Was "officially" told by the Army in a briefing before deploying there in the 90's that 65% of the people in Africa were HIV positive. I do not recall 65% of Africa dying since.
Where I went they didn't have band aids let alone insurance to pay for them.

I spent my time stealing food for those poor people. One heaped full plate at a time. Sometimes did 5 trips through the breakfast line. Filled plastic shopping bags with leftovers when on KP.
I use a Zero water filter. I've used the wand thing that comes with it on everything. Every brand of water local and the tap water. Only the Zero filters come out to 0 PP/mm. I like doing a RODI from my grocery store dispenser and then dripping that through the Zero filter.
Makes for a totally different water. Almost doesn't make it to the stomach before it is absorbed.
Wife uses it in her CPAP machine too.
