NC Superintendent Shut Parents Out Of School Board Meeting Using Emergency Powers So She Didn’t Have to Hear Arguments Against Critical Race Theory

In Guilford County, North Carolina, the Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Sharon L. Contreras, refuses to allow the public to attend school board meetings according to local activists fighting Critical Race Theory. Take Back Our Schools founder says Contreras is using emergency powers to shut them out.

In a video from Thursday, a group of parents yells as the door to the school close, and a school board member scoots inside:

A news reporter explains the situation, and Contreras is heard saying :

“The board meetings are not in the purview of the Superintendent. It is in the chair and the vice-chair of the school board.”

The parents’ group disagrees about Contreras’s concern for the district and meets her behavior with scrutiny.

How funny that Sharon Contreras yet lies again. Has she forgotten that she was given and still holds all the power since last March 2020?”

In the above video, a newscaster from local North Carolina describes the scene where a small group of concerned parents has gathered outside of a school board meeting outside. They are denied access to the meeting, so they can not enter their public comments about the topics on the agenda that night.

Mitchell told The Gateway Pundit that Contreras hasn’t allowed the parent’s group to speak at the meetings because she is holding on to her ‘Emergency Powers’ at a critical time when parents have a lot to say.

Mitchell told Gateway Pundit:

“We would like to know why she is doing that. There are a lot of concerns about this district because it seems like Greensboro is the first in many things. We were the first at the Lunch Counter and other historic events. It seems like we are the first parent’s group to be shut out of School Board Meetings now too.”

“At the March 13th, 2020 Guilford County School Board mtg, the board voted to give Superintendent Sharon Contreras full emergency power over Guilford County Schools. Currently it has been brought up two times to take back their power and has failed. It was at that time until further notice all in person school board mtgs would stop. The public could make public comments through the GCS public comments email. The issue was many were not getting responses and felt that they were not being heard. Per the Chapter 115C of the North Carolina General Statutes, in addition to various other state statutes, school board meetings are to be open meetings and public records. Currently meetings are still closed to the public and FOIA requests are not responded to,” Mitchell said.

The group intended to make it peaceful, and it was, but they are still frustrated.

Iraq Threatens To Shoot Down Turkish Fighters, Drones Over Its Territory

Iraqi ultimatum to Turkey: ” We will shoot down your F-16. Leave immediately ”

An important piece of information was provided by the Russian media aviapro (LINK), as it states in an article that the Iraqi President asked Turkey to immediately stop the Turkish military operation in the country.

“After Turkey arbitrarily launched a military operation against the Kurds on Iraqi soil, the President of the country reacted quite harshly to Erdogan’s actions and the Iraqi Ministry of Defense threatened to use Pantsir-S against Turkish F-16 fighters and against Bayraktar TB2.”

What preceded

Just 24 hours ago, at least three people living in a refugee camp were killed in northern Iraq on June 5th by a Turkish air strike, said Rasad Kelali, a member of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan party. The operation, in the camp housing thousands of Kurdish refugees from Turkey, came three days after Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan warned Iraq that Ankara would “clean up” the camp. The Turkish government claims that Kurdish fighters are taking refuge there.

An Iraqi security official, speaking on condition of anonymity, confirmed to media that the airstrike had killed and injured people, without giving an exact number of casualties.

Kurdish strikes against Turks

A few days ago, the Kurds shared a video of a strike that took place between June 1-3, against Turkish invaders in the Afrin area. A total of 12 Turkish soldiers and 2 mercenary terrorists were killed and 7 others were wounded.

In the past year, Turkish forces have intensified their attacks on Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) bases in northern Iraq, mainly in a 30-kilometer strip of land.

On Thursday, Erdogan said Mahmur, a camp 180km south of the Turkish border that has housed thousands of refugees for a decade, is a “hatchery” of fighters and must be tackled. The camp was set up in the 1990s, when thousands of Kurds in Turkey crossed the border, an action Ankara claims was deliberately provoked by the PKK.

The Mahmur camp was targeted by Turkey a year ago, but there were no reports of casualties. A senior Turkish official said it was now a priority for Ankara.

Later last Saturday, holding Kurdish flags and shouting “our voices are the voices of freedom against the occupation”, dozens of people marched in Iraq’s Sulaymaniyah province, denouncing the Turkish intervention. “Innocent women and children are being killed.

“Turkey wants to occupy Kurdistan but we, the Kurds here together with the PKK, will fight until the last hour of our lives,” said one protester, Omid Saleh.

In a separate incident five Peshmerga fighters (Iraqi Kurds) were killed and seven wounded in a PKK ambush, the Peshmerga ministry said.

The Peshmerga convoy was attacked on Mount Matin, near the town of Amedi, while conducting a routine check in the area. “The Peshmerga ministry is calling for immediate action by the Iraqi federal government to put an end to the ongoing Turkish military operations in the Kurdistan region,” the statement said. He also called on the PKK to “transfer its struggle elsewhere, away from Kurdish homes and the Kurdistan region.”

Marlow to Tucker: Big Tech and Media Cover-up of Covid Origins Is ‘Really About Protecting Corporate Business Models in China’

Throughout the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic and late into the 2020 election cycle, media and Democrats dismissed the possibility that China was responsible for the virus. In some cases, mainstream media and big tech censored those that suggested a China connection.

According to Breitbart editor-in-chief Alex Marlow, author of Breaking the News: Exposing the Establishment Media’s Hidden Deals and Secret Corruption, there are countless examples of the media giving China a pass, which he suggests was part of the effort to make then-President Donald Trump “the bad guy” instead of China.

