I'm deaf…. very hard of hearing…. can do many things but people don't want me to because they don't think I'm "safe" because I can't hear…. with hearing aids and lifelong skills I can hear better and function better than many older people in mechanical trades….. but this is what I do because I grew up doing it and I know exactly what I'm doing.

I'm here because I hope to start a factory when this is all done and/or an organic farm.

thank you anon.

should clarify. 90% deaf (severe/profound) without hearing aids. around 40% with hearing aids. skills include lipreading and spatial awareness. I don't put myself into ANY situation that could potentially turn unsafe based on hearing ability. Unfortunately in the mechanical business there's a lot of situations like that that many employers dream up that really aren't there because of spatial awareness and such.

a CNC table is in my dreams….. with the ability to set it up for both plasma and carving. Lots of opportunity there. Combine that with some wire welding and awesome stuff happens.

Yes. I can do it for around $1000 for a 4x8 table if I wanted to build it from scratch. Have to save the $1000 first or wait for money that is coming in a few months.
