9 Ways China Created a Pandemic that Have Nothing to Do with the Wuhan Lab

The resurgence of a theory that the Chinese coronavirus first began infecting people through an accident at China’s Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) has rekindled outrage towards Beijing but presents the danger of obscuring the many actions China took to spread the disease regardless of where it originated.

A poll by the Trafalgar Group published this week revealed that most Americans believe the virus leaked from the laboratory, known to have been studying bat coronaviruses at the time of the onset of the outbreak. Concrete proof of the theory would likely lead to calls for China to lose its sovereign immunity in America, allowing Americans to sue the Communist Party for the damage done. House Minority Leader Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) told Breitbart News in an interview this week that Congress is, indeed, considering legislation to allow such lawsuits.

Americans, and all world victims of the Chinese pandemic, deserve answers regarding the virus’s origins, but the speculation has distracted from the facts already in plain sight: the actions the Communist Party took to hide the pandemic, actively spread disease, punish medical experts, and use global health agencies to spread misinformation. The Chinese Communist Party may or may not have created the virus itself, but all evidence indicates that it absolutely did create a pandemic whereas there would have been at worst a regional epidemic.

Below, nine of the most egregious actions by the Communist Party that created ideal conditions for the spread of contagious disease accelerated the spread of the virus once already detected and prevented prompt and appropriate containment.

Important to note while reading: China first alerted the W.H.O. to the discovery of a new pathogen in Wuhan on December 31, 2019. Wuhan officials locked down the city on January 23, 2020. Leaked Chinese government documents revealed the first diagnosis of novel coronavirus in Wuhan occurred on November 17, 2019. The government of Taiwan warned the W.H.O. in an email in late December that it had evidence of an infectious disease spreading within China.

Turning a Blind Eye to Illegal Wildlife Sales in Wet Markets

A study published this week by Scientific Reports, begun years prior to the pandemic and relying on close ties to vendors, revealed that consumers had access to nearly 50,000 live animals for sale as meat at the onset of the Wuhan coronavirus outbreak. Sellers had 31 different protected species of animals for sale between 2017 and 2019, the study noted. National Geographic has reported that among those species are wild animals such as snakes and porcupines.

VA School District to Appeal Ruling Reinstating Gym Coach Who Refused to Use Trans Pronouns

The Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS) plans to appeal a judge’s reinstatement of a high school gym coach who refused to address trans students by their preferred pronouns.

The Virginia school district put gym teacher Byron “Tanner” Cross on leave after he cited his Christian faith in opposition to the proposed Policy 8040, which would require educators to address trans students by the pronouns they prefer.

On Tuesday, the Twentieth Judicial Circuit of Virginia ordered Loudoun County to reinstate Cross, ruling that “his suspension was an act of retaliation following his exercise of his rights to free speech in that, 1) his speech was constitutionally protected, 2) the Defendants’ retaliatory action adversely affected the Plaintiff’s constitutionally protected speech, and 3) there was a casual relationship between the speech and the action.”

On Friday, the district announced that they would appeal the ruling to the Virginia Supreme Court.

Leesburg Elementary School and Loudoun County Public Schools experienced — and continue to experience — significant disruption since the May 25 School Board meeting during which Cross addressed the board. Many students and parents at Leesburg Elementary have expressed fear, hurt and disappointment about coming to school. Addressing those concerns is paramount to the school division’s goal to provide a safe, welcoming and affirming learning environment for all students.

While the school district claims that parents and students have reached out to them in fear after Cross’s testimony at the school board meeting, they don’t mention the considerable outpouring of support for Cross from parents and students alike. Specifically, one teacher, Jeremy Wright, called school board members the “Chardonnay Antifa” for their treatment of Cross.

“For the members of Chardonnay Antifa, here is your assignment with a copy of the First Amendment attached,” Wright said while holding up a packet of paper. “I’m going to leave this here, and I hope you learn something.”

As to Judge James Plowman’s ruling that the school district violated Cross’s 1st Amendment rights, the LCPS claims:

While LCPS respects the rights of public school employees to free speech and free exercise of religion, those rights do not outweigh the rights of students to be educated in a supportive and nurturing environment.

“It’s against my religion,” Cross said during his speech at the board meeting. “It’s lying to a child. It’s abuse to a child, and it’s sinning against our God.”

Cross has been on paid leave since May 27.

