Scientist At Center Of Lab-Leak Controversy Put In Charge Of The Lancet's Task Force To Investigate COVID Origin

Revered scientific journal The Lancet has created a ‘task force’ to investigate the origins of the coronavirus that caused a global pandemic, yet it has decided to employ as it’s leader the very guy who funded the dangerous gain of function research at the Wuhan lab and subsequently allegedly ‘bullied’ other scientists into avoiding looking into the lab as a potential source of the outbreak.

In the wake of renewed scrutiny of the lab leak hypothesis, the Lancet’s task force will reportedly “focus on analyzing data on all of the theories put forward on the origins of COVID, on the reasons why SARS-CoV-2 was able to break out of Wuhan and spread globally, and on the most plausible strategies to prevent future pandemics.”

It also states that “The Task Force will review thoroughly and objectively all publicly available evidence, particularly the peer-reviewed literature, and conduct interviews with key leaders in science, medicine, policy and civil society.”

‘Objectively’. Right.

Dr Peter Daszak, who is heading up this task force, is perhaps the least suitable scientist on the planet to objectively analyse the data, given his track record.

Daszak, as President of the EcoHealth Alliance, shovelled at least $600,000 to the Wuhan Institute of Virology in the past few years to play around with coronaviruses inside the lab through the now infamous ‘gain of function’ research.

Senior AfD figure and Euro MP Gunnar Beck said a strong election result would prove a useful weapon in his party’s battle against the European Union’s controversial proposed Pact on Migration and Asylum that looks to enlist its members in a centrally-run redistribution of asylum seekers across the bloc.

“I have myself been working on the EU migration pact for some time and for me the enactment of such a pact would be disastrous,” Beck told RT.com. “Because the EU not too long ago was talking about importing up to 70 million Africans into Europe by 2035. In my humble opinion this is not what we need to modernise our economy.

“And while the figure seems high, when the members of our migration pact campaign - including delegates from Denmark, Estonia, France and Belgium – met with the Commission just last year, that migration figure was brought up but no one at the Commission chose to deny it. “

That suggestion of actively encouraging inward migration to the EU has been floating around Brussels for a while, as governments across the bloc look at ways to address the phenomenon known as the ‘greying of Europe’ where ageing populations aged 65 or older and low birthrates pose ‘considerable social, economic and political challenges in countries such as Germany and Italy’ according to the Pew Research Center, a Washington-based think tank.

Report Shows Facebook’s Fact Checking Actually “Amplifies” Spread of Misinformation

Everyone reading this article right now has likely experienced or knows someone who has experienced some form of social media censorship. Whether your entirely peaceful post received a “fact check” label, or was “removed for violating community guidelines” or you were unceremoniously silenced for life, Facebook and Twitter censorship affects millions. Do you think that Joe Sixpack, who was unemployed for a year during the lockdowns, who thinks the election was stolen from him, and who was just censored into oblivion in the last year — removing any public outlet of expression — is simply going to throw his arms up and say, “oh well, I guess that’s it, I’ll stop now” and it will be over?

US-linked Chinese military scientist filed patent for COVID vaccine just after contagion emerged: report

A Chinese Communist Party military scientist who got funding from the National Institutes of Health filed a patent for a COVID-19 vaccine in February last year — raising fears the shot was being studied even before the pandemic became public, according to a new report.

Zhou Yusen, a decorated military scientist for the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) who worked alongside the Wuhan Institute of Virology as well as US scientists, filed a patent on Feb. 24 2020, according to documents obtained by The Australian.

The patent — lodged by the “Institute of Military Medicine, Academy of Military Sciences of the PLA” — was filed just five weeks after China admitted there was human-to-human transmission of the virus, and months before Zhou died under mysterious circumstances, the report noted.

“This is something we have never seen achieved before, raising the question of whether this work may have started much ­earlier,” Prof. Nikolai Petrovsky from Flinders University told the paper.

Adding to the intrigue, Zhou later died under mysterious circumstances in May last year — something being looked into as part of the international investigation ordered by President Biden, the paper insisted.

Despite being an award-­winning military scientist, there were no reports or tributes, with him just listed as “deceased” in a Chinese media report in July and a December scientific paper.

Before working for the PLA, Zhou had strong ties to the US, doing postdoctoral research at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and collaborating with the New York Blood Center, the report said.

Zhou worked closely with the Wuhan lab at the heart of increasing international focus over its possible links to the pandemic, as well as its now-notorious “bat woman” lead scientist, Shi Zhengli, the report said.

The close working relationship between the pair supports declassified US intelligence released in January that said the Wuhan lab was conducting “secret military activity,” The Australian said.

