Lifelong scifag here. Scientists allow political convictions and money to influence their work and their opinions just as much as anyone else. They are not better at putting prior beliefs aside and following-the-evidence-where-it-leads than non scientists. There is as more hubris and fakery than there is solid scientific work. It is a big mistake to unquestioningly believe any scientific study or explanation. FYI.
