release was that he not communicate with his friend Cody, “directly or indirectly”, a point Evan is quick to underscore, because attending the same rallies as Cody afterwards — they had stood back-to-back without speaking to each other, Evan said — led to his second arrest on May 28.

The official Twitter account of Ottawa Public Health went on a woke tirade on Twitter, accusing anyone skeptical of COVID-19 of being a “racist.”

On Thursday morning, the agency went on an incoherent rant, sending out 10 tweets that sought to tie together completely separate events, including COVID-19, lockdowns, Canada’s history of residential schools and an attack in London, Ontario that killed four members of a Muslim family.

“Racism exists in Canada. As do bigotry, misogyny & homophobia.Their impacts are there, if you’re willing to look,” Ottawa Public Health wrote.

“Please note that if you’ve never feared that you or your family might be the targets of racist acts, then please be mindful of the privilege you have.”

Ottawa Public Health made various claims about how racism allegedly affects public health, including that naming coronavirus variants after countries is derogatory against people from those countries

Ottawa Public Health went on to claim that skepticism of COVID-19 or its risk to public health is a form of white supremacy.

The agency even suggested that people responding to the rant with criticisms will be further evidence of white supremacy.

The agency ended by linking to a series of videos on its website on the topic of racism and how it may affect public health.

On Sunday, police say a man intentionally ran his vehicle to a Muslim family walking in London, Ont. Four members of the family died while a nine year-old boy was sent to hospital.

While many have labeled the incident as a terrorist attack, the motive has not yet been determined.

Late in May, investigators said that 215 human remains are buried at the grounds at the former Kamloops Indian Residential School. The results are preliminary and the company conducting the investigation plans to release a report this month.

“I would recommend to members of the Conservative Party in their zeal to make personal attacks, not start to push too far into intolerance towards Canadians of diverse origins,” Trudeau said in Question Period.

“We will continue to make sure that we are doing everything we can to keep Canadians safe while participating in the global research community and stand up for tolerance and diversity.”

Such remarks do a “disservice” to Asian Canadians, Tibetan activist Chemi Lhamo told the Canada-China committee.

“If you want to tackle anti-Asian racism, the first way to address that is by listening to the Asian voices in your country—your constituents,” said Lhamo.

“As an Asian woman, let me tell you, there is a bigger target on my back, and conflating the idea of anti-CCP with anti-Asian is much more or further disrespect to Asian folks. I say this because Asia is much larger than just China. There are 40 other different countries. Dr Ruby is asked if this was deliberate by the manufacturers and answers that this substance doesn't occur naturally. It had to be added into the vaccine.

OTTAWA, Ontario, June 10, 2021 (LifeSiteNews) – The Canadian government declared the months from June to September as “Pride Season,” claiming that one month of celebrating homosexuality and transgenderism “isn’t enough.”

In the past decade or so, homosexual activists and now governments around the world have declared June to be “pride” month, dedicated to the LGBT movement, complete with parades and celebrations. According to Free to be me, a Canadian government account in charge of “sexual orientation and gender identity and expression issues,” June now marks the beginning of “Pride Season,” which lasts until September.

The Canadian Department of National Defense announced that they will be raising the “pride” flag mid-June to begin “Pride Season.” They also encouraged Canadians to send in videos wishing the country a “Happy Pride Season.”

According to Mister B&B, an LGBTQ social networking website, Canadian cities including Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal, and Calgary are planning to hold events.  

June began with an increase in LGBT-themed content aimed at young children. A popular children’s network, Nickelodeon, published a show featuring a drag queen explaining the meaning behind the “pride” flag. Nickelodeon also featured an episode of the children’s show Blue’s Clues wherein a drag queen hosted a parade for gay, transgender, and non-binary animal creatures.

In response, Derek Utley, a conservative political commentator, tweeted and called for parents to “cancel Nickelodeon now!” He continued, “This is what they are pushing on your kids folks.”

After tweeting to announce the launching of “Pride Season,” Free to be me published a follow-up tweet threatening to “remove or delete comments and contributions that are homophobic, defamatory and hateful, and to block users who do not respect our terms of use.”

Recently in Canada, the LGBT movement has been growing and expanding their propaganda. For example, in Ontario, a Catholic school decided to fly the homosexualist rainbow flag, causing two trustees to resign.

Meanwhile, on June 6, the anniversary of D-Day, the official account for Canada’s government failed to mention the courageous Canadian soldiers who fought on the beaches of Normandy.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced Thursday that it will convene an “emergency meeting” of its advisers on June 18th to discuss rare but higher-than-expected reports of heart inflammation following doses of the mRNA-based Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines.

So far, the CDC has identified 226 reports that might meet the agency’s “working case definition” of myocarditis and pericarditis following the shots, the agency disclosed Thursday. The vast majority have recovered, but 41 had ongoing symptoms, 15 are still hospitalized, and 3 are in the intensive care unit.

The reports represent just a tiny fraction of the nearly 130 million Americans who have been fully vaccinated with either Pfizer or Moderna’s doses.