“Despite the WIV presenting itself as a civilian institution, the United States has determined that the WIV has collaborated on publications and secret projects with China’s military,” the intelligence stated.

Indian police seize 6 kilos of uranium, arrest 7 as anti-terrorism probe reportedly launched

Police in India’s northeastern district of Bokaro, Jharkhand, have arrested seven people who were allegedly trying to sell uranium. The incident is being investigated by counter-terrorism officers, according to local media.

On Thursday, Bokaro Police Superintendent Chandan Kumar Jha said officers seized 6 kilos of the highly radioactive material following raids at different locations in the district.

The uranium, which at high purities can be used to make nuclear weapons, will be sent off for analysis by forensic experts.Seven mobile phones and a motorbike were also seized, police said.

All seven suspects have been remanded in custody after two days of questioning.

The matter has now been referred to India’s National Investigation Agency, which is working with local police, according to multiple local media.

The Jagran news site also reported that the uranium was contained in small packets that had allegedly been procured from the US by a dealer based in Jharkhand.

Police are said to be hunting one man who is reported to have distributed the packets among the suspects for selling

The Aaj Tak news site put the international market value of the seized uranium at several ‘crores’ of rupees – an amount equivalent to hundreds of thousands of US dollars.

The uranium seizure is the second such incident in India in less than a month, after the Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad confiscated more than 7 kilos of uranium in the western state in early May.

Two men were arrested over that $2.9 million uranium haul, which was also intended for the market, police said.

One of the suspects, an alleged uranium dealer, was arrested in Mumbai as he tried to sell the material, according to investigators.

FBI Director Christopher Wray compares the surge in ransomware attacks to the 'challenges' of 9/11 because it impacts every American and says a 'huge portion' traces back to Russia

FBI Director Chris Wray compared the national security implications of the ransomware attacks to the terrorist attacks of September 11th, saying both affect every American.

'There are a lot of parallels, there's a lot of importance, and a lot of focus by us on disruption and prevention,' Wray told The Wall Street Journal in an interview. 'There's a shared responsibility, not just across government agencies but across the private sector and even the average American.'

Wray's comments come after a Reuters report the Justice Department is elevating investigations of ransomware attacks to a similar priority as terrorism.

There have been a series of high profile hits: On Tuesday there was on against JBS USA, a unit of the world's largest meat processing company; last month Colonial Pipeline paid the nearly $5 million ransom after hackers shut down its gas pipeline; and last year's Solar Winds hack that is believed to have infected multiple agencies of the US government.

As a result of the attacks both gas prices and meat prices have spiked.

Wray said that served as a wake up call for Americans.

'Now realizing it can affect them when they're buying gas at the pump or buying a hamburger - I think there's a growing awareness now of just how much we're all in this fight together,' he said.

The FBI director also revealed his agency was investigating roughly 100 different variants of ransomware as attacks as both the US government and private companies struggle to deal with the cyber attacks.

'The scale of this problem is one that I think the country has to come to terms with,' he said.

Wray singled out Russia as harboring those who use ransomware and called on that government to do something about it.

'Time and time again, a huge portion of those traced back to actors in Russia. And so, if the Russian government wants to show that it's serious about this issue, there's a lot of room for them to demonstrate some real progress that we're not seeing right now,' he said.

President Joe Biden has vowed to bring up the ransomware attacks when he meets with Russian President Vladimir Putin later this month.

Israeli Commander: Gaza Attacks First Stage of Wider War

Says Israel tried to 'make the most' of war so far

Israeli Southern Command head Gen. Eliezer Toledano downplayed the current ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, predicting it would end soon and that what’s happened so far was just the first stage of a wider military campaign.

The May conflict saw Israeli forces kill an estimated 256 Palestinians, and displace 72,000 civilians. This was in just two weeks, and was, according to Toledano, Israel trying to “make the most” of the war before the ceasefire.

“We don’t have operations like this every week or every month because we understand the burden that puts on civilians, especially on the home front. And therefore when we launched the operation, we had to make the most of it,” the general noted.

He went on to say that the military is fully ready for another round of fighting, depending on the security situation.

Other Israeli officials have been hyping the war so far as a huge success, while Toledano called to avoid “hasty comments.” He said that the wars “are complicated in terms of the rockets.”

UN Complicates Afghan Pullout With Allegations of al-Qaeda Ties

Says Taliban, al-Qaeda have sense of 'shared partnership'

Officials in Afghanistan’s Ghani government have long tried to slow the US pullout with claims that the Taliban is cheating, and the UN’s latest report seems to be continuing in complicating matters with dubious allegations.

