DOJ sought account information of top Trump White House lawyer: report

This follows a separate report of the Trump DOJ seizing records of House Democrats

Apple informed former Trump administration White House counsel Don McGahn that the Justice Department subpoenaed information about an email account of his in 2018, and forbade Apple from letting him know, according to a New York Times report.

McGahn’s wife also received a notice of the same kind, the report said, with one source telling the newspaper that Apple received the subpoena on Feb. 23 and another saying it came from a federal grand jury in the Eastern District of Virginia.

Fox News reached out to Apple and the Justice Department for comment but they did not immediately respond.

The report was light on details about the DOJ’s investigation, noting that it was unknown what federal investigators were looking into, or whether McGahn himself was their primary focus or someone with whom he had been in contact. A Times source told the publication that Apple did not tell McGahn what they had turned over.

The Times report did note that Apple received the McGahn subpoena weeks after another subpoena related to an investigation of leaked information related to the Russia probe. That subpoena, reported by the Times last week, covered information including records belonging to California Democratic Reps. Adam Schiff and Eric Swalwell, both fierce critics of Trump while he was in office.

French Island farm linked to Jim Cairns and Junie Morosi for sale

An island farm linked to one of Australia’s greatest political sex scandals, between former Deputy Prime Minister Jim Cairns and his assistant Junie Morosi, is for sale.

The 48.56ha plot at 72 The Rest, French Island — off Victoria’s coast near Phillip Island, was used by Mr Cairns to host counterculture festivals known as ConFests, featuring meditation events, in the late 1970s.

Briefly Deputy PM in the Whitlam government, he was a vocal opponent of Australia’s involvement in the Vietnam War.

But Mr Cairns is possibly better known for a parliamentary sex scandal between him and Ms Morosi.

It wasn’t until 2002 that he admitted having relations with the woman who worked varyingly as his assistant and private secretary, but the pair, both married to other people, were the subject of extensive speculation during the 1970s.

Photos in the national archives show both Mr Cairns and Ms Morosi at the ConFest events on the island and the farm’s current owner Bill Woodward said he believed the pair had spent more much more time there.

“He (Cairns) was either leasing it or he owned it, but he had it for many years,” Mr Woodward said.

“He had a restaurant here (the Red Boat) and ran the ConFests here, all the tents are still here down in the bush.

“The house I’m in now was their residence, and the room where I sleep in was their office.”

Others on French Island confirmed the property hosted the counterculture events, but were less sure about Ms Moroni’s time there.

Mr Woodward has slowly refurbished an 1880s-built second house on the farm he’d intended to run as a farmstay, but now expects the next owner will complete the project that just needs interior lining.

Kelli Ward – AZ AUDIT UPDATE: THIRTEEN STATES Have Visited The Audit – Who Will Be Next?

On Sunday, AZGOP Chairwoman Dr. Kelli Ward Tweeted an outstanding Arizona audit update.

Kelli Ward: “WA, GA, VA, PA, NV, UT, CO, WI, OK, AK, MI, SC, MO have all recently visited the first full forensic audit of an American election – THIRTEEN states. #AmericasAudit is soon to be #AmericasAudits! Arizona is leading the way to #ElectionIntegrity in America.”

13 states have now toured the historic Arizona audit with hope of all 50 states doing the same!

Requests to review this audit have been coming in droves and more states are expected to tour the audit this week, as it will be over by the end of this month.

Who will be next?

13 states are leading the way and seeing firsthand how a forensic audit with controls and transparency is done. This audit was best in class and no comparison to the BS audits done by the Democrats in the county which didn’t look at a single ballot. Encourage your legislatures to do the same. This is a historic battle.

South Florida Investigative Reporter Michele Gillen Dies

MIAMI—Michele Gillen, a former South Florida television investigative reporter, has died. She was 66.

Longtime friend and producer Marcia Izaguirre confirmed Gillen’s death from natural causes in a Facebook post Friday.

“For all those who knew her, she was a relentless warrior who fought indefatigably for the vulnerable,” Izaguirre wrote. “In every story she delved into, she aimed to discover the truth and spur change to improve the quality of life of her community.”

Gillen won 39 local Emmys over several decades.

Gillen graduated from Emerson College in Boston in 1977 and took a job at a TV station in Bangor, Maine, a short time later. She moved to Miami in 1980 to work for WPLG-ABC10, where Izaguirre said Gillen’s work on housing facilities for the elderly led to national legislation against elder abuse.

Gillen moved to NBC in 1988 as a correspondent for the national news program, “Dateline.” Gillen was moved to NBC’s Miami affiliate, WTVJ, in 1993 following a scandal over staged crash tests on General Motors trucks.

Gillen went to KCBS-TV in Los Angeles in 1995 and returned to Miami two years later as an investigative reporter for WFOR-CBS4. She stayed there until 2018, when the station declined to renew her contract.
