all of which i totally agree with, but our system is backed by nothing. If the gold standard was at least part of it again that would be different, and people like us have been saying that for decades now. My issue is, that if Russia according to news reports posted here, pulls out their funds from the US dollar in which they have no faith in, but places it into their own currency, bitcoin, the euro and gold most importantly. Where does that leave americans, other than massive amounts of inflation domestically. I know there is a gold related q post, but until that happens all i see is massive amounts of inflation and increased poverty.

so if they monetize debt, if people just did not pay back the debt would that not crash the markets, if the entire premise is that people will pay it back. not a financialanon so learning as i go.

ok tell me why any one should have faith in the corrupt system. This does not just go for the american economy either, globally. because if it is faith based, how is that not a religion based on greed.

so am i wrong to say that we will have increased inflation when russia no longer supports us currency? Which will then cause more global loss of faith as well. Plus i know Trump called for the cancellation of debt to china, I am sure that would have an affect also but not sure how.

if they pull out billions though it will have an undermining of the faith of the american dollar, that has got to hurt.
