I try to tell people this as well, Anon. People are so brainwashed in the current financial system, they can't wrap their brain around the idea that people don't HAVE to make money in the business of money. I try to explain that it's possible that. $300k home loan could be reduced to $330k with only a "fee" charged instead of compounding interest costing an extra $200k over 30 years. They always say, "well why would the bank loan anyone money?" And then I have to say again, "because money will no longer be PRIVATE!" And then that still struggle to see the possibility. But when I tell them, "think of what you could do with an extra $170k over 30 years (like put three or four kids through college without student loans)," then they start to pay attention.
Indeed! The EU won't militarily attack US mainland, but they could roll into Poland or Hungary to draw us out. But, that would draw in Russia as well.
