One of the things that gets me is that there were actually Millions of years of history in which there were human-like life forms.
I'm wondering if we were genetically engineered to be this way, they could be breeding some kinda creature that does, well, that does, perhaps, exactly what we're doing.
That's why it's time for the Great Reset, they're ready to take the specimens they wanted to breed (not sure if we're even in that group) and then they're basically gonna start working on their next fun project.
