Do you remember this video? Its creator came out a few weeks ago and admitted that it is a hoax. It was released to promote a film that he wanted to make. He was planning to tell us that it was a hoax at the end of the production film. I suppose it would have been made in the style of Borat. But the film never got made. He told the story in his confession published in the San Francisco Chronicle.

I found the following related links and was able to verify that they appear in archives during the appropriate years. The apology appears to be legit.
