Biden just said that he was told by the Joint Chiefs of Staff that Climate Change is our greatest threat. If that is the case, and they actually said this, he ought to immediately fire the Joint Chiefs of Staff for being incompetent!” Trump said in a statement on Thursday.

Clearly, if these individuals on the joint chiefs of staff really believe climate change is America’s biggest risk, they should be fired.

Texas Governor Abbot Says Next Week He Will Announce Plans to Build More Border Wall

Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced on Thursday he would soon reveal plans to resume construction of the border wall begun by former US President Donald Trump but ended by his successor, Joe Biden, in January.

Abbott held a televised "Border Security Summit" with a group of Texas judges, police chiefs, sheriffs and mayors on Thursday afternoon to lay out his plan to "secure the southern border and address the ongoing humanitarian crisis."

In addition to promising to resume construction on the halted border wall, the conservative governor said that state police would begin jailing people who crossed the border illegally.

“The border crisis is no laughing matter,” Abbott said. "It's not a tourism site for members of Congress to visit and then return to [Washington] DC and do nothing."

US Vice President Kamala Harris traveled to Guatemala and Mexico earlier this week to speak about immigration to the US, telling people in Guatemala City "do not come" to the US, arousing fury from members of her own Democratic Party. However, amid calls by Democrats in border states like Texas for her to visit the border itself and see the migrant detention facilities that have not just persisted but expanded since Trump left office, she has so far declined.

Abbott has already deployed 1,000 Texas Department of Public Safety troopers and National Guard members to the state's border with Mexico to address what he called a "crisis" of fentanyl, a powerful opioid 50 to 100 times more potent than morphine, being smuggled into the US.

"A Dangerous Precedent" - 3rd FDA Advisor Quits After Controversial Alzheimer's Drug Approval

Aside from the scientific uncertainty over whether amyloid plaque treatments are an approach worth continuing…

Despite the dominance of the amyloid hypothesis over the past few decades, evidence that links reductions in plaque levels to improvements in cognition is “thin, at best”, says Jason Karlawish, a geriatrician and co-director of the Penn Memory Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

“Desperation should drive the funding of science, not drive the way we interpret the science,” he says.

It turns out that despite the fact that not one member of the FDA Advisory Committee voted to approve Aduhelm, the FDA recently approved this Alzheimer therapy anyway, relying on an alternative measure of activity.

As Statnews reports, since the FDA's decision, three members of that FDA Advisory Panel have quit.

1. Neurologist J.Perlmutter, a member of the FDA’s expert panel said he quit the committee “due to this ruling by FDA without further discuss with our advisory committee.”

2. Neurologist David Knopman of the Mayo Clinic.

3. Dr. Aaron Kesselheim, director of Brigham and Women’s Hospital’s Program on Regulation, Therapeutics, and Law, said Aduhelm’s approval didn’t just set “a dangerous precedent” for what kind of evidence an Alzheimer’s therapy would need to show to get the green light, “but even more broadly for the idea that a company can turn around and at the last minute seek [accelerated approval] when their primary clinical endpoints in their trials don’t reach the level needed for FDA approval,” he told STAT in an email.

In his letter of resignation to the FDA, Kesselheim said Biogen’s Aduhelm “was probably the worst drug approval decision in recent U.S. history.”

Both Perlmutter and Kesselheim voted against the drug, while Knopman was recused from the November hearing as he had already staked out a public position critical of the drug’s trial results.

Earlier this year, Kesselheim, and two other panelists published a paper in JAMA outlining what they saw as the flaws of the therapy.

Nevada GOP Chair: Arizona State Senate Audit of Maricopa County 2020 Election Results Is a Transparent Model for Any State

Nevada Republican Party Chairman Michael McDonald told Breitbart News in an exclusive interview on Wednesday that the Arizona State Senate’s audit of Maricopa County’s 2020 election results is a transparent model for any state to follow.

McDonald visited the Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Phoenix where the audit is being conducted for five hours on Monday, and told Breitbart News it is “a very systematic, sterile, and transparent process.”

