‘They Had Suspicions’: Former FDA Commissioner Says Fauci Briefed World Leaders On Potential Lab Leak — A Year Ago

Former FDA Commissioner Scott Gottlieb said Sunday that he was told Dr. Anthony Fauci had briefed world leaders on the possibility that the novel coronavirus leaked from a lab.

Gottlieb told “Face the Nation” host John Dickerson that a senior official in former President Donald Trump’s administration had informed him there was suspicion that the strain “looked unusual,” which prompted Fauci to address the possibility that it had leaked from a research laboratory in Wuhan.

Dickerson began with the public release of Fauci’s emails, asking what Gottlieb made of the content.

“I didn’t think there was anything remarkable in those emails. I don’t think there was anything that Tony said that expressed any ill intent, and nothing that was new,” Gottlieb replied, saying that there had always been two theories on the origins of the virus — a natural derivation or a leak from a lab — but that there had been little real evidence to support either one.

“We have other information now that fits into this picture. The science is one piece of information, but there is a lot of other information that points in the direction that this could have come out of a lab, that we need to have a broader view about the potential risk that this was a lab leak,” Gottlieb continued.

Dickerson pressed Gottlieb on that possibility, pointing out the fact that critics have claimed that Fauci had not been entirely forthcoming with regard to the idea that COVID-19 could have originated in a lab.

“Well, I was told at that time, back in the spring, that Dr. Fauci had gone over to a meeting of world health leaders in Europe and actually briefed them on the information that they were looking at, that this could have been a potential lab leak, that this strain looked unusual,” Gottlieb replied. “I think early on, when they looked at the strain, they had suspicions. And it takes time to do that analysis, and that dispelled some of those suspicions.”

Gottlieb concluded by saying that it was a mistake to only look at the virus from a scientific perspective.

“The broader issue is we look at these things through the lens of science, and not necessarily through the lens of national security,” Gottlieb said. “A scientific mindset looks at the virus and the virus’ behavior and draws a conclusion. A national security assessment looks at that and then looks at the behavior of the Chinese government, the behavior of the lab, other evidence around the lab, including the infections we now know took place, and that changes the overall assessment.”

Kushner Reportedly Wants 'Simpler Relationship' With Trump After Distancing Himself From Politics

American millionaire, real estate developer and owner of one of the largest development companies in New York, Jared Kushner, served as senior adviser to his father-in-law, the former US president, Donald Trump.

The husband of Trump’s daughter, Ivanka Trump, and former senior adviser to Trump, Kushner is reportedly seeking to establish "a simpler relationship" with his father in law, after dropping out of politics, The New York Times reported on Saturday, citing a small “circle of advisers.”

According to the newspaper, Kushner "wants to focus on writing his book and establishing a simpler relationship" with his father in law.

Recent reports claimed that Kushner and his wife had “checked out of politics”, distancing themselves from the violent political turmoil that followed in the wake of the most recent US presidential election.

Trump’s son-in-law was also earlier said to be working on a book devoted to his own personal experience as a senior adviser to his father in law.

Kushner, while serving as a senior advisor to Trump, assisted in negotiations in the Middle East. His diplomatic efforts resulted, in part, in the so-called Abraham Accords; agreements between Israel and a number of Arab states to normalize relations. Earlier, he welcomed the efforts of US President Joe Biden’s administration to negotiate the possible reconstruction of 2015 Iranian nuclear deal (Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, JCPOA) that his father in law unilaterally ditched in 2018.

The cartel of Australian Mr Bigs responsible for $1.5b drug imports

Australia’s most dangerous and wanted crime bosses have organised themselves into a cartel earning an estimated $1.5 billion a year by smuggling drugs past the nation’s borders with the help of corrupt government officials and border insiders, the nation's peak criminal intelligence agency believes.

The Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission says nine men, drawn mostly from Australian bikie gangs and Middle Eastern crime syndicates, make up what the agency has named the “Aussie Cartel”. The nine have been confidentially designated by the intelligence agency as Australian priority organisation targets after an assessment that they pose the gravest organised crime risk to the nation.

The cartel’s members are “the baddest of the bad”, according to the commission’s chief executive, Michael Phelan, in an interview with The Age, The Sydney Morning Herald and 60 Minutes. He said they had “significant influence over OMCGs [outlaw motorcycle gangs]” in Australia and presented “major threats to the integrity of our justice system and other government institutions”.