Alex, thanks so much for coming. This does seem — look, this is not political inherently, and speaking for myself, I would say this, no matter who is the President, someone I voted for, gave money to, and loved. It doesn’t matter. This is about public health.

How can you live in a country that doesn’t allow physicians to talk about the data they’re recording and observing about who is dying? I mean, what is this?

MARLOW: Yes, Tucker. Thank you so much for having me and thanks for the kind words about my book.

And when I started researching, and I took on this project for a year, I knew that the left and the media wanted to make Trump the bad guy when it came to coronavirus, not China, or anyone else for that matter, to make it about Trump. But the more I dug into it, the more I realized it was really about protecting corporate business models in China.

Where NBC — it is part of NBC Universal does huge business in China; ABC part of ABC Disney, huge business in China; Bloomberg, which we got into on your show last time I was here, but also the Silicon Valley tech giants. If they are not in China yet, they want to be in China someday soon. And we’ve already outsourced so much of our free speech to places like YouTube.

Now, we’re outsourcing our science to them. We were told that Johnson was kicked off because he defied the World Health Organization, the same World Health Organization that’s basically a subsidiary of China, Tucker. Why did Dr. Tedros, a guy who is not a medical doctor, how come he is the most powerful doctor in the world today? Well, he was China’s pick, even after he botched the response to a cholera outbreak in Africa. The list goes on and on.

CARLSON: You’ve got to wonder though, is there a point at which it just doesn’t work that everything that’s good about America is rooted in free speech, freedom of conscience, free inquiry? If we don’t have any of those things, then kind of what’s the point?

MARLOW: That’s my feeling as well, which is why it’s so good to see independent outlets sprouting up and people taking out on their own and trying to go around these tech censors. But as you correctly know, it is not enough just to build your own Twitter, because these places are monopolies, which is why it’s so important that people start using antitrust, thinking about breaking up these companies.

But when they are trusting PolitiFact and Mark Zuckerberg with their science and not the actual doctors, we know that the system is broken, and now it’s potentially costing lives.

CARLSON: Yes, that’s why they are going to get people killed with this. It looks that way.

Sex Ed Teacher Leaves Post at Elite Private School After Showing Masturbation Cartoon to First Graders

A “health and wellness” teacher at the elite and “progressive” Dalton School in New York City will not be returning in the fall after parents expressed outrage that the curriculum for first graders included a cartoon about masturbation.

Justine Ang Fonte, who touts a career of “disrupting” health education, used cartoons produced by the far-left Advocates for Youth that are part of its Amaze “educational” series.

The cartoon features an adult woman and a young boy and girl who discuss how they like to touch themselves.

“Hey, how come my penis gets big sometimes and points up in the air?” the little boy asked.

The woman tells him that it is called an erection.

“Sometimes I touch my penis because it feels good,” the boy said in the cartoon.

“Sometimes, when I’m in my bath or when Mom puts me to bed, I like to touch my vulva too.”

The woman also tells the children they should use proper names like penis and vulva instead of nicknames.

Fonte defended the lesson and said the word masturbation is not used and that it taught children not to touch their “private parts” in public but in private.

Fonte was not let go but left of her own accord and Jim Best, the headmaster of the school, defended her and the school’s heath and wellness programs.

“Throughout her tenure at Dalton, Justine Ang Fonte has helped to develop an exemplary K-12 Health and Wellness program. Dalton — our faculty, staff, administration, and trustees — continue to stand firmly behind this program and those who teach it,” Best said in a statement, :which went on

At faculty and staff meetings this week, Justine announced her decision to leave Dalton to focus on her work as an independent health educator. She has been working toward this goal for over a year. We support Justine’s aspirations and look forward to honoring her accomplishments as the academic year comes to a close.

Kamala Harris at D.C. Pride Parade: Transgender Community Must Be ‘Protected’

Vice President Kamala Harris and her husband, second gentleman Doug Emhoff, made an appearance Saturday at the Pride parade in downtown Washington, D.C.

During her appearance, Harris spoke to those in attendance and called for the Senate to pass the Equality Act, legislation the U.S. House of Representatives passed in February which would eliminate the legal definition of biological sex, cater to gender ideology, and designate protection for the unborn as “pregnancy” discrimination.

“We need to pass the Equality Act,” Harris said. “We need to make sure that our transgender community and our youth are all protected. We need still protections around employment and housing.”

“There is so much more work to do and I know we are committed and we understand the importance of this movement and our roles of leadership in this ongoing movement,” Harris added. “So happy Pride, everyone.”

During Harris’s time at the downtown Pride parade, one unidentified individual asked her when she would visit the border, a question she has faced numerous times over the last few months but has not fully answered.

“When are you going to the border,” the individual shouted as Harris walked down the street and entered a vehicle to quickly escape the crowd and questions.

Harris, who has been tasked to oversee the crisis at the southern border by President Joe Biden, has yet to make a trip to the U.S.-Mexico border, telling NBC’s Lester Holt, who pressed her on the issue, that she will visit “at some point.”

“At some point, you know, we are going to the border,” Harris told Holt. “We’ve been to the border. So this whole … thing about the border. We’ve been to the border. We’ve been to the border.”

“You haven’t been to the border,” Holt responded.

“And I haven’t been to Europe,” Harris said as she laughed. “And I mean, I don’t understand the point that you’re making. I’m not discounting the importance of the border.”