“I wanted to make sure we could use this somehow in Nevada. I found that the system they use is a system we can bring up to Nevada. Using the same type of process, this model would fit in any state in any country because it’s so transparent,” he added.

Joe Biden was certified as the winner of Nevada’s six Electoral College votes in the November 3, 2020 general election by a margin of less than 34,000 votes over former President Donald Trump. Biden was also certified as the winner of Arizona’s 11 Electoral College votes in the November 3, 2020 general election by a margin of less than 11,000 votes.

Unlike Arizona, where the governor is a Republican and both houses of the state legislature are controlled by Republicans, Nevada has a Democratic governor and both houses of the state legislature are controlled by Democrats.

The Nevada GOP chairman explained why he chose to visit the site of the Arizona State Senate audit of the 2020 Maricopa County election results.

“In Nevada during our last election, it was so egregious the way it was run,” McDonald told Breitbart News.

He added that during the November 3, 2020 general election, “we tried to observe the counting of the ballots” on election night throughout the state.

“It was like standing at the 30 yard line. We made an offer to Clark County. Let us video tape it [the vote counting process]. We’ll pay for it,” he added.

When that offer was rebuffed, “we appealed to the Secretary of State, Republican Barbara Cegavkse, but she did not intervene on that. We started to see the deck was stacked against us,” McDonald continued.

The Nevada GOP subsequently conducted its own preliminary investigation. The results, McDonald noted, were astounding.

Sen. Lindsey Graham: Trump Would Have Won 2020 Election If Wuhan Lab Leak Theory Was Proven

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) said former President Donald Trump would have won the 2020 election if investigations into the origin of COVID-19 and whether it escaped from a laboratory in Wuhan, China, were not politicized.

“If COVID-19 had come about due to a Chinese lab leak, the top question on voters’ minds in the 2020 election would have become who was going to stand up to China. Which candidate would hold the Chinese accountable for unleashing the COVID-19 plague on the world?” wrote Graham for Fox News on Thursday.

As a result, Graham argued, “Americans would have demanded a tougher line against the Chinese communist regime and would have been looking for a Commander in Chief to lead the charge,” and “there is no doubt in my mind this would have benefitted President Trump much more than Joe Biden.”

Trump early on began saying that COVID-19 “came from China” and sometimes called it the “Chinese virus” while highlighting how the virus emerged near the laboratory in Wuhan.

“However, instead of validating President Trump’s concerns, the scientists’ early dismissal created a narrative that President Trump was out of touch and spreading right-wing conspiracy theories,” said Graham.

“It was narrative that the elite media, who hated President Trump with a burning passion, was only too happy to help spread.”

Trump’s handling of the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus pandemic was the subject of scrutiny and controversy during the 2020 campaign, with media outlets repeatedly highlighting the number of virus deaths and cases reported each day.

Mayorkas Welcomed 31,000 Global Migrants in May

President Joe Biden’s border chief allowed roughly 31,000 global migrants into the United States in May, according to data released by the Department of Homeland Security.

The inflow from distant regions of the globe, such as India, Africa, South America, Europe, and Asia, is 62 times the 500 people accepted in May 2020.

Once in the United States, the migrants use their cellphones to boast of their success to many other migrants left behind in their poor home countries.

An additional 8,000 global migrants were blocked by the Title 42 healthcare barrier.

Many more global migrants are coming, in part, because of the videos shared by prior migrants. Michael Yon, an American journalist. want into the Panama jungle to describe the rising flow of migrants trying to reach the United States. In a May 29 report, he wrote:

We passed about 16 boats full of migrants yesterday deep in the Darien jungle. One crashed and capsized similar to this painting. We had already passed the waving migrants and did not see them crash after we passed them. We were going upstream deeper into the jungle. They were going downstream toward United States, ultimately. Most appeared to be African or Haitian.