Mr Phelan said the nine were all Australian, and shared supply routes and any corrupt networks they had. He estimated they were responsible for “about one-third of the drug importations into our country”.

State and federal policing agency sources said the cartel had formed unprecedented alliances between formerly warring senior Hells Angels and Comanchero members to import drugs into Australia and to set up supply hubs in Thailand, giving the cartel direct access to the booming “Golden Triangle” drug precinct.

The nine crime bosses have also developed extensive methods of penetrating border security, known as “doors”, giving them an unrivalled capacity to meet Australia’s market for drugs.

“I don’t care about playing fair either,” Mr Phelan said. “Absolutely, we’re hunting them and we make no apology for that.”

He also revealed police across Australia would be increasing the targeting of the Comancheros.

Georgia GOP Approves Resolution Censuring Secretary Of State Brad Raffensperger

The Georgia Republican Party on Saturday approved a resolution censuring Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, local media reported.

The Georgia GOP during a convention approved a resolution that says Raffensperger, a Republican, failed to perform his duties in “accordance with the laws of the Constitution of the State of Georgia,” WSB-TV reported.

The document says the failure stemmed from Raffensperger entering into a settlement agreement with the Democratic Party of Georgia, the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.

The agreement saw Raffensperger agree to promote and enforce regulations regarding prompt notification if a mail-in ballot was rejected and regarding county clerks’ signature reviews of absentee ballot envelopes and ballots.

Georgia Republicans accused Raffensperger of “undermining the security of our elections by allowing mass mailings of absentee applications by his office and third parties which created opportunities for fraud and overwhelmed election offices; rendering accurate signature matching nearly impossible; allowing ballot drop boxes without proper chain of custody; and ignoring sworn affidavits and disregarding evidence of voter fraud.”

“It’s obvious that there was fraud,” Michael Ovitz, an attendee at the convention, told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

“A civilized society depends upon truths and facts, not deception and deceit.”

The Georgia Republican Party did not respond to a request for comment.

Raffensperger has said there is no evidence of widespread fraud occurring in the 2020 election. The State Election Board, which he chairs, has sent dozens of election fraud cases to prosecutors in the wake of the election, including allegations that voters failed to register and vote or registered to vote while living outside the state.

Raffensperger’s office told WSB-TV: “The secretary of state’s office, county election directors, and the tens of thousands of poll workers across the state worked to ensure that democracy was upheld. It is the job of counties to run elections and the secretary of state’s office’s job to report those election results—it is the job of the political parties to deliver wins for their candidates. Let’s not confuse the two.”

Former President Trump wanted to publicly question Dr. Anthony Fauci about American funding of the Wuhan laboratory suspected of leaking COVID-19 but was talked out of setting up a presidential commission by aides, according to a forthcoming book.

An executive order had been drafted in order to hold China to account and bill Beijing for reparations.

Details emerged Saturday amid fresh question about who knew what and when in the federal government about the origins of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Trump was 'enthusiastic' about setting up a commission along the lines of those that investigated the 9/11 attacks and the JFK assassination, according to What Really Happened in Wuhan, by Sharri Markson, due to be published in September by HarperCollins.

And, excerpts published by the New York Post, reveal that officials suspected China developed a vaccine for COVID-19 before the outbreak.

“It may seem likely that the Wuhan Institute of Virology has been researching a vaccine before the outbreak,” a State Department analysis authored by Miles Yu, a China adviser to former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.

The details offer fresh insight into how officials focused in on the Wuhan laboratory while scientists publicly insisted the virus had emerged naturally.

But skeptics will also see an opportunity for China hawks to settle scores and blame others for getting in the way of their plans.

The book reveals an executive order was drafted in August 2020 to establish 'The National Commission on the Origins and Costs of COVID-19.

The driving force was combative White House trade adviser Peter Navarro.

He told DailyMail.com he wanted Tom Cotton as commissioner and retired Air Force Brig. Gen. Robert Spalding to lead sessions on the geo-politics of the affair.

Witnesses were to include Fauci and EcoHealth Alliance President Peter Daszak, who was responsible for funneling some U.S. funding to the Wuhan lab.

'It would have established the cause of the virus,' he said as well as reparations owed by China.

'That likely would have been of the nature of twenty trillion dollars.'

It would be run out of the State Department and was backed by Pompeo.

Remember the charismatic, young African-American senator from Illinois who electrified crowds with his rhetoric, who called for a new kind of politics that would heal the United States?

