Justin Trudeau is looking for a contractor to re-educate middle-aged white people about how racist they are.

The federal government’s tenders and contracts website put a call out looking for right professional scold for the job last week:

The department of Canadian Heritage requires the services of a contractor on an as-and-when requested basis to develop, implement, manage, create awareness of, facilitate the exchange of information, and report on marketing programs and content integration in support of the public education and awareness anti-racism campaign targeted to non-racialized Canadians, middle-aged adults, and non-racialized Canadian adults.

The program to lecture the David Menzies and other middle-aged white guys of the world about how awful they are is proposed to run from July 15, 2021 to March 31, 2022, with an option to extend the program twice for separate one year intervals.

Costs for the project won’t be known until the bid process is complete later this month, but one thing is certain: racial scolding never comes cheap.

Israel insists near-expired vaccines rejected by PA ‘perfectly sound’ as Palestinian groups demand probe into deal

The Pfizer vaccines, which the Palestinian Authority (PA) rejected on Friday due to close expiration date, were identical to those given to citizens inside Israel, the country’s health ministry said.

Earlier this week, the sides agreed that Israel would transfer its short-dated doses of the US-made jab to the occupied West Bank so that PA could accelerate its lagging vaccination campaign. In exchange, the Jewish state was to receive the fresh ampules of the vaccine that Pfizer had been scheduled to deliver to Palestine this autumn.

But after receiving the first delivery of some 90,000 doses from Israel on Friday, the Palestinian Authority called off the deal over claims that the vaccines didn’t meet technical specifications and that “their expiry date was too close.”

On Saturday, Israeli Health Ministry said that it was surprised by the Palestinian move. The doses of the immunization that were sent to the PA were “perfectly sound” and “identical in every way to the vaccines currently being given to citizens of Israel,” it insisted.

The ministry didn’t see a problem in the fact that those vaccines were to expire in late June as the manufacturer deems them perfectly safe for use. The rest of the doses involved in the deal were good until the end of July.

It also claimed that the Palestinians were well aware of the expiration dates before the delivery. “We hope that the vaccination campaign in the Palestinian Authority will begin soon,” the Health Ministry said.

The news of the initial deal stirred up controversy among Palestinians, who generally don’t trust Israel. Some feared that potentially subpar vaccines could end up damaging their health instead of providing protection against the coronavirus.

‘Democracy is dead’: Time-travelling Katy Perry & Orlando Bloom star in ‘cringe’ pro-Democrat political ad to conservative mockery

Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have been mocked by conservatives for a hammed-up political ad warning America that democracy will be “dead” in the future unless they support some Democrat-pushed voting bills.

Released on Thursday, the ad stars Perry and Bloom as a pair of ragtag freedom fighters living under a presumably Republican dictatorship in the year 2055. In a message beamed back to the present day, they warn that “Democracy is dead” in the future, and that “the regime watches our every move.”

“It started when voter suppression ran wild all over America,” Perry states, referencing a slew of state-level bills that their Republican sponsors say will tighten up election security, but Democrats argue would make it more difficult to vote.

Perry and Bloom then move on to the hard sell. “Save Democracy while you can!” Bloom shouts, while Perry demands viewers “Call your Senator now!” The video ends with jackbooted riot police kicking down the door of the two heroes’ hideout, and closes with a message: “Call your senator and tell them to pass the For the People Act.”

The act is a piece of Democrat-sponsored legislation that would automatically enroll voters, expand mail-in voting nationally, and prohibit election officials from using certain methods to question someone’s eligibility to vote or remove a person from voting rolls. It would also prohibit “onerous voter identification requirements,” which Republicans and multiple governments across the developed world argue are necessary, at least on some level, to prevent fraud.

Although it was shared and reposted by liberal activists and Perry and Bloom’s Hollywood pals, the ad was mocked into the ground by the right. “Cringe suppression now,” conservative pundit Mike Cernovich jibed, while reporter Mairead McArdle described it as “the most cringe thing I've ever seen.”

Despite Perry and Bloom’s time-traveling message, the chances of the For The People Act passing any time soon are fairly slim. Passing the legislation would require a 60-40 vote in the Senate, and the Democrats right now hold a 51-50 majority, when the tie-breaking vote of Vice-President Kamala Harris is taken into account. Without another vote to eliminate the filibuster – the rule that mandates the 60-40 vote requirement – the bill is frozen in the Senate.

Manhattan City Council Candidate Comments on Video of Him ‘Tortured’ By Dominatrix

Screenwriter and actor Zack Weiner runs for the Upper West Side’s 6th District in Manhattan. In the early primary voting that will take place on 22 June he was said to be confronted by weightier opponents.

Zack Weiner, 26, a City Council candidate running in Manhattan, commented on a leaked video showing him taking part in a BDMS session. He told the New York Post that he is not ashamed, expressed his displeasure with what he described as an invasion of privacy.

The video was tweeted by an anonymous user last week. The Twitter account was said to have been deleted and later reinstated.

“My magnificent domme friend played with Upper West Side city council candidate Zack Weiner and I’m the only one who has the footage,” the anonymous user tweeted.

The footage was said to be recorded at the Parthenon studio 18 months ago in midtown. Weiner explained that the woman is his ex-girlfriend, and he met her at a Halloween party in 2019. Weiner refused to reveal her name and stressed that he does not know for what reason the file was made public.

He told the newspaper it was “definitely a violation of trust” and said that he is “a proud BDSMer” and enjoys this kind of consensual activity.

“I didn’t want anyone to see that, but here we are. I am not ashamed of the private video circulating of me on Twitter. This was a recreational activity that I did with my friend at the time, for fun. Like many young people, I have grown into a world where some of our most private moments have been documented online,” Weiner said in a statement.

Weiner’s campaign has gained nearly $10,000 in donations and his rivals include the Manhattan borough president, Gale Brewer.

Toronto Shooting Injures 4, Including 3 Children

The shooting occurred at a birthday party, with the police called to Tandridge Crescent near Byng Avenue at around 8 p.m., local time. The authorities said they have multiple suspects.
