Maricopa Camera Report
Just watched camera 5, for a little over 5 minutes.
During that time, she processed 17 ballots, both front and back.
I timed it from the time she touched the ballot, and clicked "lap" when she touched the next one.
The fastest processing time was 10 seconds. The slowest was 30.
She and one other person were doing the work. Seems they spent some time talking, which accounted for the variance (not complaining at all, they're volunteers I believe, am just taking notice and accounting for variances in processing rate to come to a conclusion).
Now, doing some extrapolation from the 5 minutes of effort.
Processed at the above rate, 17 ballots every 5 minutes. Get the rate, first: 17/5 = 3.4 ballots per minute.
There are 2.1 million ballots. Divide by 3.4 = 617,647 minutes required to process all the ballots. Divide by 60 = 10,294 hours, then divide by 24 = 428 days.
Next, how many stations can I count? Looking in camera 6, I count 24 stations in the center area being set up, and another what looks like 28 on the left side completely set up. Camera 3 also appears to show 28 stations (same ones that were on the side); I ended up counting the chair legs, as there are two blue-cushioned chairs at each station. Many of the side stations are in operation, at almost 1 am!The center stations are mostly empty.
So, currently there are 52 stations. 428 days / 52 stations = 8.23 days, or just over a week if the stations were fully staffed 24/7.
As the turntables are completing their effort, they'll likely be removed and more stations will be added. So it could be completely finished in less than a week.
What a week to remember!
