Fauci met with the Trilateral Commission in their secret all member meeting two weeks before flip flopping on mask guidance. He even asked his secretary not to mention the meeting to the rest of his team!

Fauci's flip-flopping on the mask issue makes sense if you think about it.

I suspect that the primary motivation to go full-on-mask was not to prevent the spread of COVID, rather, it was the psychological impact that mandatory masking would have on the population, and the perceived threat of the disease in the public mindset.

Previously, Fauci had unequivocally stated that the types of masks commonly in use would provide minimal protection due to the tiny size of the exhaled particles that transmit airborne viruses like COVID-19 – and he had a valid point: wearing masks to prevent the spread would be akin to erecting a chain-link fence to keep mosquitoes out.

No, the primary effect that masking achieved was to inculcate the public psyche with an ever present and inescapable reminder that they are all in DANGER – to impress and reinforce a sense of anxiety, fear, and desperation as they and everyone they met in public was obligated to participate in what was essentially a charade designed to enhance paranoia to levels bordering on mass hysteria.

This was a key factor in provoking the people to BEG for a solution to the perceived "crisis", and in mentally preparing them to accept, embrace, and clamor for ANY solution that the "Gods of Science" would offer – and they were very careful to be sure that the "solutions" offered were limited to a novel class of "vaccines" that had NEVER been successfully used in humans in a large scale, and would have been greeted with great skepticism if the psychological groundwork had not been laid in advance.

So then, while the masks may have been minimally effective in preventing the physical spread of COVID-19, their mandated use was very effective in preparing the minds of the people to allow themselves to be injected with hastily concocted, minimally tested products that have NOT performed as promised, and that are producing an alarming range of side-effects – the full extent of which will not be known for years or generations to come.

Were the masks effective? That depends on what effects those who championed their use were hoping to produce, doesn't it?

From a purely psychological perspective, their impact was phenomenal. Well over half of the population of the US has now taken the injections, and the social pressures on the "stragglers in the herd" are convincing more to roll up their sleeves with each passing day.

The whole spectacle is fascinating to observe. I just wish that I could shake the feeling that a malevolent plot twist is awaiting us after the intermission.