EcoHealth’s Peter Daszak Claims People ‘Misunderstand The Chinese Government’ While Defending Wuhan Lab.

Peter Daszak – who served as a World Health Organization COVID-19 investigator despite having close financial and personnel ties to the Wuhan Institute of Virology – appeared to defend the Chinese Communist Party from having to defend itself against the “lab leak” theory in a recent interview.

Daszak appeared to defend the Chinese Communist Party from so-called “conspiracy theories” – which count support from former Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director Robert Redfield – while speaking on a May episode of the podcast “This Week in Virology.”

“Your fourth scenario is laboratory incident, and this has been going on for a year. We started with deliberate creation, I think we’ve moved away from that. Now we’re into accidental release, and I would love to hear your thoughts on that,” the interview asks Daszak and two fellow World Health Organization COVID-19 investigators Marion Koopmans and Thea Kølsen Fischer.

“One thing that I heard from the lab director that I thought was very interesting, and he said, and he speaks okay English,” Daszak begins before adding that “we were asking him all these questions about, they call them rumors over there, we call them conspiracy theories, and he said basically, in sort of his version of English, we’ve not responded to those rumors because if you do that, you give them oxygen.”

Daszak, who runs the Anthony Fauci-funded EcoHealth Alliance which has come under scrutiny for funneling money to the Wuhan lab, also suggests that people “misunderstand the Chinese government” while revealing that a “senior level” Chinese Communist Party officials “runs” the lab:

“So I think people misunderstand the Chinese government, and he’s a Chinese government worker at the senior level running a lab, not speaking up about when they’re accused. The reason is, he stated quite clearly, they don’t want to give oxygen to these conspiracies. They’re unfounded. And every now and again, they make a statement: that is simply not true. What do you do?

Fellow interviewee Thea Kølsen Fischer also reveals that the WHO investigation was not a “lab audit” but merely a question-and-answer exercise with Wuhan lab personnel. “This is based only on questioning, not us coming with swabs, and testing, or serology, follow-up or looking into lab locks because it was not a lab audit. We were there to question and to interview together,” she divulged.

Facebook posts from Ben Shapiro consistently dominate engagement rankings of link posts, following reports suggesting the platform “shadow-boosts” his page.

Data tracked and collected by CrowdTangle and analysed by the Twitter page “Facebook’s Top 10,” consistently show that link posts from the official Ben Shapiro page are in the 10 most engaged posts on the platform by pages from the United States. This data includes reactions, comments, and shares on the posts, but not reach or link clicks, although with a high engagement, both latter categories are also likely to be rather high.

Not only are posts from Shapiro almost always in the top 10 posts on Facebook, but it is also not uncommon for his page to take multiple positions within the top 10, ranging up to even an overall majority of the top 10 spots.

School Cop Jailed for Making Child Porn of Students, Threatening ‘Tie Up & Choke’ Girl

Fort Wayne, IN — Former Fort Wayne school cop Andrew Beck was sentenced last Friday to 2 years behind bars for attempting to have sex with one of the school children he was supposedly assigned to protect. In September 2019, Beck was arrested after another student told a different school cop Beck was engaged in a relationship with a classmate.

An investigation ensued following the report and Beck was promptly arrested and charged with attempting to seduce a minor and possession of child pornography. According to the arrest affidavit, Beck sent the female student nude photos and videos of himself, had discussed having sex with the student, and had been driving by the teenage student’s home. He was also in possession of other forms of child pornography involving other students in the state of Indiana.

In September, following the criminal complaint involving the teen, the Allen County Sheriff’s Office and the Indiana State Police took over the investigation. Fort Wayne Police Chief Steve Reed recommended Beck be placed on unpaid leave and have his contract with the police department terminated. Reed released a statement which promised the community his department “will continue its efforts to make Fort Wayne a safe community and will never stop moving in a positive direction toward that goal”.

The investigation launched in April of 2019. Investigators looked into Beck’s Snapchat account and not only found inappropriate photos of the officer but uncovered the school cop was having discussions with 37 different girls, the majority of them being young, one of whom was also a 16-year-old student who lived in another Indiana county. According to WPTA News 21:

One of the girls is a student in Blackford County, and police said their conversations also included inappropriate photos and statements, even after Beck found out she was 16.

