JBS, the world’s largest supplier of meat, paid $11 million in Bitcoin to ransomware hackers, The Wall Street Journal reported:

JBS USA Holdings Inc. paid an $11 million ransom to cybercriminals who last week temporarily knocked out plants that process roughly one-fifth of the nation’s meat supply, the company’s chief executive said.

The ransom payment, in bitcoin, was made to shield JBS meat plants from further disruption and to limit the potential impact on restaurants, grocery stores and farmers that rely on JBS, said Andre Nogueira, chief executive of Brazilian meat company JBS SA’s U.S. division.

“It was very painful to pay the criminals, but we did the right thing for our customers,” Mr. Nogueira said Wednesday in an interview with The Wall Street Journal. He added that the payment was made after the majority of JBS plants were up and running again.

JBS was hit with a ransomware attack two Sundays ago, threatening US meat supply.

One-fifth of US beef production was wiped out after JBS paused processing at five of its biggest beef plants which manage a total of 22,500 cattle per day.

The cyberattack on JBS comes just weeks after ransomware hackers shut down the Colonial Pipeline, creating gas lines and shortages.

The Justice Department on Monday announced it seized most of the $4.3 million in Bitcoin (75 BTC) ransom Colonial Pipeline paid to hackers.

Last Wednesday the FBI said Russian-linked “REvil and Sodinokibi” were behind the JBS hack:

A 29-year-old man has been charged with sex trafficking a child on the Las Vegas Strip. He is accused of beating her and keeping the money she made as a prostitute, according to a report.

Marcus Marshal of North Las Vegas is scheduled to appear in Las Vegas Justice Court on June 22, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal. Marshal has pleaded not guilty to charges of kidnapping a minor, sex trafficking a child, child abuse, and more. In some reports, his name is spelled “Marshall.”

Marshal met the underage female online while she was living at an unnamed facility in another state. In October 2020, he took her to Las Vegas, where she worked as a prostitute from November 2020 until January 2021, the newspaper reported. Her age was not provided.

Marshal concealed and kept her from her legal guardian for the purpose of engaging in prostitution,” according to a police report.

The girl engaged in 10 sexual acts as a prostitute, earning $1,000. Marshal kept her earnings from this activity, the newspaper reported.

Marshal also was violent and beat her, the girl told police. After seeking protective custody, she identified Marshal in a police photographic lineup, the newspaper reported. On June 2, Marshal was arrested in the 2800 block of the Strip. Circus Circus Hotel and Casino is among the properties on that block.

Bangladesh trafficking gang lured girls using TikTok: Police

Eleven arrested for being suspected members of gang that lured girls and women into India’s sex trade using the social media platform.

At least 11 people have been arrested for being suspected members of a Bangladesh trafficking gang that lured girls and women into neighbouring India’s sex trade using the social media platform TikTok, Dhaka police said.

The gang’s alleged ringleader Rafizul Islam Ridoy – nicknamed TikTok Ridoy – would “lure young girls from TikTok and other social media groups, promising to make them TikTok models”, Bangladesh’s Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) paramilitary unit said on Tuesday.

But the victims were instead smuggled into southern India and forced into sex work, according to a RAB statement.

The arrests came after video footage of an alleged sexual assault of a Bangladeshi woman went viral on social media in late May, prompting an investigation into the gang, the RAB said.

The suspects were all detained over the last week.

The latest arrests came on Monday when two men were held in a southwestern border district in Bangladesh for allegedly trafficking girls and women aged between 17 to 22, Dhaka police’s deputy commissioner Mohammad Shahidullah said.

“One of them has told us that he has sent 1,000 people to India,” Shahidullah told the AFP news agency.

A total of nine people were arrested in Bangladesh and two others in India’s technology hub Bengaluru for allegedly being part of the trafficking gang, police added.

Bengaluru city police commissioner Kamal Pant told AFP on Tuesday that four other people were also arrested and accused of rape or abetting the alleged sexual assault shown in the video.

An additional person arrested late on Tuesday had yet to be questioned, he added.

All were Bangladesh nationals, police in both countries said.

Ridoy was one of those in the custody of Bengaluru authorities, Dhaka police added.

Shahidullah said that since 2019 when TikTok became popular in Bangladesh, such gangs had sprung up to draw in teenagers from low-income families.

They would be invited to pool parties, star in TikTok videos and “sold dreams of well-paid salaries in call centres, sales and service centres”, he added.

Biden admin to purchase 500M doses of Pfizer COVID vaccine to give to other countries: reports

The president is expected to announce the move during his visit at the G-7 in Europe

President Joe Biden is set to announce plan for the U.S. government to purchase 500 million doses of Pfizer's coronavirus vaccine for the purpose of sending the vials to other countries who are in need of vaccines, according to several reports.

Biden is expected to unveil the deal during this week's G-7 summit of the world's most developed economies with the leaders of Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, and the U.K., where the event is being held.

What are the details?

