I was talking to my niece yesterday, who is a high school English teacher at a public school. She was telling me that when she assigns a term paper that the kids have to use "approved resources", they can't just use "stuff" that they found on the internet.
And that there was a girl in one of her classes who wanted to do a paper on the Illuminati, but, per my niece, her sources were bogus.
I wanted to get a better idea of what the "school approved resources" were, but I didn't get a chance to pick her brain.
I tried to drop a few crumb about WaPo, NYT and the AP not necessarily being truthful but it was a family get together and there were a bunch of little kids running around and babies crying so I don't know if any of it sank in.