The other 16-year-old victim, who lived in Fort Wayne and who was at the center of the investigation, said Beck came by her home once in an unmarked police-issued SUV. She said she looked out her window and saw what appeared to be an unmarked police vehicle down the street from her home. According to WPTA’s investigation into the allegations:

Former President Donald Trump claims he has turned down two book deals as he is busy at work on a more important project.

Insiders suggest he has been irritated at how his vice president Mike Pence has signed a two-book, multimillion dollar deal.

Meanwhile Trump is pushing ahead with plans for a new social media platform and will appear via video screen on Saturday at My Pillow CEO Mike Lindell's political rally.

But on Friday, he issued a statement promising the 'book of all books' when the time was right.

'I turned down two book deals, from the most unlikely of publishers, in that I do not want to do such a deal right now,' he said.

'I’m writing like crazy anyway, however, and when the time comes, you’ll see the book of all books.

'Actually, I’ve been working on a much more important project right now.'

Presidential memoirs attract huge advances and generate reams of column inches.

After leaving office, Barack Obama and his wife Michelle reportedly struck a joint deal worth more than $65 million.

Like all former presidents, Trump would be expected to follow suit.

However, the publishing industry has become sensitive to criticism that it risks 'normalizing' an extraordinary, tumultuous period in American history by taking on books by conservative figures.

When publishing giant Simon & Schuster announced it was releasing former Pence's book, staff responded with a petition demanding it stop publishing authors associated with Trump.

News of the two-book deal apparently grated on Trump.

'As far as Trump is concerned, Pence is the number two,' said a former adviser. 'He shouldn't be getting the chance to tell his story first.'

Trump faces his own problems connecting with supporters. He remains banned from Facebook and Twitter, and recently closed his 'From the Desk of' webpage where he posted statements.

US Has Already Started Bombing Afghanistan From Outside of the Country

Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin on Thursday said the US military has already begun so-called “over the horizon capabilities” for operations in Afghanistan, which is Pentagon jargon for spying on and bombing the country from outside its borders.

Austin told the Senate Armed Services Committee that combat and surveillance missions are being conducted in Afghanistan by aircraft that were either launched from aircraft carriers in the Persian Gulf or from airbases that are located in Gulf nations. [Unclear against whom (vs the Taliban or vs ISIS) since there is supposed to be a US-Taliban ceasefire but which has been repeatedly broken by the US.]

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark Milley said the “vast majority” of MQ-9 Reaper drone missions inside Afghanistan are being flown from outside the country.

Austin declined to confirm a report from The New York Times that said the Pentagon was considering providing air support for the Afghan government in the event that a major city like Kabul appeared to be falling to the Taliban after US troops leave the country. Up until this point, US officials have only hinted at future airstrikes in Afghanistan after the withdrawal against groups like al-Qaeda or ISIS.

Authorizing limited strikes against the Taliban or any other groups inside Afghanistan after the withdrawal would just be a continuation of the war. The Taliban would also see it as a violation of the Doha agreement, which would make the group less likely to continue peace talks with the Afghan government.

Austin also told Congress that the Pentagon was still working on establishing a military base in a neighboring country to make bombing Afghanistan easier after the pullout. “What we are looking for is the ability to shorten the legs going forward by stationing some capability in neighboring countries. That is still a work in progress,” he said.

The US has reportedly tried to strike a basing deal with regional countries such as Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, or Uzbekistan. But so far, no agreements have been made. Pakistan has publicly denied that it would again host US troops, but the fact that US warplanes recently used Pakistani airspace to bomb Afghanistan raised questions about a possible secret deal between Islamabad and Washington.

On Tuesday, US Central Command said that the withdrawal process was over 50 percent complete, although the command is not disclosing troop numbers. When President Biden ordered the withdrawal, the US had somewhere between 2,500 and 3,500 troops in the country. Some are expected to stay behind to protect the US embassy in Kabul.

FBI tries to keep $86 MILLION in cash and millions of dollars in jewelry after raiding a Beverly Hills safety deposit box business 'used by criminals'

The FBI is fighting to keep $86 million in cash and millions of dollars worth of jewelry it confiscated while raiding a Beverly Hills safety deposit box business that was allegedly used by criminals, it has been revealed.

A March 9 indictment alleges that U.S. Private Vaults and its customers were laundering money and letting drug dealers store fentanyl, guns and cash in the boxes and claimed the business marketed itself to crooks.

Agents with the FBI and Drug Enforcement Agency seized the contents of every single box on March 22 after being granted a warrant. Guns, drugs and millions in cash were among items seized, but many other customers say the contents of their boxes were stolen even though they hadn't broken any laws.

