2006?
Where is this 1933 coming from?
Too bad the images won’t display for me, i read 2006. Did not see an image with 1933. The bill this anon saw in the image was much more modern.
Test
Just now able to get the images again, trying to catch up.
The bill under question is 2006, no?
The series goes back to 1933, the beginning of GS and non-backed bills, yes? But the 888 bill is 2006, right?
Just curios
I cant find an actual 1933 yet, but this one is 1935 silver certificate
Here’s an interesting one, a 1933 secretary sig, on a 1928 bill. That’s weird.
See, now we’re talking.
The bill in the original posting is simply not from 1933. I don’t know how/why that got lodged in the conversation. However, there IS plenty of shuffling around of printing styles, and confusion between a gold/silver backed bill, vs. Notes and Certificates from that era.
Here’s an interesting one, very similar to the 888 posting. Don’t know the significance of the 65 vs. 66
So far, the only particular uniqueness of the 888posting, to explain the high value, seems to be the serial number.
Beyond that, I don’t know yet.
If the bill’s details are insignificant beyond the serial number… the attention getting part is still the ability of a skillful person (ehem), possessing the bill, and posting a pic of it to coincide with a kunposting number, two seconds on one side, one second on the other. IF the poster had been off just a little, total dud for all the effort.
Kinda think the stunt is more than just showing off some clever hacker-skill. Unique set of circumstances for just ‘showing off’.
65PPQ, instead of a 66, because it’s been written on? Or because the serial is non-special?
Getting a bit off track, but who’s David R. Koble defacing a bill anyway ? (not that i care)
Informative.
Yours are the regular Silver Certificates.
Where as this one is a “NOTE” from 1928. Those supplementals, right?
It makes sense that if the coins at the time from GB, Portugal, France and Spain where hard and reliable metal refinement, totally useable in circulation among free people. In the 18th century, as a British colony New England used Spanish silver and ‘pieces of eight’ (a silver dollar literally cut into eight equal-ish pieces) served and small change before nickels, quarters and dimes.
The fucked-up US Currency today (mostly because of over printing unrestrained fiat), is a relatively NEW problem and can be fixed without completely starting the economy over from scratch. It could be a little difficult, but not impossible, and actually necessary and important to have a healthy country again.
To be clear, none of the ones you showed are lowly “Notes” replacing silver, yours are actual Certificates REPRESENTING silver. The difference is everything.
That might be what this whole ‘paper chase’ is about stemming from the 888 post. I don’t know.
China/CCP are not our besties, but not the real problem either. The problem IS IN DC here. Treasury/Congress falsifying money into existence, and spending it on crap, debasing all the labors of the people. THAT is vastly worse than anything CCP/China could EVER do to us. Just say’n
True
If it were proven that Congress KNEW they were debasing the currency… can we hang them?
It’s that last part that makes it Sedition and Treason… something NO OTHER COUNTRY in the world, or even SPACE INVADERS, could ever do.
Pics for attention
We could save some money with this budget plan