The CDC previously disclosed that reports of heart inflammation were detected mostly in younger men and teenage boys following their second dose, and that there was a “higher number of observed than expected” cases in 16- to 24-year-olds. Last month, the CDC urged providers to “ask about prior COVID-19 vaccination” in patients with symptoms of heart inflammation.

“Risk-benefit considerations to determine whether to issue an emergency use authorization for use of a COVID-19 vaccine into healthy pediatric individuals will need to account for this information, and risk-benefit consideration will likely be different, not only compared to those for adults, but also they may be different for younger versus older pediatric groups,” Dr. Marion Gruber, director of the FDA’s vaccine office, said at the meeting.

What’s your take on this?

Doug Casey: Frankly, I didn’t expect things would get quite this out of control.

Nobody could be sure what to make of Covid early in 2020, but it certainly got a lot more publicity than any previous flu. The original refrain was, “We just want to flatten the curve so that everybody doesn’t get it all at once.” That kind of made sense—for two weeks. But the hysteria has risen to a level where carts should go through the streets with the drivers calling, “Bring out your dead! Bring out your dead!”

I’m not a conspiracy guy. I think it’s hard enough getting a few friends to agree on what movie to see and where to go to dinner. How much harder to get thousands of miscreants to collaborate on practically destroying the world economy? But the “pandemic” seemed orchestrated from the very beginning, with practically every country in the world locking down. Even though it was established early on—but rarely reported—that the sickness only attacked the old, the sick, and the obese.

It was very suspicious. The Hong Kong flu, the Asian flu, the swine flu, the bird flu, and various other viral infections came and went the way viruses do. They spread, took casualties, and disappeared. Inconvenient and unpleasant, but a part of life. Why and how did this illness in particular turn into such a hysteria, even though it only affected a small and easily isolated portion of the population? Even though it’s not even remotely comparable to the Spanish Flu of 1918–19.

I suspect it’s very rare to even meet somebody who knows an otherwise healthy person that has been seriously harmed by the Covid. I’ve met a number of people that have had Covid; it made them sick for a day or two or three; now, they’re as good as new. This is the way that it typically works with viral infections. The media loudly reports infections, but infections are meaningless if they’re asymptomatic or trivial.

It’s also strange that this infection is supposed to be easily transmissible. They said everybody would catch it. Unless they wore masks and isolate themselves, they’d die. But frankly, very few people—other than the elderly confined to nursing homes—seem to have gotten it, and the ones that do get it typically have a mild case. Frontline medical personnel certainly haven’t been decimated. It appears to be a grossly overblown hysteria generated by opportunists in the media and government.

My guess is that in the years to come Covid will be viewed as one of history’s greatest scandals. A big nothing was foisted upon society for no good reason or perhaps perpetrated for nefarious reasons. Canadians should be among the most embarrassed.

OTTAWA, Ontario, June 9, 2021 (LifeSiteNews) – The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) says it has an “urgent” need to create an “Office of Biometrics and Identity Management” that could be used to verify the vaccine status of all Canadian and foreign travelers who enter the country.

A tender notice or Notice of Proposed Procurement (NPP) posted to the Public Services and Procurement Canada website on June 7 states that the CSBA already has three companies with experience in the biometrics field who are interested to set up the new “biometrics” office.

Recently, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau told reporters that travel restrictions will be eased for those who are fully “vaccinated.” The CSBA NPP was posted only shortly before this announcement.

“The Agency requires this organization to assist with the immediate establishment of an Office of Biometrics and Identity Management and to work with the Agency in researching, planning for and rapidly developing a strategy and roadmap related to the use of Digital solutions enabled by supporting technologies in biometrics, in response to the COVID 19 situation and other operational priorities,” reads the tender notice, which is active until June 21.

The tender notice goes on to note that the chosen “contractor” will bring its “knowledge, capabilities, and experience to support CBSA’s urgent need to establish a biometric strategy, biometric foundation and ultimately a Biometrics Authority (Centre of Excellence).”

Specifically, the CSBA is looking for the “contractor” to assist them in the “development of a comprehensive approach and plan to manage, evolve and adapt in using biometrics.”

The tender notice states that the “contractor” will help the CSBA to “deliver the mission of the agency while considering our interrelationship and joint ventures with other federal government departments and agencies and our international partners.”

A person’s biometric information can be in the form fingerprints or an eye scan, and unlike a paper credential are highly personal.

According to a Canadian Press report, Tamir Israel, who works at the Canadian Internet Policy and Public Interest Clinic in Ottawa, said that while he “welcomes” the use of biometrics, they can pose potential privacy risks.

“I am deeply concerned at the substantial increase in biometric use that this procurement document implies. Biometric recognition and identity can be highly intrusive, and we have seen significant pressure to adopt facial recognition technologies in particular at border crossings,” said Israel.

The timing of the NPP for the creation of an “Office of Biometrics and Identity Management” comes only a week after the Canadian COVID-19 Testing and Screening Expert Advisory Panel said the federal government should look to begin work on a system to “validate proof of vaccination for arriving travelers as soon as possible.”

The panel recommended that Canada end its mandatory and controversial COVID-19 two-week quarantine hotel program.

This hotel quarantine program is currently the center of a lawsuit against the government on behalf of multiple parties who are being assisted by the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms (JCCF).
