I watched "The 100" a few weeks ago. Watched the first 2 seasons before and thought it was shit.

 

By the time season 6 hit I was into it enough to really appreciate the Sanctum storyline and see how it could apply here.

Straightforward.

 

Once religions become "established" with their God of choice, it becomes a power hierarchy. Someone from the outside, should they be of that particular ambition, would have to start from the bottom.

 

But if someone has a character like that, but is especially intelligent, well then they start their own religion and create a new God if necessary. That way they start at the top, and simply has to increase power by duping the sheep into belief.

Within the definition of egregore is a discorporeal idea/entity, or the idea of an entity, that gains power through number and intensity of believers.

 

If the cabal somehow thinks that this world will reach kind of critical mass, then Satan or whoever will come into physical existence.