Unfortunately, the audacity of hope quickly devolved into the audacity of bitter partisanship and division following his historic victory.

Barack Hussein Obama, the 44th president of the United States, spoke at an event sponsored by The Economic Club of Chicago on Friday where he sharply condemned the new voting reform laws enacted recently in Georgia and Florida and currently under consideration in the state of Texas and elsewhere.

Republicans are “rigging the game,” Obama declared. “That’s the kind of dangerous behavior that we’re going to have to push back on.”

Addressing what he called the Jan. 6 “insurrection,” he said, “And you had one of the major American political parties not only fail to condemn some of that behavior, but embrace a patently false narrative about the election being stolen that is being still perpetuated and now that same major political party being willing to initiate legislative — you know — actions across the country where they’re saying, ‘we’re going to let partisan legislatures decide whether or not to certify an election,’ uh, and institute voter suppression measures directly targeted, for example, at cities in those states, so there’s a different set of rules for how votes are counted in Atlanta versus how they’re counted in the rest of Georgia…

“I think the corporate community has a responsibility to at least call folks out on that. Because that transcends policy. … Do the basic rules by which we all have agreed to keep this diverse, multiracial democracy functioning, are we going to stick to those rules or are we going to start rigging the game in a way that breaks it?” he asked rhetorically?

Memo to Obama: What was “not good for our soul” was watching the chaos that ensued last November after Democrats changed the rules leading up to the presidential election. Unprecedented numbers of absentee ballots overwhelmed the system, resulting in major chain of custody issues in all of the swing states, providing a gaping opportunity for both voter and electoral fraud.

Regarding the Republicans’ failure to condemn the “behavior” on Jan. 6, my recollection is a bit different. To an almost nauseating degree, every Republication politician and pundit prefaced virtually every comment uttered about the Capitol incursion with strong condemnation. It was as if they were required to issue a disclaimer before any discussion could begin.

The former president is gaslighting when he says that laws requiring voters to show an ID is “rigging the game.”

During an interview last week with New York City WABC 770 AM radio’s “The Cats Roundtable,” according to Breitbart News, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton said, “The only reason you don’t want people to have a photo ID is that people can cheat. That’s the only rational answer as to why certain people want no photo ID requirements.”

In a Friday interview with The War Room’s Steve Bannon, Paxton said that, had his office not blocked several Texas counties from mailing out absentee ballots to every registered voter as they had planned, Biden would have won Texas in November.

A group of gunmen believed to be with one faction of the Gulf Cartel left at least two ice chests filled with dismembered human body parts in the Mexican border city of Reynosa. Authorities recovered one of the ice-chests, while unknown gunmen absconded with the other one.

The incident took place on Saturday afternoon when residents spotted two ice chests along the Monterrey-Matamoros highway near the Jarachina Norte neighborhood. The ice chests had been tied closed with a piece of rope.

One of the most famous hacker groups Anonymous has issued a threat to Elon Musk, accusing the billionaire of having “destroyed lives” of retail investors with his tweets about cryptocurrencies.

“… recently your carefully created public image is being exposed, and people are beginning to see you as nothing more than another narcissistic rich dude who is desperate for attention.” – Anonymous claimed on the video.

On May 13, Elon Musk announced that Tesla would not accept bitcoins to pay for its electric vehicles, and the cryptocurrency rate collapsed by almost 20%.

“We are concerned about rapidly increasing use of fossil fules for Bitcoin mining and transactions, especially coal, which has the worst emissions of any fuel. Cryptocurrency is a good idea on many level and we believe it has a promising future, but this cannot come a great cost to the environment ”. – the statement reads.

In early February, Tesla made the largest Bitcoin investment of any public campaign, buying $ 1.5 billion in bitcoin. In six weeks, Tesla allowed US customers to buy cars using Bitcoin. At the same time, Musk was actively promoting Dogecoin in his tweets.

Then Elon Musk changed his mind and announced that Tesla was no longer accepting Bitcoin payments for its electric cars.

Anonymous group blamed Musk for “a clear disregard for the average working person” and that his “public temper tantrums have liquidated the dreams of hardworking individuals”.

Anonymous described the hidden causes of Musk’s decision by his desire to play both sides of the fence. Since the vast majority of income of his company comes from government subsidies, selling carbon tax credits for your innovation with clean energy, they were likely used to buy bitcoins. Musk was forced to denounce his involvement with bitcoin in order to preserve the flow of revenue from the government.
