the fussing over it seems a lot like the arguments that used to happen about tube amp distortion verse transistor amp distortion.

there is never enough information provided with that graphic for me to determine that it's a useful graph. why? because what is the size of the container?
if you made the container of the water a slightly different size the 432 would be the mushed one, and the 440 would be the one with the ray pattern.
plus what makes one of the patterns 'better' or worse. I see that in one there is a dead zone. in the other it is saturated in the center.
the vessel in which that water is contained, as well, has it's own resonance.
so for me that patter you get is perhaps also contingent on the quality (dimensions and material) of the vessel in which you have place your water.
