The office has been accredited since 1978 by the National Association of Medical Examiners and is the premier medicolegal death investigation agency in the Northwest US. After graduating in 1976 from Indiana University School of Medicine, Dr. Harruff received training in pathology from University of Wisconsin, New York University, and University of Tennessee. In addition to a number of forensic activities, he has promoted innovative methods for forensic investigation of domestic violence, infant deaths and elder mistreatment.
