All over the news that schools are renaming holidays off. Is this really a new thing for some districts? I’m fairly sure that for years Columbus Day & MLK Jr day have been listed on school calendars as teacher in-service days. Didn’t most of this change in the 90’s?

I really beginning to notice how different peoples’ lives have been across the country. I’m not sure if I phrased that correctly. I grew up outside of a major city. My elementary school had computers when I think they weren’t in every school yet. I remember when the internet was new & we had a class in school to teach us how to use it. This was over 20 years ago. It never occurred to me that it wasn’t like this for everyone & I am guessing there are a lot of people who don’t realize that this technology is that old.
