Eight people in Maine have died with COVID after being fully vaccinated, according to the latest numbers from Maine’s Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), which confirmed a total of 457 breakthrough cases in the state.

Initial data suggest breakthrough cases in Maine are more common in older individuals and people with underlying health conditions — the same populations that, among the unvaccinated, are most at risk of hospitalization or death from the virus.

Report: Federal Reserve tells workers to avoid using 'biased terms' like 'Founding Fathers,' 'manmade' — and even 'singular generic pronouns'

https://www.theblaze.com/news/federal-reserve-biased-terms-founding-fathers?utm_source=63red.com&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=63red

The Federal Reserve told employees to avoid using "biased terms" such as "Founding Fathers," "manmade" — and even to ditch "singular generic pronouns," Fox News reported, citing an internal webpage the cable network said it obtained.

A former Fed staffer with knowledge of the matter told Fox News the Federal Reserve's Board of Governors issued the guidance for all employees nationwide April 29.

"Bias-free language recognizes diversity and avoids stereotyping, demeaning, or excluding people on the basis of gender, race, ethnic group, religion, age, ability/disability, or sexual orientation," the guidance states, according to the cable network.

"Try to avoid words and phrases that may be considered offensive, pejorative, or prejudiced (whether consciously or unconsciously), as these can distract your audience from the ideas/information you're trying to convey," the guidance also says, Fox News noted.

"manmade"?

Like the funny money they keep printing?

Biden Administration Is Forcing the Navy to Make a False Choice

https://www.dailysignal.com/2021/06/14/the-biden-administration-is-forcing-the-navy-to-make-a-false-choice/?utm_source=63red.com&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=63red

The executive branch showers the federal government with easy money. It seems odd, then, that the federal government is making the Department of Defense choose between a false set of budget options when investing in defense—especially the Navy and cybersecurity—yields high returns.

Consider the following events that have taken place over the past three months:

Russian cyber attackers shut down the Colonial Pipeline Co.—the largest in the U.S.—for one week, which caused gas shortages in the U.S.

Russian cyberattackers also infiltrated the U.S. division of JBS S.A., America’s largest meat producer, which increased meat prices.

In both instances, the Department of Justice recovered some of the paid ransoms, but these attacks underscore patterns of vulnerability.

More than 100,000 Russian troops massed the Ukraine border for exercises that could precede an invasion. Russia also mobilized its navy in the Black Sea around Crimea, which it illegally annexed in 2014.

China is demonstrating aggressive behavior toward its neighbors. China is illegally operating hundreds of Chinese coast guard, maritime militia, and fishing vessels in Philippine territory in the South China Sea. Maintaining U.S. presence in the South China Sea will decrease China’s presence in the region.

The Chinese Navy recently conducted drills with its aircraft carrier to the north and east of Taiwan. The largest Chinese air incursions into Taiwan’s southern airspace occurred at the same time of these drills.

These recent challenges comprise just a few of the thousands the U.S. Navy faces every day at sea.

Despite these growing threats, the Biden administration will not grow the defense budget to keep up with growing inflation. The Navy has delayed shipbuilding plans, shrunk its manpower, and withdrawn from modernization opportunities, leaving America more vulnerable to more attacks from China and Russia.

Deputy Secretary of Defense Kathleen Hicks said in June that the 2022 defense budget will meet the challenges from China. But the Pentagon’s budget does not deter or even keep up with China’s growing military.

Since 2005, China has built an archipelago of man-made military garrisons in the South China Sea and added 117 warships to its fleet. The U.S. Navy added five during that same time.

China’s People’s Liberation Army is growing its fleet and infantry forces, indicating that China plans to complete operations far away from its homeland.

This defense reduces the Navy’s manpower and decommissions and cuts procurements of new Navy warships while prioritizing research and development. President Joe Biden’s team bets conflict will take place in the distant future—if at all.

Adm. Philip Davidson, commander of the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command, testified that China is making necessary investments to start a war against Taiwan—a U.S. ally—within six years.

In this context, the Pentagon’s budget, particularly with the Navy, makes little sense.

In a recently released memo, acting Navy Secretary Thomas Harker laid the federal government’s astonishing requirements on the Navy’s future budgets, likely at the direction of Hicks’ office.

In this memo, the Navy is told to slash base-operating support funds by 5% while funding educational efforts, violence prevention programs (e.g., sexual assault), and an office dedicated to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

How Zuckerberg Millions Paid for Progressives to Work With 2020 Election Officials Nationwide

https://www.dailysignal.com/2021/06/14/how-zuckerberg-millions-paid-for-progressives-to-work-with-2020-election-officials-nationwide/

In the months leading up to November’s election, voting officials in major cities and counties worked with a progressive group funded by Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg and its allies to create ballots, strategically target voters, and develop “cure” letters in situations where mail-in ballots were in danger of being tossed out.

The Center for Tech and Civic Life provided millions of dollars in private funding for the elections that came from a $350 million donation from Zuckerberg and his wife, Priscilla Chan. The Center for Tech and Civic Life gave “COVID-19 response” grants of varying amounts to 2,500 municipalities in 49 states.

In exchange for the money, elections divisions agreed to conduct their elections according to conditions set out by the Center for Tech and Civic Life, which is led by former members of the New Organizing Institute, a training center for progressive groups and Democratic campaigns.

A Center for Tech and Civic Life partner, the Center for Civic Design, helped design absentee ballot forms and instructions, crafted voter registration letters for felons, and tested automatic voter registration systems in several states, working alongside progressive activist groups in Michigan and directly with elections offices in Georgia and Utah.

Still other groups with a progressive leaning, including the Main Street Alliance, The Elections Group, and the National Vote at Home Institute, provided support for some elections offices.

Facebook, with the Center for Tech and Civic Life, was also part of the effort, providing a guide and webinar for election officials on how to engage voters. Included were directions to report “voter interference” to Facebook authorities. The company also provided designated employees in six regions of the U.S. to handle questions.

Together, the groups strategically targeted voters and waged a voter assistance campaign aimed at low-income and minority residents who typically shun election participation, helping Democratic candidates win key spots all over the U.S.

AOC Attacks Our Elections, and Accidentally Gives Dems' Game Away

https://redstate.com/bonchie/2021/06/13/aoc-attacks-our-elections-and-accidentally-gives-dems-game-away-n396263

While any number of serious issues exist currently in the United States, including things like out-of-control inflation and a border crisis, Democrats are focused like a laser beam on passing a federal takeover of the voting system. In case you haven’t been taking notes, it’s completely out of bounds to question the veracity of our current election system — unless you want to mandate ballot harvesting, outlaw voter ID, and make mail-in voting universal across the country. Then, it’s totally cool to suggest our current elections aren’t free and fair.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez discussed this topic today on CNN, and in doing so, she managed to shout the quiet part out loud in a way that may not make her colleagues happy.

"We cannot rely solely on a wish of winning elections"

Oh, really? So Democrats can’t rely on simply winning elections fair and square? How very interesting.

What AOC is admitting here is what Republicans have been saying for months now about this ridiculous push to hand Washington politicians complete control over the country’s elections, from the local level to the federal level. Democrats are scared they can’t win without the built-in, supposedly temporary advantages they received from emergency orders during COVID, some of which violated the law by changing current election laws without going through the proper channels.