In this case, the UN claimed that the Taliban and al-Qaeda not only have “bonds of marriage,” but also a shared partnership through a generation of struggle against the US-led occupation. This claim doesn’t appear to be backed by any evidence.

Indeed, it flies in the face of the Taliban statements instructing members not to cooperate with al-Qaeda or its members. Claims that the Taliban are violating this warning seem unfounded, but keep being brought up, complicating the US pullout.

Despite the deal to leave Afghanistan having been made some time ago, constant accusations have allowed US officials, particularly those averse to leaving, to treat the matter as though it was still being debated. This has already led to the US reneging on the May 1 pullout date.

Prolonging the US presence has led to increased attacks across Afghanistan, and growing mistrust from the Taliban. Indeed, if the generation of struggle was driving the Taliban and al-Qaeda together, these equivocations seem to risk doing yet more of that.

Pence says he may never see 'eye to eye' with Trump on Jan. 6 riot

Pence said he and the former president still talk to each another.

Former Vice President Mike Pence says he may never see "eye to eye" with former President Trump about the Jan. 6 Capitol breach.

Pence made the comment Thursday at a dinner hosted by the Hillsborough County Republican Committee in New Hampshire, his second public speaking event since leaving office, according to CNN.

"I don't know if we'll ever see eye to eye on that day," he said. "January 6 was a dark day in the history of the United States Capitol."

Pence was in the Capitol building the day of the breach to certify the results to the 2020 presidential election won by Democrat Joe Biden. Pence's duties were largely ceremonial. But Trump argued Pence could have stop the certification of the state election results, several of which, he said, were the result of voting fraud that cost him reelection.

Pence proceeded nevertheless with the Jan. 6 certification and was reportedly forced, along with family members, to hide from the intruders, include some looking specifically for him, then move to safe place.

He also said he and Trump have "spoken many times since we left office" and that he "will always be proud of what we accomplished for the American people over the last four years."

Cornell University To Proceed With Controversial China Partnership

University moves forward on lucrative partnership over faculty objections

Cornell University is moving forward with a controversial multimillion-dollar partnership with a state-run Chinese university, overruling objections from professors and students about the regime's human rights abuses.

Provost Michael I. Kotlikoff and several Cornell committees signed off on the program, which will coordinate Cornell's School of Hotel Administration with Peking University. The decision by Cornell, which is slated to earn around $1 million each year from the program, comes in the face of stout opposition to the partnership by both students and faculty. Magnus Fiskesjö, a Cornell professor of anthropology, accused the university of ignoring China's genocidal treatment of Muslim Uyghurs.

"I am profoundly disappointed that our university administration chose to override the student assembly and the faculty Senate," Fiskesjö told the Washington Free Beacon. "I am disappointed with our university's failure to express any concern for the mass racist atrocities now being committed by the Chinese government, which runs the entities we are collaborating with in China—Peking University is governed by the same Communist Party that runs the genocide."

A spokeswoman for Cornell did not comment on faculty and student criticism, instead directing the Free Beacon to the announcement of the program in Cornell's in-house public relations outlet, the Chronicle. Administrators said Cornell is "seeking to strengthen global academic connections across political and cultural differences." Wendy Wolford, Cornell's vice provost for international affairs, alluded to complaints from professors and human rights activists but pledged to protect academic freedom in the program.

"We understand that these are complicated times, and important questions," Wolford said in a statement. "We care deeply about academic freedom and academic integrity, and building these relationships in ways that are very positive."

Richard Bensel, a professor of government at Cornell, said he does not trust the assurances from campus administrators. The lucrative partnership could compromise free inquiry.

"We expect that, given the willingness of the Chinese government to provide sizable monetary incentives for Cornell's participation in this and additional collaborative programs, there will be more of them and that they will be imposed even if, as seems very likely, they are rejected by the faculty Senate," Bensel said.

Bensel is not alone. Eli Friedman, a professor of industrial and labor relations at Cornell, also expressed disdain at the administration's decision. He called the decision a "debacle" on social media and disputed Cornell's claims of positive partnership, stating that Peking University "has recently kidnapped their own students for their political views."

"This is a particular form of engagement, one that happens to please US trustees and [Chinese Communist Party] censors alike," he said.

CBP Officers Arrest Two Men Wanted For Sexual Assault of a Child

EL PASO, Texas – U.S. Customs and Border Protection Officers working at the El Paso port of entry arrest two men sought for sexual assault of a child.

The first arrest was made May 29 at the Paso Del Norte border crossing when a 68-year-old United States citizen presented himself for inspection via pedestrian. Routine system checks revealed an outstanding warrant for his arrest from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department for Sexual Assault of a Child.

