l found an electronic gate with flashing lights if it opens automatically for you to enter. WTF

Kroger's corporation does not have this is all the Kroger's, but this is a super Kroger, and in a very nice neighborhood in the mid west.

See how the right side is opening for the man walking in. The gate beside it senses no person and remained closed.

l am not a Kroger shopper so l don't know how long this has been installed. My educated guess would be for controlling the crowds during the plandemic. However, l have first hand knowledge that other Kroger's did not install such a controlling device.

Has anyone seen this or have info on the real reason the expense would be allowed for a gate to get in to shop for food?

And or is the gate to hold people inside the store in the future. Think Hansel and Gretel, come in for food but never leave.
