That's bullshit.
If there is any hope, it lies in the hands of the proles.
This "you can't know anything" trope mimics thought-termination rhetoric.
But, while I do understand what you really mean, I was just giving you shit, anon.
Gotta concur here. This is a helpful analogy.
Although, I would suggest that these are permanent fixtures upon the collective unconscious before we die. Dying doesn't appear to be requisite to "the uploads".
Sure. I understand the value of this particular perspective, but it's unhelpful to pretend the two of us aren't sitting down at a keyboard and having a conversation right now. Zooming us out in this setting isn't that helpful.
I am glad some like you are here and can conduct yourselves in a way that's conducive to the intentions of this digital environment, though.
Never change, fren.
I don't mean to seem annoyed with you, I just think adequately interpreting things (and in a timely manner) is helpful to the others here. Maybe if we present it in a palatable way, they can better digest what we're presenting.
Maybe we should explain this concept a little further, since you've sort of threw a wrench in the explanation we've offered.
It used to work the way >>13915119 explains and wasn't exactly impeded. At some point though, the latter part of your suggestion was more or less forcibly implemented: amnesia though each iteration.
But the data isn't just thrown in to the abyss. It's more like you have to regain access through each iteration.
Think about it like this: you've got a cord that connects to this meat bag and also to the other side. Once you get "uploaded" to this side, the connection on the "other side" is severed (now forcibly, whereas before there was some kind of remembering) temporarily. Reconnecting it is the fun part; it's why you came here!
Unfortunately, some asshole(s) ruined The Game and now forgetting isn't a choice you get to make and "leaving" isn't as easy.
Well, genetic memory is the information that's been applicable in past iterations, like a vacuum of experiences, maybe.
The stuff one can access through complicated feats here and now is more or less limited to the confines of this realm. Outside of our reach and outside of this realm is Divine Truth, but that whole isn't really pertinent when we manifest in these physical forms.
It's like a data center gathering aggregations from scrapers: we bring back human experiences to All-Knowing after these forms cease. The scrapers have access to what they need to know while they'reโฆ scraping, but they don't need access to the whole data center outside of their confined role.
Hopefully that makes enough sense.