On June 2, a citizen of Mexico, who had been previously deported from the United States, presented himself as a pedestrian at the Paso Del Norte border crossing. The man informed CBP Officers that he arranged to turn himself in with the El Paso Police Department for an active warrant. CBP Officers ran a routine system check and received confirmation that the man had an active warrant for Sexual Assault of a Child issued by the El Paso Police Department.

“CBP works closely with our law enforcement partners to apprehend fugitives from justice” said CBP Director of Field Operations Hector A. Mancha. “Partnership among law enforcement agencies is critical in protecting our communities.”

Both subjects were arrested by CBP Officers and turned over to local authorities to face charges associated with the warrants.

US Sanctions Bulgarian Oligarchs, Public Officials for Corruption

The United States sanctioned three Bulgarian oligarchs and 64 related entities for their “extensive roles” in corruption, and for “abusing” public institutions for profit, the U.S. Department of Treasury said on Wednesday.

The latest designations constitute the “largest Global Magnitsky action taken on a single day in the history of the program” which targets perpetrators of serious human rights abuse and corruption around the world, a Treasury statement announcing the sanctions added.

One of the sanctioned oligarchs is media magnate and former Bulgarian Member of Parliament Deylan Peevski, who has been the subject of several investigations by OCCRP partner and Bulgarian investigative journalism outlet Bivol. One of the stories uncovered his US$700 million offshore empire.

Peevski was found to have “regularly engaged in corruption, using influence peddling and bribes to protect himself from public scrutiny and exert control over key institutions and sectors in Bulgarian society,” the Treasury statement said.

“In September 2019, Peevski actively worked to negatively influence the Bulgarian political process in the October 27, 2019 municipal elections. Peevski negotiated with politicians to provide them with political support and positive media coverage in return for receiving protection from criminal investigations,” it explained.

Also sanctioned is the former deputy chief of Bulgaria’s State Agency for Technical Operations, Ilko Dimitrov Zhelyazkov, who worked as a frontman for Peevski to, among other things, bribe government officials in exchange for information and loyalty.

“Peevski and Zhelyazkov also had an official placed in a leadership position to embezzle funds to them in 2019,” the statement said, adding that “Zhelyazkov also blackmailed a potential Bulgarian government minister with criminal charges from Bulgaria’s Prosecutor General’s office if the minister did not provide him further assistance upon appointment.”

Bulgarian oligarch Vassil Kroumov Bojkov also joins the list for bribing government officials, including an unnamed “current political leader.” He has previously been charged in Bulgaria for “leading an organized crime group, coercion, attempted bribery of an official, and tax evasion,” but in Dubai has managed to evade extradition, despite an international arrest warrant that remains active.

In a separate statement, the U.S. State Department announced more sanctions on five Bulgarian public officials, including Deputy Minister of the Economy Alexandre Manolev who Bivol found abused European Union funds to build a villa used privately by Manolev and his family.

“Today’s actions reaffirm our commitment to supporting rule of law and strengthening democratic institutions in Bulgaria. The United States stands with all Bulgarians whose work drives reforms forward, and the Department will continue to use its authorities to promote accountability for corrupt actors in the region and globally,” the State Department said.

HSI, CBP El Paso: Drug trafficking networks recruiting smugglers on Facebook

EL PASO, Texas — Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Office of Field Operations (OFO), have identified the increased use of social media platforms such as Facebook, by transnational criminal organizations (TCOs), to recruit and facilitate drug smuggling in the El Paso area.

The TCOs advertise various jobs such as money couriers for money service businesses such as Casas De Cambio, or money exchange houses, and unsuspecting job seekers reply with their interest to the advertisement. The solicitor, or “recruiter,” will then send a direct message to the job seeker with more information about the job.

For example, recruitment advertisements HSI special agents have spotted on Facebook may read as follows: “Our company is looking for individuals who are able to cross into El Paso. We work directly with the Casas de Cambio and transport money from El Paso to Ciudad Juarez (Mexico).”

The recruiter will reassure the job seekers that everything is legal. The recruiter will request an “interview” with the job seekers in Ciudad Juarez to explain the job in further detail.

The reality is that members of the TCO will take the job seeker’s vehicle and conceal narcotics within it. The unsuspecting individuals will pick up their vehicles and are instructed to cross through one of the El Paso ports of entry. Once they have crossed into the United States, they are instructed to call the recruiter to pick up the vehicle.

HSI advises job seekers to research the name and address of the company that is recruiting them. Legitimate businesses neither conduct interviews in parking lots nor do they take custody of a potential employee’s vehicle. Job seekers should also obtain the employer’s information and ask for company identification.

