Not really. There are 93 US Attorneys each with dozens, if not hundreds, of lawyers working for them

and they're probably each handling dozens of cases at a time with GJs running all the time. It is

infeasible that they would brief the AG on every filing and subpoena they issue, and certainly wouldn't

if they didn't want the AG to know what they were doing.

Nope, at least, there's no law. I think it might be a bad idea anyway. It would severely limit the

ability of a prosecutor to conduct proper GJ inquiries if he had to get permission every time

someone important was being looked at, plus it would likely tip them off to what he was doing.

On top of that, it could wind up being a burden to the people above him just due to volume.