Customers of U.S. Private Vaults have since filed a class action lawsuit in a desperate bid to retrieve their items. They claim neither they nor their seized belongings - many of which have great sentimental value - are in any way linked to crime.

But prosecutors have argued that the FBI is justified in keeping the seized contents, The Los Angeles Times reported.

Joseph Ruiz, 47, rented a safety deposit box from U.S. Private Vaults in February 2021 as a safe place to keep his savings, according to the Institute for Justice - a libertarian organization that files lawsuits relating to constitutional rights.

He kept $57,000 at U.S. Private Vaults because he distrusts banks and had obtained the money from two legal settlements, one after he suffered a spinal injury in a car accident and another for suing his apartment building for code violations, he told The Los Angeles Times.

'They just kind of stole my money,' Ruiz said.

Dr. Anthony Fauci has been under extreme fire for his leaked emails that show he was dishonest about masks and COVID-19 for over a year.

During an interview with MSNBC on Wednesday, Dr. Anthony Fauci looked visibly irritated when reacting to the recent backlash he has been facing in relation to his controversial emails that were recently dropped.

Fauci’s emails were shocking to many Americans considering they painted a much different picture than what Fauci has been telling the public. Instead of addressing his lies and deceptions, Fauci is lashing out at Republicans.

“A lot of what you’re seeing as attacks on me, quite frankly, are attacks on science. If you are trying to get at me as a public health official and a scientist, you’re really attacking, not only Dr. Anthony Fauci, you’re attacking science. And anybody that looks at what’s going on clearly sees that,” Fauci whined.

Republican Senator Rand Paul had some things to say about Fauci’s constant claims of “following the science.”

“My complaint with Dr. Fauci is precisely that he doesn’t follow the science,” Paul said to the Washington Examiner. “By ignoring the validity of naturally acquired immunity, and consequently not prioritizing the vaccine to individuals not yet infected by COVID 19, thousands of deaths have and will occur when demand for the vaccine outstrips the supply as we are seeing in India.”

Fauci has been getting grilled by Republican lawmakers in response to his flip-flop stances that were highlighted in a recent email drop. During an interview on Wednesday with Fox News host Sean Hannity, Republican Senator John Kennedy unleashed on Dr. Anthony Fauci, telling him to “cut the crap.”

“I know Dr. Fauci, I like Dr. Fauci, I respect Dr. Fauci,” Kennedy said during the interview. “But Dr. Fauci needs to cut the crap. This isn’t about Dr. Fauci. It’s not about his feelings, and I’m sorry if his feelings were hurt. You know, maybe he ought to buy an emotional support pony.”

“But we’re not debating dance moves on TikTok here,” Kennedy slammed. “We’re talking about millions of human lives.”

“Dr. Fauci gave a lot of U.S. taxpayer money to the Wuhan lab for Chinese scientists to research bat coronaviruses,” Kennedy also said during the interview. “Neither Dr. Fauci nor any of his people can guarantee us that the Chinese scientists didn’t use that money to do gain-of-function research and turn a normal virus into a super-charged virus. They weren’t monitored, Dr. Fauci and his people didn’t monitor the lab, and it’s not like it hasn’t happened before.”

“Since day one, Dr. Fauci and his expert friends have told us, look, the virus occurred naturally. It jumped from a bat to a host and then to human beings. Well, it’s been a year. Where is the proof? Where is the smoking bat? Do you really think if China could prove this virus occurred naturally in nature it would withhold that evidence? No it would scream it from the rooftop to get the world off its back,” Kennedy said, adding that Fauci “needs to hit these things head-on, otherwise it’s going to undermine public health, people’s confidence in public health, and the American people are going to end up trusting Dr. Pepper more than Dr. Fauci.”

GOP lawmaker visits Darien Gap ‘pipeline’ that pumps tens of thousands of migrants to southern border

Rep. Tom Tiffany (R-WI) appeared on the Sara Carter Show to swap stories with Carter on both of their recent trips to Central America. Carter recently returned from Guatemala and Tiffany just returned from Panama. What Tiffany discovered was a “pipeline that runs all the way through Central America, Northern South America, Central America” right up to the southern border.

“First of all, this is not just about people in Mexico or Central America,” Tiffany said. In fact, people from countries outside of Central America make up the second largest group of people that Border Patrol officers encounter at the border. Instead, people from over 160 countries use this pipeline at the Darien gap to get to the southern border tens of thousands at a time.