Rep. Tom Tiffany (R-WI) visited one of the jungle trails in Panama used by international migrants, and told the June 2 Washington Times:

People were coming out of there, some could barely walk, most people were limping. Some people looked like they were about to get gangrene … “I saw a woman being wheelbarrowed into that health facility. We heard stories from villagers of babies washing down the river that had died en route through the Darien Gap. The human misery is awful.

The official numbers announced by DHS do not include the so-called “got-aways,” or the people who evaded border defenses. In April, roughly 40,000 job-seeking migrants — including some global migrants — sneaked across the border, and the May got-away number is likely to be somewhat larger.

Public Broadcasting Service journalist Yamiche Alcindor declared during an interview on MSNBC this week that European leaders are still nursing “deep scars” that may take “several election cycles” to heal after being “traumatized” by the “elbowing” of former President Donald Trump.

Alcindor said Thursday that “when I’ve been talking to experts, I’ve been trying to explain to them, I covered the NATO and the G7w hen President Trump was there. Those were the only summits as a reporter that I got to cover, and I said, ‘Well, what does a normal summit look like?’ And they said, ‘Well first, it doesn’t look anything like what you’ve experienced.”

“There, the, the, [sic] the impulses of President Trump, former President Trump, the elbowing of leaders, the calling into question not what should be done in these organizations but whether or not they should even exist,” Alcindor continued. “European leaders were frankly scared, a lot of them were traumatized, there are deep scars in these relationships, and that’s why we’re seeing President Biden really leaning in to what we’re calling the Biden doctrine…”

While an incident in which Trump appeared to shove aside the prime minister of Montenegro while at a NATO summit in Brussels, Belgium did draw media attention in May 2017, the prime minister did not appear upset, nor were any criminal charges filed or medical records detailing deep scars or trauma released.

National File also could not find any footage of Trump attacking world leaders with elbow strikes. In fact, when the former president appeared at a World Wrestling Federation “Battle of the Billionaires” event in 2007, he elected not to elbow Vince McMahon and instead floored him with a shove to the chest.

Trump to Biden: ‘Good luck’ with Putin meeting, ‘don’t fall asleep!’

Former President Donald Trump on Thursday wished President Biden luck in his upcoming meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin — and also encouraged him to stay awake.

“Good luck to Biden in dealing with President Putin—don’t fall asleep during the meeting, and please give him my warmest regards!” Trump said in an emailed statement.

Trump nicknamed Biden “Sleepy Joe” during last year’s presidential campaign and repeatedly claimed he was in mental decline.

His snarky well-wishes to Biden follow the president’s meeting Thursday with UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson. The leaders showered each other with compliments and Biden even gave Johnson a new bicycle.

Biden will meet Putin on Wednesday in Geneva, Switzerland, after meeting Queen Elizabeth II this weekend at Windsor Castle and then attending a NATO summit in Belgium.

It’s not yet clear if Biden and Putin will hold a joint press conference in Geneva. Trump was forced into damage control after a 2018 press conference in Finland with Putin, at which he appeared to accept Putin’s denial that Russia hacked Democrats in 2016.

Trump said in his new statement that “[a]s President, I had a great and very productive meeting in Helsinki, Finland, with President Putin of Russia. Despite the belated Fake News portrayal of the meeting, the United States won much, including the respect of President Putin and Russia.”

Trump continued that the FBI’s Russia investigation, which fruitlessly investigated him for possibly colluding with Russia, was to blame for impeding his foreign policy.

“Because of the phony Russia, Russia, Russia Hoax, made-up and paid for by the Democrats and Crooked Hillary Clinton, the United States was put at a disadvantage—a disadvantage that was nevertheless overcome by me,” Trump said.

He added: “As to who do I trust, they asked, Russia or our ‘Intelligence’ from the Obama era, meaning people like Comey, McCabe, the two lovers, Brennan, Clapper, and numerous other sleezebags, or Russia, the answer, after all that has been found out and written, should be obvious. Our government has rarely had such lowlifes as these working for it.”