NBC News reported that according to three people familiar with his thinking, Biden will announce his plan to buy the 500 million doses "to donate to other countries struggling with a limited supply."

"Of the doses, 200 million will be donated this year and 300 million will be donated across the first half of next year," the outlet reported, adding that "the doses will be distributed through COVAX — a humanitarian program run in part by the World Health Organization that aims to distribute vaccines fairly — to 92 low-income countries, as well as the African Union."

Politico also cited three unnamed sources in its report on the plan while reporting that "the new order would nearly double the government's original agreement to buy up to 600 million Pfizer doses" and "it has so far secured 300 million for the U.S. population, but American demand has dropped off in recent weeks while calls for overseas donations have increased."

The Washington Post also claimed three people familiar with the plan told them about it, but that the White House declined to comment on Wednesday.

The newspaper reported that Biden "hinted he would be announcing his global plan as he boarded Air Force One to Britain on Wednesday" when he told reporters, "I have one, and I'll be announcing it."

While in the air on the trip to the U.K., national security adviser Jack Sullivan told the press:

"The president is focused on helping to vaccinate the world because he believes it is the right thing to do; it's what Americans do in times of need. When we have the capacity, then we have the will, and we step up and we deliver. And he said in his joint session that we were the arsenal of democracy in World War II, and we're going to be the arsenal of vaccines over the course of the next period to end this pandemic."

Anthony Weiner has rejoined the secret messaging app Confide, on which he had a months-long online sexting relationship with a 15-year-old girl.

Users of the app — which allows people to communicate with messages encrypted for privacy that disappear right after they’re read and leave no digital trace — were shocked to see Carlos Danger is back in town.

It seems that if Weiner’s personal e-mail was already saved in a user’s contacts, said Confide user got a message last week: “New friend. Anthony Weiner joined Confide. Send Anthony a message now.”

That must have been a nice surprise for the Confide crew.

In 2016, the Daily Mail reported Weiner, 56, carried on an affair with a girl online that consisted of sexually graphic messages sent over Confide and other apps.

The minor said that he asked her to dress up in “school girl” outfits and pressed her to engage in “rape fantasies.”

The girl, whose name was withheld, said the online relationship began while she was a high-school sophomore and before Weiner’s wife, Hillary Clinton’s aide Huma Abedin, announced she was ending their marriage.

After the texts were reported, his laptop was seized. In a statement at the time, he said: “I have repeatedly demonstrated terrible judgment about the people I have communicated with online and the things I have sent. I am filled with regret and heartbroken for those I have hurt.”

He added — without explanation — that he may have “been the subject of a hoax.”

When asked by Page Six if it was genuinely him back on Confide, Weiner — who pleaded guilty in 2017 to transferring obscene material to a minor and was sentenced to 21 months in prison — confirmed it to us via e-mail.

“Yeah I got this,” he wrote, adding a message from Confide reminding him to view his unread messages.

Biden regime Secretary of Defense and ex-Raytheon board member Lloyd Austin declared that “transgender rights are human rights,” and indicated he believes transgender soldiers fought to defend the “rights and freedoms” of Americans during the “founding of our nation” and every war major since since for the past 200+ years.

“Throughout American history, LGBTQ+ citizens have fought to defend our rights and freedoms,” Austin said during the “Pentagon Pride” event. “From the founding of our nation to the Civil War, from the trenches of the two world wars to Korea and Vietnam and from Afghanistan to Iraq.” Austin did not mention by name any of the LGBTQ+ soldiers who fought during the founding of the United States or any of the other conflicts mentioned.

“They fought for our country even when our country wouldn’t fight for them,” Austin said, continuing to read from his notes. “And even as some were forced to hide who they were or hang up their uniforms. And today we reaffirm that transgender rights are human rights, and that America is safer and better when every qualified citizen can serve with pride and dignity. Now that’s real progress.”

In May Austin admitted that his Department of Defense had “no plan” to intercept a Chinese rocket debris falling to Earth, even if the debris endangered U.S. citizens:

Biden’s Military Puts West Point Cadets in Solitary Confinement If They Refuse COVID Vaccine

"They're being treated like criminals," a whistleblower told National File under condition of anonymity.

Military cadets at West Point Academy who refuse to take one of the controversial COVID vaccines are being put in solitary confinement, with more stringent restrictions than those who tested positive for the virus.

At West Point Military Academy, a number of cadets are currently rebelling against the push from the Biden administration and military higher-ups to take one of the controversial COVID-19 vaccines. 700 cadets who initially refused the vaccine were brought together into a meeting room, and were briefed as to the benefits of the vaccine. The number of cadets has now dwindled significantly after allegations of daily pressure by “senior officials” at the school, and rumors of reductions of leave. Some cadets relented and received the vaccine, while many left West Point due to the pressure.

Those who still refuse to take the vaccine are forced to wear masks everywhere, marking them out from everybody else who is vaccinated. A number of parents of those holdouts have now organized legal counsel on behalf of their children, with CDMedia reporting that they are “banding together to fight this perceived criminal behavior by those in power over their children.