“And it’s a harrowing journey,” Carter said. “The Darien gap is one of the most, if not the most dangerous place on planet Earth.”

Tiffany stayed in a town called Meteti along the Darien gap to experience what some of these migrants go through. Locals told him that thousands of people a day travel through this town, but there’s only one doctor and he works in a medical tent. And these migrants are not without injury.

“We saw people coming out of the jungle, they had trench foot, some people look like they were about to get gangrene,” Tiffany said. “I saw a woman being wheeled borrowed into a medical facility.”

War correspondent and previous guest on the show Michael Yon has stayed in the Darien gap for weeks, reporting on the recent migrations. Yon estimates that 1 in 7 migrants die along the journey.

Mike Brown Sr Joins Group Demanding To Know Where Tens of Millions of Donations to BLM Have Been Spent

Michael Brown Sr, the father of Mike Brown from Ferguson Missouri, has joined a group of activists demanding to know where all the millions of donations to Black Lives Matter have gone. The BLM group has long been known to be a political assembly of Marxist organizers from various activist groups who use race as their method and manner to achieve political objectives. The Obama-era DOJ civil rights division headed by Tom Perez, now the DNC Chairman, originally worked on merging the “Dream Defenders” group with the more radical Black Panther movement right after Trayvon Martin in Orlando, Florida.

The regional organizers for the effort stemmed from the Chicago network of revolutionary communists (RevCom), the original political group who created the Obama movement in 2005 to 2007.

Black Lives Matter, RevCom, Democrat Socialists of America, NoI, The New Black Panther movement, the AME church network and the congressional black caucus all benefit from the larger network. However, the BLM group is the current cause which used their political influence to capture millions in donations from corporations and funneled massive amounts of money into the DNC coffers for 2020 (Tom Perez as chair).

As the original organizers are highlighted for spending on their own lavish lifestyles, the “victim families” are now recognizing the intent behind their usefulness and also how easily they can be dispatched once the money has been assembled.

Al-Nusra Militants Storm Idlib Museum, Smash Ancient Statues

The militants of Jabhat al-Nusra stormed the Idlib Museum, and destroyed a number of antiquities, statues and mosaic paintings.

Local sources said that the Uzbek jihadists belonging to Al-Nusra had destroyed statues and monuments in the museum, without revealing their motives. Al-Nusra has seized the museum since it imposed its control over Idlib in 2015. No official clarification is issued regarding the incident.

According to the sources, the museum has become vulnerable to systematic thefts and looting since the Al-Nusra took control of the city, as its leaders captured Syrian antiquities and sold them to brokers and smugglers who in turn worked to transfer them to Turkey, which now includes large quantities of stolen antiquities from Syria.

Previous reports indicate that Turkish intelligence was involved in the systematic theft of Syrian antiquities in cooperation with armed factions such as the “Al-Nusra Front” in Idlib, and the pro-Ankara factions in northern Syria.

According to UNESCO thousands of artifacts are transported annually from Syria via Turkey.

The Syrian government is demanding on a regular basis the United Nations and international organizations to hold Turkey accountable for its crimes against Syria, including the looting of antiquities.

Federal Reserve Warns Employees Not to Use 'Biased' Terms Like 'Founding Fathers'

Employees of the Federal Reserve received some guidance from the Board of Governors back in April on how to communicate properly both in-house and with the public. As you might expect, it was an adventure in wokeness.

“Try to avoid words and phrases that may be considered offensive, pejorative, or prejudiced (whether consciously or unconsciously), as these can distract your audience from the ideas/information you’re trying to convey,” the guidance explained.

For most rational, sane human beings, it’s “distracting” to have this painfully conscious attempt to rid the language of perceived “bias.” In fact, it’s downright jarring when you’re forced to try and understand why someone wouldn’t want to communicate as clearly as possible.

The guidance contains a list of “biased terms” to avoid, including “blacklist,” “grandfathered,” and “Founding Fathers.” Employees are instructed to use terms like “denied,” “legacy,” and “Founders” instead.

The Fed also said the terms “whitelisted, “manpower,” “manmade,” and “singular generic pronouns” – such as “he,” she,” “his,” and “hers” – should be replaced with more “bias-free” alternatives like “allowed,” “artificial,” and pronouns such as “they,” “their” and “theirs.”