“Individuals caught with contraband in their vehicles trying to enter the United States risk being arrested and convicted,” said Erik P. Breitzke, special agent in charge of HSI El Paso. “HSI will continue to work jointly with CBP to intercept and prevent drugs from coming into the country and poisoning our communities. Do not allow yourself to be used as a smuggler.”

CBP reminds the traveling public that when a driver presents themselves at a port of entry, they are responsible for all items found in the vehicle and charged if illegal or prohibited goods are located during the inspection process. Any offer to drive a vehicle on the behalf of another should be met with suspicion.

Iranian Military Advisor Among 14 Killed In New Attacks By ISIS Cells In Central Syria

ISIS cells in Syria’s central region have carried out three new attacks against government forces and their allies in Homs and Deir Ezzor.

On June 3, ISIS terrorists ambushed an Iranian military advisor on the Homs-Deir Ezzor highway. According to Iranian sources, the advisor, Hassan Abdullahzadeh, was killed in the ambush along with his guard Mohsen Abbasi.

The terrorists didn’t stop there. Early on June 4, they attacked posts of the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) in the outskirts of the town of al-Sukhnah in eastern Homs.

According to the London-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, seven personnel of the SAA, including a Bridger General, were killed as a result of the attack. ISIS also lost three of its fighters.

At around the same time, ISIS cells attacks posts held by pro-government forces in Faydat Abu Muin’a in western Deir Ezzor. Five pro-government fighters and two terrorists were killed in the attack, which saw the use of rockets and other heavy weapons.

These attacks will likely provoke a fierce response by the SAA and the Russian Aerospace Forces. Earlier this week, more than 110 Russian and Syrian airstrikes targeted ISIS hideouts in the central region.

The terrorist group’s attempt to expand its influence and establish new strongholds in central Syria have been a failure, so far. Nevertheless, the fight against the group’s cells is still far from being over.

“Dr. Fauci also didn’t put an emphasis on speed of vaccine production because he thought it would take 3, 4, or maybe even 5 years to create,” Trump continued. “I got it done in less than 9 months with Operation Warp Speed. In retrospect, the vaccine is saving the world.”

“Then, I placed the greatest bet in history. We ordered billions of dollars worth of vaccines before we knew it even worked. Had that not been done, our wonderful vaccines would not have been administered until October of this year. No one would’ve had the shot that has now saved the world and millions of lives!” Trump added.

Trump also slammed Fauci’s mixed messages on masks. “Also, Dr. Fauci was totally against masks when even I thought they would at least be helpful,” Trump said. “He then changed his mind completely and became a radical masker!”

Finally, Trump addressed the NIH funding of the Wuhan Institute of Virology, which was conducting gain-of-function research. “The funding of Wuhan by the U.S. was foolishly started by the Obama Administration in 2014 but ended under the Trump Administration. When I heard about it, I said ‘no way.'”

“What did Dr. Fauci know … and when did he know it?” Trump asked.

How odd. In late April, an anti-lockdown protest took place in Peterborough, Ont. that featured People’s Party of Canada leader Maxime Bernier and Ontario MPP Randy Hillier as the keynote speakers. Hundreds attended this peaceful rally, but even before it began, Peterborough Mayor Diane Therrien made it clear that such opinions were not welcome in her city.

So it was that this Her Wokeness stated the following prior to the rally:

It was a joyous occasion — until Bernier and Hillier left the podium. That’s because both were promptly intercepted by members of the Peterborough Police Service and given tickets for the egregious crime… of speaking in a public park?

Imagine that? Elected politicians being given tickets for exercising their right to free speech in 2021 Canada?

The mood in the park turned livid, as Peterborough cops endured a deluge of expletives and middle fingers as they handed out tickets.

India: 9,346 Children Abandoned, Orphaned, Lost a Parent to COVID-19: NCPCR Informs SC

The court had directed the district authorities to upload information about the number of children across India, who are in dire need of protection

On May 28, the Supreme Court had directed all district authorities to upload information of children who have been orphaned after March 2020 on the national portal of National Commission for Protection of Child Rights called Bal Swaraj on or before May 29.

In pursuance of this, the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) informed the Supreme Court that 9,346 children in total are in need of immediate care. Out of this, 4,486 are girls and 4,480 are boys. According to NCPCR’s affidavit uploaded by LiveLaw, 1,742 children have been orphaned, 140 abandoned and 7,464 have lost one parent during the coronavirus pandemic.

A further breakdown provided in the NCPCR affidavit states that 788 children who need immediate protection belong to the age group of 0 to 3 years. 1,515 children belong to the 4 to 7 years age bracket and there are about 3,711 children in the age group of 8 to 13 years.

