Symbol of arrogance and self-love.
Some symbols for pride include peacocks, especially when they show their beautiful tail feathers. There is a saying “proud as a peacock” that has been used as early as the 1200s. In medieval iconography, a knight upon his horse was a symbol of pride. Horses themselves are also a symbol for pride. Purple is a symbol for royalty and the people of the highest rank.
