Rick Leventhal to Exit Fox News Just as His Wife Kelly Leaves ‘Real Housewives’

Longtime senior correspondent Rick Leventhal is leaving Fox News at the end of the month. The announcement of his departure came Thursday, two days after it was reported that his wife, Kelly Dodd, will not return to Bravo’s “Real Housewives of Orange County” next season.

Leventhal has been with Fox News for 24 years. He and Dodd wed in October 2020.

“Rick Leventhal’s work as a senior correspondent for Fox News Channel has been remarkable,” said a spokesperson for the network Thursday. “From being one of the first reporters at the scene on 9/11, to covering the Iraq War, the War on Terror in Afghanistan, decades of major hurricanes, the death of Osama bin Laden, the Sandy Hook massacre, the Boston Marathon bombing, and a prisoner manhunt at Dannemore, he delivered vivid and powerful journalism that became a signature part of the network’s history.”

Frank Bonner, ‘WKRP in Cincinnati’ and ‘Saved by the Bell’ Actor, Dies at 79

Bonner appeared in 88 of the 90 episodes of “WKRP in Cincinnati,” which aired for four seasons from 1978-82. He also directed six episodes of the sitcom, which followed the misadventures of the staff of a struggling rock radio station in Cincinnati. Bonner’s character was a tasteless sales manager at the station who often failed to secure deals with major advertising agencies. From his signature white belt and shoes to his polyester suits, “plaid boy” would often come into work and be laughed at for his loud outfits. His catchphrase, “Hokay, fine,” was a response used when acknowledging decisions that he didn’t particularly like.