Uttar Pradesh has topped the list with 2,110 children in need of care, 10 who have been abandoned, 1,830 who lost a parent and 270 who have become orphans. In response to this, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has launched a welfare scheme for children who have either lost both of their parents to Covid or the earning parent, as reported in the media. Under this scheme called the Uttar Pradesh Mukhyamantri Bal Seva Yojana, the government will provide financial assistance to a child’s guardian while those who do not have anyone to look after them will be sent to children’s homes.

The Chief Minister was quoted saying by The Economic Times,

“Children who have lost both of their parents to COVID-19, a surviving parent, legal guardian in case the parents have already died earlier, will be included in this scheme. Children, who have lost the earning parent of their family will also be included in the scheme. The state government is committed to better health, better education and for the bright future of the children.”

During the court hearing on June 1, NCPCR’s lawyer submitted that the District authorities have not been able to provide the complete information relating to the children who have been affected by the loss of either of the parents or one parent during the pandemic. The time given to the District authorities to upload the information before May 29 has been extended till June 5. NCPCR has also been directed to collate the information and file an affidavit by June 6 evening.

The Supreme Court Bench also noted the Amicus Curiae Gaurav Agarwal’s submission that through the “PM Cares for Children” scheme which was announced by the Prime Minister on May 29 this year, children who have lost both parents or surviving parent or legal guardian/ adopted parents during Covid-19 shall be the beneficiaries of aid from the Central Government.

Since the particulars of the scheme is not available, he submitted that the Central Government should be directed to furnish all necessary details about the scheme announced by the Prime Minister. Further, the Union government has been directed to furnish information relating to the mechanism that would be adopted for distribution of the benefits. The State governments/ Union Territories have been instructed to appoint a Nodal Officer at the level of Secretaries, Joint Secretaries of the concerned District who would interact with him and provide all the necessary information relating to identification of orphans/CNCP’s (Children in Need of Care and Protection) to alleviate their pain and sufferings.

The States of Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Bihar and Jharkhand have been asked to start with this exercise and complete it before June 7.

Laura Loomer Confronts Jack Dorsey Over Tech Censorship During Bitcoin Conference

Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey was confronted by journalist Laura Loomer on the issue of Twitter’s rampant censorship policies during a Bitcoin conference on Friday. Video footage of the heated exchange quickly went viral on several platforms, including Twitter.

“Censorship is a human rights violation, you are censoring people, you are interfering in elections,” Loomer yelled at Dorsey, who appeared to be sporting a very dark tan. Loomer’s remarks drew cheers and applause from the crowd, with one man yelling “Why did you deplatform her?” in regard to Loomer’s own suspension from the platform.

“I just stormed the stage of the Bitcoin2021 conference to confront Jack Dorsey about his hypocrisy regarding censorship and decentralization,” Loomer wrote on her Telegram channel. “After I confronted him, I was removed from the conference. How can the King of Censorship and the tech tyrant himself possibly speak about decentralization and human rights? He’s a hypocrite.”

Loomer added, “Silencing millions of people is a human rights violation. Bitcoin is about freedom, which Jack Dorsey clearly doesn’t support.”

“I was just kicked out of the Bitcoin2021 conference by security for calling out Jack Dorsey during his speech,” Loomer noted. “How can the king of censorship speak about decentralization? Former Ohio doctor gets 22 years for luring underage girls to hotels for sex

A disgraced Ohio doctor who budgeted $2,000 a month to lure underage girls to hotels for sex has been sentenced to 22 years in prison by a federal judge — who blasted the perv’s sick scheme as “disgusting.”

Albert Aiad-Toss, a 53-year-old former emergency room physician in Youngstown and Ashland, used Snapchat to recruit six girls between the ages of 12 and 15 for sex at hotels in June 2019, federal prosecutors in Ohio said Thursday.

Aiad-Toss paid the young girls as much as $500 for sex — and plied them with alcohol, clothing, sex toys and lingerie, court documents show.

It was all part of what a judge called his “disgusting” scheme to have sex with minors, for which he set aside thousands of dollars per month.

“I don’t understand how you budget $2,000 a month to do this,” US District Judge Pamela Barker told Aiad-Toss, Cleveland.com reported. “The conduct is reprehensible.”

Federal prosecutors said Aiad-Toss intentionally targeted girls in Ashland County — some 90 miles away from his Youngstown home — to avoid being spotted by anyone he knew.

He also arranged for his victims to enter hotels via side doors rather than main entrances, court documents show.

