Simple. If you don't believe the bible or in God, then there are NO absolute moral codes and each individual can make up their own. On the other hand, if God actually does exist, then so do His laws and morals, in which case, you use His laws as the guide.

Only two real choices, God exists, and therefore so do His standards, or He doesn't exist, and you can do whatever the fuck you want.

Guess which view the leftists typically take?

That's exactly what they do. It always makes me laugh when leftist atheists try to take the, "moral high ground," when morals are based on, and come from God, which they don't believe in. So how does that work?

Here is their logic: I don't believe in God, who gave us a moral code, but I want to pretend that I myself actually have morals, even though I don't believe in the guy who gave them to us in the first place.

Morals are either absolute, or they are subjective. The ONLY way you could get absolute morals, is from God, otherwise they are just man made rules that are subject to the whims of human nature, and are certainly very, very subjective and malleable.

i will simplify things because I am pretty sure you won't answer a direct question with a direct answer and will just dance around playing semantic word games.

It would seem you prefer the subjective option. Okay, well, if what you call morals, are just a, "generations-old mechanism to not destroy ourselves and live happy, fulfilling lives," then who's to say what is right and what is wrong? It's like the other poster said, it leads to moral relativism. If you take God out of the equation, then all you are left with are some man made rules that are subject to interpretation and have no real authority. Which means, people can pretty much do whatever they feel is, "moral." That leads to all kinds of problems. Whose definitions do we use? I may have my own definition, you going to obey my version? See where that leads?

Logical conclusion right? Except you reject it. I wonder why. There IS only one answer, but you don't want to say it. Love that open mind of yours. KEK.

Absolute but self emergent? My, you DO love the word play. Emerging from what? Men? Subject to people changing their minds? If so, not very absolute is it? Can people change their minds? Doesn't sound very absolute to me.

The bottom line is, you CAN'T have an absolute moral code and leave God out of the equation, it just isn't possible. It is either given by God, or it is man made. Only one of the two is the correct answer.

Sounds like new age hippie speak to me. Love and light and all that. It does you NO GOOD if you don't involve the creator. I'm sure satan loves things, does that make him good?

I would agree that some people, are naturally inclined to moral behavior. I don't dispute that. All I am saying is, morals are from God, at least the ones that matter and are ABSOLUTE. All others are, and can ONLY be man made and completely subjective.

KEK. No problem, and thank you for not screeching and wailing. I will leave you with this.

Rom 2:12  For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law;

Rom 2:13  (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.

Rom 2:14  For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:

Rom 2:15  Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;)