This is not an attempt to eliminate “bias.” The bias will be there no matter what words are used. It’s silly to imagine otherwise. This is no less than an attempt to eliminate gender distinctions and mutilate the language to make it incomprehensible.

Only then can we be properly instructed in what something really means.

Amazingly, The New York Times – 22 May 2021 – predicts massive population reduction over the next few decades.

“Fewer babies’ cries.

More abandoned homes.

Toward the middle of this century, as deaths start to exceed births, changes will come that are hard to fathom.”

And –

“All over the world, countries are confronting population stagnation and a fertility bust, a dizzying reversal unmatched in recorded history that will make first-birthday parties a rarer sight than funerals, and empty homes a common eyesore.”

And it continues,

“Maternity wards are already shutting down in Italy. Ghost cities are appearing in northeastern China. Universities in South Korea can’t find enough students, and in Germany, hundreds of thousands of properties have been razed, with the land turned into parks.”

Is it all true? It remains to be verified. Omission?

At no time does the article mention the eugenist nature of deliberate population reduction, in connection with the covid plandemic, the coerced and by many accounts poisonous – vaccination campaign, with a non-vaccine, but instead a novel, totally untested mRNA-type “gene therapy” which the US CDC has allowed to be applied as an “emergency measure” in these dire circumstances of a pandemic, that actually lacks all characteristics of a pandemic, but has to be pumped up to make it appear as a pandemic – with literally almost all deaths appearing from whatever causes – even car accidents – can be – and “must” be categorized as covid deaths.

In the US, hospitals get paid US$ 13,000 for every covid-diagnosed patient and US$ 39,000 for every “covid-patient” put on a ventilator. Earlier this year, doctors in NY have come to the conclusion that more than 80% off ventilator patients do not survive the ventilator. See this.

But, be that as it may – the current “loosening-up” of covid restrictions that the US and many European countries are experiencing, is bringing out happiness, smiles, festive thinking and cheerful feeling by the population – in the firm hope the plandemic is over. This may be just a ruse and prelude to much worse to come. Hopefully this suspicion is wrong.

While there is no concrete evidence, there is this uneasy feeling that with the later northern-hemisphere fall approaching, we will be hit by a “new” lab-made “variant” – much stronger, that requires more and more oppressive, dictatorial government measures, more coerced vaxxing with gene-therapy that could affect mankind’s neurological system. CARBIS BAY, England–The Group of Seven richest democracies on June 12 sought to counter China’s growing influence by offering developing nations an infrastructure plan that would rival Chinese leader Xi Jinping’s multi-trillion-dollar Belt and Road initiative.

The G7, whose leaders are meeting in southwestern England, has been searching for a coherent response to the growing assertiveness of Xi after China’s surging economic and military rise over the past 40 years.

U.S. President Joe Biden and other G7 leaders hope their plan, known as the Build Back Better World (B3W) initiative, will provide a transparent infrastructure partnership to help narrow the $40 trillion needed by developing nations by 2035, the White House said.

“This is not just about confronting or taking on China,” a senior official in Biden’s administration said. “But until now we haven’t offered a positive alternative that reflects our values, our standards, and our way of doing business.”

The G7 and its allies will use the initiative to mobilize private-sector capital in areas such as climate, health, and health security, digital technology, and gender equity and equality, the White House added.

It was not immediately clear how exactly the plan would work or how much capital it would ultimately allocate.

China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) scheme, which Xi launched in 2013, involves development and investment initiatives that would stretch from Asia to Europe and beyond.

More than 100 countries have signed agreements with China to cooperate in BRI projects like railways, ports, highways, and other infrastructure.

Critics say Xi’s plan to create a modern version of the ancient Silk Road trade route to link China with Asia, Europe, and beyond is a vehicle for the expansion of Communist China. Beijing says such doubts betray the “imperial hangover” of many Western powers that humiliated China for centuries.

Biden to hold solo press conference after Putin, avoiding risk of mistakes while sharing stage and keeping control of narrative

President Joe Biden will hold a solo press conference following his June 16 summit in Geneva with President Vladimir Putin, avoiding the risk of blundering while sharing the stage with his Russian counterpart.

“We expect this meeting to be candid and straightforward, and a solo press conference is the appropriate format to clearly communicate with the free press the topics that were raised in the meeting – both in terms of areas where we may agree and in areas where we have significant concerns,” a White House official told reporters on Saturday at the G7 meeting in Carbis Bay, England.

