In my area the do-gooder environmentalists eradicated the invasive eucalyptus trees.

These trees were the preferred environment of the Monarchs.

They effectively wiped them out in our area. We had MILLIONS. You could barely drive a car around without hitting them, when they would swarm.

I was walking through a designated area to walk(conservation group bought it and was protecting it, aka cutting most of the eukes). Some woman was walking a small group of women around and having them look up at a tree where a tiny amount of butterflies were still trying to exist.

I piped up, as I am want to do, and told them it would probably be the last time they would see them here as conservation groups had been given permission to chop down the eukes and thus irradiating their environment.

The woman had a shocked look on her face and couldn't say a thing. I scowled at all of them as I walked on by. That was the last time I saw any in our area and that was a few years ago now.

Make sure your list of flight passengers are the ones who actually went to the island and not just those in his book or those who hopped on the plane to different places. Not all listed in his book went there. Don't accuse unless you know.
