"World" is capitalized here. Not usually. Meaningful?
I didn't see anyone make a list of the companies listed in the NYT article Q linked in >>1391298 (LB). These are the companies that were listed as being negatively affected:
German:
Daimler (automaker)
Siemens (locomotives)
French:
PSA Peugot Citroën (automaker)
Total (offshore natural gas exploration)
Airbus (aviation)
American:
Boeing (aviation)
General Electric (misc… Wiki lists aviation, healthcare, power, renewable energy, digital, additive manufacturing, venture capital and finance, lighting, transportation, and oil and gas)
Other than the ties to the Merkel and Macron visits, anything jump out? A lot of transportation related companies… automakers, rail, aviation etc.
Absolutely. Just noting that the specific deal they signed was for locos.
Could also be intended as a first step into the market.