An anonymous whistleblower, whose identity National File is protecting, gave a breakdown of the current restrictions that West Point cadets who refuse to take the COVID vaccine have to face. For those cadets returning for summer programs, they will have their two week leave shortened to one, as they have to spend 7 days in a quarantine that amounts to serious solitary confinement. The cadets are locked up for 23 hours each day in one room, and are only allowed out for one hour to walk or run outside.

Crucially, these cadets are not tested for COVID-19 before they are put into self-isolation. In fact, they are only tested at the end of the period. If they test negative, they will be released to their training programs. In a letter sent to the cadets deemed “high risk,” there was no detail as to what would happen if the cadet tested positive instead, in terms of whether they would be forced to endure another week or more of the solitary confinement. National File contacted West Point for details on this program via phone and email, but did not receive a response by the time of publication.

The new regime could not accurately be described as self-isolation or quarantine, as such programs already existed at West Point for cadets returning after the summer and Christmas breaks this academic year who tested positive. For those cadets, before the vaccination program kicked into high gear, they would be restricted at some points, but could also work out in the outside gyms, and leave their accommodation to go and order food, albeit being ordered to stay away from cadets who were not infected. These luxuries are not afforded to the cadets who refuse to take the vaccine, even though they may not have the virus.

West Point allegedly plans to round up all the cadets who are refusing the vaccine and transfer them into all one company or platoon based on how many they’re are. At the time of writing, around 50 cadets have not backed down. The whistleblower said this would likely be better for them, as they would not be around other troops who derogatorily shout at them, calling them “anti-vaxxers,” and instead would be with those who stand with them. “They’re being treated like criminals,” the whistleblower added. “They’re trying to protect other people’s rights and their rights are being compromised.”

National File reported last year on two successive suicides from the Colorado Springs Air Force, with students expressing to the academy that the deaths may have been linked to depression springing from the then extremely strict social distancing policies and punishments for violating the six-foot distance protocols. Following the deaths, looser restrictions were enacted.

Facebook itself, along with Twitter, also de-platformed the New York Post, America’s oldest newspaper, to keep information about Hunter Biden’s laptop from circulating.

Zuckerberg-Funded Nonprofits Spent $51 Million on Elections in Georgia

Two Mark Zuckerberg-funded nonprofits combined to spend $51 million in the state of Georgia on the November 3, 2020 general election and the January 5, 2021 U.S. Senate runoff elections in that state, according to two separate reports: one published by the Foundation for Government Accountability (FGA), and the second published by one of the Zuckerberg-funded nonprofits.

Private funding of election administration was virtually unknown in the American political system until the 2020 presidential election, when Facebook CEO and founder Mark Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan donated $350 million to the Center for Technology and Civic Life (CTCL), which provided funding to county and municipal governments around the country for election administration, and $69 million to the Center for Election Innovation and Research (CEIR), which provided funding to 23 state governments, primarily through the Secretary of State’s office, also for the funding of election administration.

More than 12 percent of the estimated $419 million Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan gave to the CTCL and CEIR in 2020 was spent in the state of Georgia, even though the state has only 3.2 percent of the country’s population. (Note: Georgia’s population in 2020, according to Census Bureau estimates released in April 2021 was 10.7 million, which is 3.2 percent of the Census Bureau’s estimate released of the United States 2020 population of 331.1 million.)

The Center for Technology and Civic Life (CTCL) spent $31 million in 40 counties in the November 3, 2020 general election, and an additional $14.5 million in 15 counties for the January 5, 2021 runoff election, according to a May 2021 report from the FGA.

Another Zuckerberg-funded group, the Center for Election Innovation and Research (CEIR), provided more than $5.5 million in funding for the November 3, 2020 general election directly to the office of Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, according to a March 2021 CEIR report:

Georgia used CEIR grant funds in both the November general election and January runoff election to encourage voters to apply for a ballot online. This approach sped up the process for both voters and election officials while also making it easier to track application status. Georgia also used the funds to counteract disinformation, issuing public service announcements warning voters of disinformation and encouraging them to report fraud to the Secretary of State hotline. Markey: ‘I Say No Deal’ If GOP Won’t Put Climate Provisions in Infrastructure

On Wednesday’s broadcast of CNN’s “AC360,” Sen. Ed Markey (D-MA) stated that he is against cutting a deal on an infrastructure package if Republicans won’t put climate provisions in the deal.

Markey said, “[I]f the Republicans say no climate, then I say no deal. Let’s just move on. Let’s move to the next phase where we work, using the reconciliation process, as you said, which only needs 51 votes, all Democrats plus Kamala Harris, in order to pass something. We can’t allow the procrastination, the obstinate obstructionism which the Republicans have engaged in in the past, 1994, 2010, we know what their strategy is. We’ve seen this movie before. We’ve given them enough time. If they come to the table, and they’re reasonable, let’s sit with them. But I just don’t think it’s going to happen after what we’ve seen in the first five months of the Biden administration.”
