They eat their own, Heads up Joe Manchin

https://truthout.org/articles/poor-peoples-campaign-to-march-against-manchin-obstructionism-in-west-virginia/

Outraged by Joe Manchin’s obstruction of Democratic efforts to protect and expand voting rights and end the Senate filibuster, the faith-led Poor People’s Campaign has announced it will lead a Moral Monday demonstration in the West Virginia senator’s home state next week.

“It’s time to march on his office,” Rev. Dr. William J. Barber II, co-chair of the Poor People’s Campaign, said of Manchin, the Senate’s most conservative Democrat, in an interview with Religion News Service. “It’s time for people of all differences to stand together against him — we call it ‘from the hollers in the mountains to the hood.'”

In 2017, Dr. William launched a revival of the 1968 Poor People’s Campaign, which was spearheaded by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Later that year, he announced he would step down from the state NAACP presidency. The reverend explained that he left his position to lead “a new ‘Poor People’s Campaign.'”

In 2018, the Poor People’s Campaign launched 40 days of nonviolent civil disobedience in 40 states.

This resulted in more than 5000 acts of simultaneous civil disobedience.

In the same year, he was named a MacArthur Fellow for “building broad-based fusion coalitions as part of a moral movement to confront racial and economic inequality.”

Barber will receive $625,000 over 5 years as a recipient of the MacArthur Foundation “Genius Grant.” He can use the money as he desires.

From June 21, the Poor People’s Campaign will launch a one year campaign fighting forward every day towards a massive, generationally-transformative Moral March on Washington and Poor People’s & Low-Wage Workers’ Assembly on June 18, 2022. People from every corner of the U.S. will converge and convene in the nation’s capital in the summer of 2022 to create a national stage for the voices and leadership of people directly impacted by systemic racism, the denial of health care and ecological devastation, militarism and the distorted moral narrative of religious nationalism. We will demonstrate the power and resolve of poor people to make the Third Reconstruction a reality.

This non-partisan resolution recognizes that in order to build a true Third Reconstruction we must simultaneously deal with the interlocking injustices of systemic racism, poverty, ecological devastation and the denial of health care, militarism and the distorted moral narrative of religious nationalism that blames the poor instead of the systems that cause poverty.

A pesky cicada appeared to hit President Biden in the neck on Wednesday as he prepared to depart on his first foreign trip of his administration.

Video showed Biden standing outside at Joint Base Andrews chatting near first lady Jill Biden when he swiped at one of the bugs near his neck.

Biden was talking to his Air Force greeter when the insect made its presence known, according to The Associated Press.

“The White House press charter, flying from Dulles to Europe ahead of President Biden, has been delayed for hours - due to mechanical issues caused by cicadas Yes. Cicadas," Lemire tweeted.

Dr. Anthony Fauci appears to have spun a new web of lies today while appearing on MSNBC, this time claiming he has “no idea” about the concerns expressed by U.S. Senator Marsha Blackburn about his communications with Facebook owner Mark Zuckerberg.

Zuckerberg – who funded a massive effort to artificially boost Democrat voting numbers at the 2020 election – was e-mailing with Fauci in mid March 2020. Now, Fauci claims to have “no idea” about these exchanges, despite also reaching out to Zuckerberg on the telephone during this period.

Even Wall Street Shills Understand Why the Democrats Failed

A new autopsy of the Democrats’ 2020 electoral underperformance supports the Left's arguments about the weaknesses of the party’s strategies. The only surprise is where the report came from: Wall Street–funded neoliberal think tank Third Way.

Surprise, surprise: a new 2020 postelection autopsy comes to many of these same conclusions — conclusions that observers on the Left have been stressing for months, pulling their hair out as the Democratic Party’s CIA caucus sought to publicly put the blame on the party’s handful of socialists, and popular, commonsense ideas like Medicare for All. But what genuinely is a surprise is who authored this particular autopsy: Third Way, the corporate- — especially Wall Street– — funded think tank that exists to shape Democratic policy for the benefit of tycoons like the Kochs.

So Bush made some phonecalls ?

https://www.newsweek.com/texas-ag-ken-paxton-under-misconduct-investigation-bar-over-2020-election-fraud-claims-1599155?piano_t=1

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is facing a professional misconduct investigation from the Texas bar association into his failed attempts to delegitimize Donald Trump's defeat in the 2020 election after false claims of election fraud.

The complaint came from Democratic Party activist Kevin Moran, president of the Galveston Island Democrats. Letters from State Bar of Texas and the statewide Board of Disciplinary Appeals also confirmed the investigation, the Associated Press reported.

Moran said Paxton attempted in court to invalidate the presidential election results from Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, all of which went for Joe Biden. He said that Paxton's actions were a wasteful embarrassment and that the attorney general should have his law license revoked.

"He wanted to disenfranchise the voters in four other states," said Moran. "It's just crazy."

The State Bar of Texas initially declined to take up the complaint that Paxton's petitioning of the U.S. Supreme Court to block Joe Biden's victory was frivolous and unethical. But a tribunal that oversees grievances against lawyers overturned that decision late last month and ordered the bar to look into the accusations against the Republican official.

The investigation is yet another liability for the embattled attorney general, who is facing a years-old criminal case, a separate, newer FBI investigation, and a Republican primary opponent who is seeking to make electoral hay of the various controversies. It also makes Paxton one of the highest-profile lawyers to face professional blowback over their roles in Donald Trump's effort to delegitimize his defeat.

https://www.thedrive.com/the-war-zone/41007/the-first-two-b-21-stealth-bombers-are-now-ready-for-testing

The first two examples of the advanced stealth bombers will now undergo ground testing before their planned first flight next year.

The modernization of the U.S. Air Force’s bomber branch is gathering pace, with the news that the first two examples of the so-far highly secretive Northrop Grumman B-21 Raider stealth bomber have been completed. As the service prepares to start testing the two new flying-wing bombers, it has also confirmed that it has no plans to retire additional examples of its aging B-1Bs until deliveries of the Raider begin, scheduled for some time in the mid-2020s, at the earliest. That reflects wider concerns in the service about whether it actually has enough bombers in its current fleet to deal with the kinds of high-end threats that it could face today.