That approach will allow Biden, 78, to avoid having open disagreements with Putin in front of the press, as well as prevent the 68-year-old Russian leader from steering the conversation. It will also prevent embarrassing or controversial interactions, such as when former President Donald Trump was excoriated after his 2018 meeting with Putin in Helsinki for siding with his Russian counterpart on claims the Kremlin didn’t interfere in the US presidential election.

The Geneva summit comes at a time when US-Russia relations are – in Putin’s words, earlier this week – at the “lowest point in recent years.” Biden has said he wants to pursue a “stable and predictable relationship” with Moscow, but he’ll come to Switzerland armed with accusations that Russia is allegedly responsible for recent ransomware attacks on US infrastructure, and he’ll likely seek to continue portraying himself to the press as tough on the Kremlin.

Beyond hacking attacks, contentious points of discussion may include allegations of human-rights abuses on both sides, nuclear arms control, and the conflict in Ukraine. Biden could also rehash allegations of Russian interference in US elections.

“The United States will respond in a robust and meaningful way if the Russian government engages in harmful activities,” Biden told reporters at the G7 meeting.

Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov told TASS on Saturday that Putin would hold his own press conference after the summit, speaking to Kremlin pool reporters and other journalists. Speaking to the press separately is “the practice of the American side,” he added, insisting that it didn’t reflect gloomy expectations for the meeting.

While Biden has extensive foreign policy experience, summits with US commanders-in-chief are old hat for Putin. Biden will become the fifth US president to meet with Putin since 1999.

BAMWX's Vince Bryan says the moisture deficit in the soil is "a concern" as it may impact plant development. Soil moisture plays a crucial role in agricultural monitoring, drought and flood forecasting, forest fire prediction, and water supply management.

Soil moisture observations can alert of impending drought, such as what's been underway in the Western US this year.

What this means is that soil moisture deficits can dry crops and make them more vulnerable to pests. Even short-term drought can cause damage to crops, mainly during critical stages of crop development, such as after planting or during flowering.

If the drought persists, crop yields could come underestimates this year and result in elevated agricultural prices.

No Vax, No Phone - Pakistan Province Blocks Sim Cards Of The Unvaccinated

Pakistan is expected to spend more than a billion dollars in the next fiscal year to import COVID-19 vaccines to inoculate around 100 million people. The trouble is, anti-vaccine groups have sprung up around the country and have deterred some from taking the vaccine. In response, one local government in Pakistan has a new weapon in its war chest against vaccine hesitancy: disable the SIM cards of mobile phones of people who decline to get jabbed, according to RT News.

Punjab Health Minister Yasmin Rashid decided on Thursday during a meeting with the Punjab provincial government and military officials that anyone who denied the COVID-19 jab will have their SIM cards disabled at "a certain time."

"We are doing all we can to compel people to get vaccinated… The government cannot allow individuals, who do not want to get vaccinated, to risk lives of those who are already vaccinated," Rashid said. She added that a timeline from when a person denies the jab to SIM card denial would be hashed out once the new measure received formal approval from the National Command and Operation Center, which supervises Pakistan's national response to COVID-19.

After the meeting, Punjab's Primary and Secondary Health Department tweeted: "Mobile SIMS of people not getting vaccinated may be blocked, it was decided in Cabinet meeting under the chair of Minister for Health Dr. Yasmin Rashid at Civil Secretariat. The government will open walk-in vaccination of over 18 years of age group."

There was no word on when the SIM card blocking would begin.

However, provincial officials announced the plan was moving ahead:

"Final decision has been taken to block the mobile SIM cards of people not getting vaccinated," department spokesman Syed Hammad Raza told Pakistan's Dawn newspaper.

Critics said Punjab's new measure is a dangerous move by the government.

"This is a regressive step as it affects the right to freedom of speech of citizens. What is required is to raise awareness about vaccinations, and not coercion," Prasanth Sugathan, legal director at India's Software Freedom Law Centre, told The National.

"During the pandemic, mobile phones are important for people to connect with others and to receive information," Sugathan said.

Besides SIM card bans, those who deny being vaccinated might also be restricted from restaurants, malls, and parks.

This is absolutely absurd, and imagine if a liberal-run metro area in the US resorted to this no jab, no phone measure - people would lose their minds and likely rebel.