The twisted encounters also involved more than one juvenile victim at a time. Video obtained by investigators showed Aiad-Toss inside one hotel with three young girls, as well as in a car days later with three victims, federal prosecutors said.

Aaid-Toss, who was arrested in July 2019, pleaded guilty in February to seven counts of sex trafficking of a minor and one count of child exploitation. In addition to 22 years in prison, Barker sentenced him Thursday to a lifetime of supervised release and $90,800 in fines.

Aiad-Toss’ attorney, meanwhile, told Barker he “saved countless lives” as an emergency room physician, but said he accepted responsibility for his actions, Cleveland.com reported.

“He will spend the next 22 years wondering and regretting,” attorney Darin Thompson said. “He has nothing.”

Aiad-Toss was arrested at an airport in Florida while returning from a trip to Peru, WKBN reported.

JPMorgan Halts Donations to Republicans Who Objected to 2020 Election Certification

JPMorgan Chase & Co says it will restart making political contributions to lawmakers except to congressional Republicans who objected to the certification of President Joe Biden’s victory in the 2020 election, reads a memo obtained by Reuters.

Reuters reports:

Following a review, the country’s largest lender will this month resume giving through its Political Action Committee (PAC) but will continue its freeze on donations to a “handful” of the 147 lawmakers whom it had previously supported, the bank said. The pause will last through the 2021-2022 election cycle, which includes November’s midterm elections, after which JPMorgan will review whether to resume contributions to the lawmakers concerned on an individual basis, it said.

“This was a unique and historic moment when we believe the country needed our elected officials to put aside strongly held differences and demonstrate unity,” the memo said. “Democracy, by its nature, requires active participation, compromise, and engaging with people with opposing views. That is why government and business must work together.”

Records from the Center for Responsive Politics show that JP Morgan’s PAC donated approximately to federal candidates and organizations supporting candidates between 2019 and 2020, including $10,000 House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) and Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-NY).

Either Republican lawmaker has responded to the Reuters report.

JP Morgan Chase isn’t the only corporation to freeze donations to Republicans. The financial giant was joined by American Airlines, Boston Scientific,Blue Cross Blue Shield BP, Coca Cola, Facebook, Goldman Sachs, Hallmark, Hilton Hotels, Kroger, Marriott International Microsoft and Visa.

Some Republican lawmakers, namely Sen. Josh Hawley, have seen their grassroots fundraising numbers surge in the wake of Corporate America’s decision to halt donations. Hawley raked in over $3 million during the first three months of 2021, according to Politico.

Hawley has repeatedly explained that he never sought to overturn’s the 2020 election, but rather wanted a robust investigation into allegations of voter fraud.

“I never said that the goal was to overturn the election,” the senator previously stated. “That was never the point and it was never possible. What we need to have are elections that are fair, free and open, and I think Congress needs to do its job and look into election irregularities.”

Senator Rand Paul, who has constantly challenged the contradictory and unscientific statements of Dr Fauci, as well as pointing out Fauci’s involvement in funding gain of function research with coronaviruses at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, appeared vindicated in an interview Thursday following disturbing revelations from released emails, which Paul urged should be the final nail in Fauci’s coffin.

Speaking to Laura Ingraham, Paul asserted that “The emails paint a disturbing picture, a disturbing picture of Dr. Fauci, from the very beginning, worrying that he had been funding gain-of-function research. He knows it to this day, but hasn’t admitted it.”

The Senator also urged that Fauci’s involvement has not been adequately investigated because in the eyes of Democrats “he could do no wrong”.

Paul pointed out that Fauci was denying that there was even any funding for gain of function research at the Wuhan lab just a few weeks back, a claim which is totally contradicted by his own emails in which he discusses it.

“In his e-mail, within the topic line, he says ‘acquire of perform research.’ He was admitting it to his non-public underlings seven to eight months in the past,” Paul emphasised.

The Senator also pointed to the email from Dr. Peter Daszak, President of the EcoHealth Alliance, a group that directly funded the Wuhan lab gain of function research, thanking Fauci for not giving credence to the lab leak theory.

Ingraham asked Paul if Fauci could face felony culpability, to which the Senator replied “At the very least, there is ethical culpability,” and Fauci should be fired from his government roles.

On June 3, Fauci finally asked China to release medical records of the Wuhan lab workers to confirm Donald Trump’s intelligence report from more than a year ago.

Fauci’s request came as former White House coronavirus testing czar Adm. Brett Giroir said Thursday there is “no data” to support Fauci’s claim of the flue evolved from nature.

Former President Donald Trump also stated Thursday that China should pay ten trillion dollars in reparations to the United States for coronavirus deaths and destruction.

