I knew one woman, from the drug end of the group, who had tested positive. She was pregnant at the time and had the baby who had been doing fine, until we lost contact with her. I have no idea how she turned out. My ex's best friend married her (it was his child). He had not tested positive, then.
It was a pretty frightening time back then. We didn't know yet how it was spread( think back to fauxci spreading fear last year). No one wanted a positive testing person anywhere near them.
Remember Rock Hudson being wheeled off the plane on a stretcher, just before he died? That was, I think, how most of us were awakened to the news. There had been whispers of a new disease before that incident, but no real news.
