George Soros Interested in Funding Reparations Program in Los Angeles, According to Report

Controversial far-left financier George Soros is interested in helping to fund a reparations program in Los Angeles, according to the city’s mayor, Eric Garcetti.

The mayor announced on Friday that they have formed an L.A. Reparations Advisory Commission, and, according to a report from the Los Angeles Times, said that Soros’ Open Society Foundations had expressed interest in helping to fund their plan for a “pilot reparations program targeted at a cohort of Black Angelenos.”

“Garcetti said the L.A. advisory commission will not look at ‘all racism’ but will ‘look specifically at reparations around where laws held back’ Black Angelenos’ ability to build wealth,” the LA Times report states.

Garcetti told the paper that he also hoped corporations and banks would participate “to begin to make some amends and to push this movement forward.”

However, it would not be considered a way for institutions to “buy forgiveness but to reckon with a complicity that we saw in American capitalism, slavery and post-slavery racism,” Garcetti said.

Garcetti also announced the creation of the National Coalition of Mayors Organized for Reparations and Equity. Which includes eleven mayors from cities including Denver, Austin, Texas, St. Paul, Minn., and Sacramento.

There is currently a battle over whether all black people should be eligible for the liberal city’s reparations program, or just descendants of slaves.

Randy said, “The report is going to come out and there is no doubt that it will be challenged.”

Obviously, the Arizona Senate and Trump supporters will be satisfied when this exceedingly secure and transparent, in-depth full forensic audit is finalized. Trump’s team will not have a challenge no matter what is found. We will finally know the truth about 2020 after this audit is completed.

Recently on John Fredricks Outside the Beltway, Ken Bennett cited “fifty-two people voting from a two-bedroom home somewhere, or people voting twice, or dead people voting” while speaking about the irregularities they are finding.

The only group expected to challenge the outcome of the Senate’s audit is the left. They are expected to object to the audit unless it’s favorable to them.

They have already thrown everything they’ve got legally at this audit to prevent us from finding the results.

This is very telling of what we can expect to find in the coming months.

Australia Takes China To WTO Over Wine Tariffs As Biggest Export Market Gutted

Australia continues reeling from its ongoing trade war with China, lately seeing retaliatory tariffs cause the price of wine to double or triple in China, essentially wiping out Australia's biggest export market.

And now the Aussie government is lodging a formal complaint with the World Trade Organization - specifically over its imposition of anti-dumping duties on Australian wines.

Saturday's announcement marks yet another major escalation, with minister for trade, tourism and investment Dan Tehan stating alongside Agriculture Minister David Littleproud: "The government will continue to vigorously defend the interests of Australian wine makers using the established system in the WTO to resolve our differences."

Canberra further said the decision comes after "extensive consultation with Australia’s winemakers" and added that "Australia remains open to engaging directly with China to resolve this issue."

Tehan further told a public broadcaster: "We’ve always said that we would take a very principled approach when dealing with these trade disputes, and if we think our industry has been harmed or injured we will take all necessary steps and measures to try to address that."

The ongoing tensions were triggered last year after Canberra started seeking a probe into the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, now no doubt exacerbated by calls for investigating Wuhan's labs lately going mainstream among Western allies. The demand led the Chinese diplomats in Australia hinting at "economic coercion" of Australian goods by Chinese companies.

Saturday's complaint to the WTO follows last year's formal appeal to the global trade dispute body over China's imposition of steep tariffs on imports of Australian barley.

Australia has since the whole spat started endured severe collateral damage on everything from seafood to coal to barley to wine to beef, and tourism sectors - along with hitting some other commodities, even timber.

Canberra has frequently voiced its "readiness" to resume dialogue with Beijing yet there's been no substantial breakthrough, particularly as the US has pushed its allies - most recently at the G7 summit in the UK - to take a tougher line on rolling back China's influence.

Illinois Governor Signs Bill Making Laws More 'Gender-Inclusive'

Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker signed a law on Friday making government documents more “gender-inclusive.” Gone will be titles like “alderman” and “congressman.” They will be replaced by “alderperson” and “congressperson.”

I prefer calling a member of Congress a “congresscritter” — more cockroach than human. And what I prefer to call most Chicago aldermen can’t be published on a family news site.

“We see a lot of ‘hes’ and ‘hims’” in state statute, said Democratic state Rep. Maurice West, who co-sponsored the bill.

“And now we have, you know, not just women in office, but we have people who may not identify with any gender. We want to make sure that our voting and our election cycle process is inclusive for everyone.”

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi introduced new congressional rules in January that included language to strip all mention of gender-specific pronouns and terms such as “man,” “woman,” “mother” and “son.” This elicited an incredulous tweet from GOP Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy.

ADL CEO: Omar Equating Hamas and Israel ‘Gives License’ That ‘It’s Open Season to Attack Jews’

During an interview with CBS on Friday, Anti-Defamation League CEO Jonathan Greenblatt stated that statements like Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) equating Hamas and Israel give license to extremists on the left to say that “it’s open season to attack Jews.”

Greenblatt said, “I’ve been very bold about this, calling out the extreme right and the normalization of a kind of inflammatory rhetoric from people on the extreme right like a Marjorie Taylor Greene that give[s] license to people, as we saw on January the 6 with the Camp Auschwitz sweatshirts, right? They feel emboldened in an environment where leaders give them free license. So, by the same token, when Congresswoman Omar equates Hamas and Israel, when Congresswoman Tlaib accuses the country of ethnic cleansing, right? Technology company remotely turns up Texas ‘smart thermostats’ during heat spike, report

"They woke up sweating," one man says of family.

At least one company is reportedly turning up Texas consumers’ digital "smart thermometers" remotely during the state’s ongoing heat spike in an effort to conserve energy.

A homeowner told local media his wife and daughters "woke up sweating" after an afternoon nap to find the temperature on their home thermostat had been raised.

The company that installed their thermostat allegedly informed them that it had raised their house’s temperature remotely during an "energy saving event."

The company, EnergyHub, stipulates on its website that consumers who enter a $5,000 promotional sweepstakes must allow the company to "control his or her thermostat to reduce demand during a specified event period."

However, it's unclear whether just those who entered the sweepstakes or all customers were subject to the thermostat changes.