“China should pay Ten Trillion Dollars to America, and the World, for the death and destruction they have caused!” Trump wrote.

The United States now owes China, according to the U.S. Treasury Department in June of 2020, $1.07 trillion in debt obligations.

The Chinese Communist Party has yet to take responsibility for the coronavirus pandemic that killed millions around the world.

PA State Senator Championing Election Integrity Voted for No-Excuse Absentee Voting in the State

Pennsylvania State Sen. Doug Mastriano (R-Franklin), who has recently positioned himself as a leading advocate for the Keystone State’s fight for election integrity, joined his Republican colleagues in voting for the measure, Act 77, which arguably caused many of the issues seen during the 2020 election — particularly permitting no-excuse voting in exchange for the abolishment of straight-ticket voting.

Mastriano, who is reportedly considering a gubernatorial bid, has recently put himself at the forefront of the state GOP’s pursuit of election integrity, standing as one of three state Republicans who toured Arizona’s audit site at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Phoenix, this week.

While he said he is “not about overturning anything,” he appeared to support an audit so lawmakers can “find out what went right, what went wrong, and how do we have better elections in the future.”

Mastriano told WEEO-FM they intend to “bring the information back to the Senate leadership, we’ll back-brief them on the way ahead and then hopefully we can come up with an approach here to make sure every person in Pennsylvania can rest assured they have one vote and it counts.”

However, Pennsylvania Republicans have largely failed to address their role in Pennsylvania’s chaotic and controversial 2020 presidential election procedures, which dates back to their approval of Act 77 in 2019.

Far-left Democrat Gov. Tom Wolf (D) signed the bill into law October 31, 2019, but Republicans at the time “didn’t see mail-in voting as an electoral liability,” as Public Source noted. Rather, Republicans were focused on ridding straight-ticket voting, which allowed voters to check a one-party box — an option they say hurt candidates in down the ticket races. Republicans in the Senate overwhelmingly voted for the measure 27-0. House Republicans also supported it 105-2. Mastriano supported it in committee as well.

The radical-left governor celebrated the bill at the time, contending it made voting “more convenient and more secure” as his office lauded the creation of the “new option to vote by mail without providing an excuse.”

However, in the early days of the pandemic, Mastriano began to express concern over what Act 77 could do to the election moving forward, as reported by The Daily Item in April 2020:

State Sen. Doug Mastriano, R-Franklin County, a former Army colonel, said that while serving in Afghanistan he helped plan for the election security during elections in that country. He’s worried about the potential for fraud as Pennsylvania expands access to mail-in voting, Mastriano said.

“I feel a bit dubious about this,” said state Mastriano said.

Texas AG Ken Paxton on His Stellar Record Defending Election Integrity from Democrats — And What He Thinks of Challenger George P. Bush

General Paxton has done a hero’s job standing up for election integrity and against Democrat cheaters.

Most of today’s discussion revolved around the Democrat Party’s continued attempts to steal the US elections. Never before was it more evident than in November 2020. And it was Ken Paxton who formed a coalition of states in early December to sue battleground states Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin, for their unconstitutional changes to the 2020 election laws.

The Supreme Court refused to hear the case. Paxton told The Gateway Pundit today he still believes the Supreme Court had a constitutional obligation to hear the case which they ignored.

Ken Paxton told The Gateway Pundit the USA will be much more like Venezuela if we do not fix the assault on our election system by the Democrat Party.

While serving as Attorney General in Texas Ken Paxton defended 12 lawsuits related to election laws. Democrats wanted to open the elections to mail-in ballots and ID-free elections and sued Texas to institute these unconstitutional practices in Texas elections. AG Paxton and his staff won every single one of these cases and prevented Democrats from stealing Texas this year like it appears they did in Georgia and Arizona. Ken has been fighting for free and fair elections in Texas and understands what a huge issue this is in our country today.

At the end of the interview we asked Ken about his likely opponent George P. Bush who announced on Thursday he was taking on Ken Paxton in the Texas Attorney General’s race. Ken unloaded on the younger Bush.

Ken Paxton on George P. Bush: Well, I think he was trying to figure out whether to run for governor, lieutenant governor, or me. I think he is going to try to move up to President of the United States and this is just a stepping stone… Let’s face it. He’s running from his own job. He was such a disaster. He did not defend the Alamo. We have a saying in Texas that goes all the way back. It goes, “Remember the Alamo!” Well, he surrendered the Alamo… The other reality for him is he just got his law license back. He let it lapse for ten years in October of last year. So he’s had his law license for less than a year. And he’s going to run after failing to run his own agency. He’s going to come run a much larger angency that has many issues.. I just don’t think the guy is qualified to do it.
