I would use the analogy of someone like say, Dutchsinse, announcing a report was being prepared that proved an earthquake was going to hit CA, then having the earthquake occur before the report was published.
People, at that point, would read the report to find out why it occurred, rather than to read it in order to try to debunk anything in it.
So, pressure arising from the uncertainty among the pawns of their being thrown to the wolves, and having those pawns flip for a deal, will break the narrative first.
Audit report delay probably a good thing in that regard. Report of some group in AZ wanting FOIA like access to data shows they don't know what the fuck, or how much of it, is going to come out. That's why, IMO, CM is hammering the wobblies.
